About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- sarahrO2765LF0 contributionsBest tour in ChileOur tour guide Juan, made this such an amazing day! He was knowledgeable on so many things historical/social/agriculture and we had so much fun. Lots of laughs and tailored to exactly what we wanted to do. Horseback ride along the coast, sea lions at the port, Valparaiso market, and stop at a winery!Written 8 September 2024
- jpsdrivesfast10 contributionsLoved our tour with Mauricio! We had a wonderful day in Valparaiso and Viña Del Mar with our driver and tour guide Mauricio with Huaso Tours. This was our first trip to Chile and we were excited to get an in-depth view of the culture, history, and sights. Mauricio was very accommodating with a comfortable van and well stocked with water and all the things we might need on our drive. On our drive, he engaged us with stories about the country and places we were going to visit. We also loved the fact that he tailored the tour to our interests after asking us what we would rather spend our time seeing and experiencing. Unlike other tour guides, he did not send us into any tourist traps with pressure to purchase items. By the end of our trip, we felt like long time friends! Mauricio speaks excellent English, so we would definitely recommend him for any tourists from the US or English speaking countries.Written 27 August 2024
- 584taylorh0 contributionsBike through SantiagoPerfect way to see the different parks in Santiago. I did not have the skill needed for this tour, but Balthazar was super accommodation and found a way for me to get down. Note that you will be biking up hill for a good chunk of this tour but the views are worth it.Written 19 August 2024
- 150alad0 contributionsRecommend! My husband and I did this tour. Wonderful, easy-going way to see the cultural highlights of the city. Santiago is great for cycling. Jaime, our guide, took great care of us. So glad we did this. I recommend doing this early in your stay so that you can plan where you want to spend more time if you have a few days in Santiago.Written 13 August 2024
- G9228ZUallenw0 contributionsNot greatMy wife and I travel a lot and in every new city we take a city tour to learn more about the area. Our tour guide Jaime did not seem interested in doing the tour. There was little discussion about the different areas we were traveling through. We had a driver so Jaime had no reason to not engage. There never seemed to bring up much history of the city. We had a food tour the day before that brought us to the Central Market ... upon hearing this Jaime cut that portion out. Our tour was just 3 hours ... not worth it.Written 13 August 2024
- 392candacer0 contributionsA great day in Canyon de MaipoThis tour was amazing! Mauricio our tour guide went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. He brought my husband and I hiking to see the lake and had a great lunch and delicious wine after at Concha y Toro. Would highly recommend this tour!Written 13 August 2024

- Kim M0 contributionsGreat day out to the AndesGreat day out to the Andes with our wonderful guide Juan. His energy and humour was made our day fun and enlightening. The drive out to the reservoir was incredible and we had fun freaking through the snow, on a beautiful clear day. The traffic out of the reservoir was becoming an issue but Juan handled it perfectly and got us out of a tricky situation. Stops at the chocolate factory and a traditional sandwich afterwards were great, and we really appreciated seeing the countryside after being in the big city . We can Iggy recommend this tour and our guide JuanWritten 21 July 2024
- J2868HWjessicas0 contributionsA wonderful day trip!Juan was an amazing guide, and took us up to see the reservoir. There was even the option to rent proper trekking shoes for the walk around the reservoir (due to the snow), and even though the roads were understandably not great for this time of the year, Juan handled them with grace. We were able to try some more traditional sandwiches afterwards for lunch, which were also fantastic!Written 23 June 2024
- Sean K0 contributionsGreat ride with a great guideGreat way to see some of Santiago. The bike was comfortable, the route was interesting and varied and Tomas was a superb guide.Written 20 June 2024

- cultureandtravel20190 contributionsGreat time in Chile! We had a great time at our Casablanca wine tour and in Valparaiso. Our guide Cristián was wonderful! He picked us up from the hotel and not only he took us to these great locations but also shared a lot of cultural context, videos, pop culture and history of the places we went to which was important to me. The wine tour was also great. We had 30 minutes touring the place and then tasting and it was a great experience. If I go to Chile again, I would book a trip to Andes (we could not go due to weather) with the same tour company and Cristian as our guide. Totally recommend working with this company and Cristian as your guide if you are looking for a private tour that is safe and fun! Thanks Cristián for a great time while we were in Chile!Written 29 May 2024
- Dumaruth0 contributionsGreat tourFantastic trip both educational and challenging. After easy ride and tour of the city proceeded to do a nice moderate climb and witness some spectacular views. Single track downhill was in great condition and our guide was great. Spoke fluid English and Spanish.Written 25 May 2024

Given the relatively high price, I was expecting a unique experience, and I was not disappointed in the slightest. This was all thanks to the exceptional tour guide, Lautaro, who was knowledgeable, passionate, and, most importantly, sincere. We discussed history, geography, politics, music, arts, religion, food, climate change, his family, his career, etc. during a walking tour tailored to my hotel location and personal interests. Lautaro's love for his country and culture is so contagious that I genuinely became more interested in what has happened and is happening in this land. Thank you, Lautaro!

This walking tour offered a great overview of the neighborhoods of central Santiago. Our guide Juan was very knowledgeable of Chilean history and geopolitics - highly recommend him. We scheduled the tour for the morning after we arrived on a long flight from US. It was the perfect way to get some exercise while we waited for our hotel check in time and to learn our way around the city. We chose this tour because was all walking (and a short metro ride) versus some that were car or van. The tour ended at the funicular which we enjoyed on our own and Juan gave us directions to walk back to the hotel after.

Tomas was a wonderful guide. He was full of interesting details about the city and all the places we visited and he did a superb job of answering all of our questions. The itinerary was really interesting. We have been on walking tours of cities all over the world and this was definitely one of the best.

If I could give six stars I could. Cristian is amazing; I’ve been fortunate enough to been on these types of tours on five continents, and Cristian is one of the best if not the best. Kind and outgoing and warm and knowledgeable and thoughtful and well versed on so many parts of Santiago and Chile! Great English too.
Highly recommend

My time with Laura was wonderful! She knows the city and its history well. Before we started she sought my input on our itinerary. I saw exceptional street art, historic sites, beautiful parks and local bookstores I never would have found on my own. She served as my interpreter to allow me to engage with public teachers protesting resources available to them in rural areas and poor pay - not so different from rural Texas. A great use of my brief time in Santiago.

Andres was a wonderful guide on our walk through the Santiago’s downtown. His knowledge of the history of Chile and how it fit into the world, the culture, the country, the city and the neighborhoods was enlightening and educational. On top of all that, he was a pleasure to be with. Special thanks to Andres for a wonderful afternoon.

Tomas did a fabulous job on the tour. We got to ride the Metro, and see all the sites. Tomas had great information on the history of each site, important statues as well as good knowledge of local flora and fauna (which we appreciated). He was also very patient with us asking a lot of questions and doing his best to answer them all. It was a great tour and Tomas is highly recommended.

As a former tour guide myself I really appreciate your guides that are knowledgeable and passionate about the tours they lead. Juan was both and so much more!!
Juan was friendly, personable, and so much fun to be around!! The 3 1/2 hours with him flew by as we walked through neighborhoods and markets. Learning about the history and culture through Juan really brought the city alive for us!
This was by far the best city walking tour we’ve ever done! We felt safe as we toured the various areas. There’s a lot of walking involved, which we loved!!
We can highly recommend this tour! We ran into Juan the next day when we went to San Cristobal Hill on our own. He gave us big hugs and we feel like we made a friend in Santiago!

Claudio was a wonderful tour guide, and had a lot of perspective to offer regarding the history of the city! He was very informative and happy to answer all of our questions. He also tailored the tour slightly given what we had already seen around Santiago, since we booked this tour near the end of our stay, which was fantastic. He took us to a great coffee shop, and we felt like we were really able to have a good understanding of the city afterwards.

Our guide, Jamie, was fantastic. He explained everything well; sights, history, culture. The tour was customized to our interests. He also showed us how to use the subway and gave pointers on things we could do on our own later. I highly recommend Jamie and our tour guide company, Huaso Tours in order to learn about Santiago
