After picking up all our passengers at their respective hotels, we will go to Vinicola Concha y Toro to see where its characteristic and famous wine is produced. The traditional Concha y Toro vineyard was established in 1980 in the prestigious Maipo Valley region, where the well-known legend of "Casillero del Diablo" was born. This is where our tour offers a guided tour with trilingual guides (Portuguese, English, Spanish) who will accompany you throughout the visit, guiding you and providing you with very interesting information throughout their family gardens. This tour includes a delicious wine tasting in its typical cellars where you can taste 3 of its wines and discover the unique flavor that Concha y Toro offers. You will also have a beautiful glass of wine as a gift.

          Fascinating, Vibrant Place
A fascinating and vibrant place, the old town is cobbled and hilly. The street art and graffiti in the old quarters is amazing. We missed the funicular because it was closed for maintenance. Pablo Neruda's house was fascinating. The seafront, away from the industrial/ port area, was delightful. Well worth a day trip from Santiago.

          Valparaiso and Vina del Mar
We enjoyed our day trip to Valparaiso and Vina del Mar tremendously. We had low expectations, given that we were the only English speakers on a tour with Portugese speakers. Rodrigo assured us that he could handle the duality, and he did it masterfully! We were very impressed by not only his care in providing all the information in both languages, but also in taking pictures, providing suggestions for other activities, ensuring an allergy was recognized during lunch. Valparaiso and Vina del Mar share a bay, but are so very different; seeing the contrast was stunning. There were many moments we will treasure, but the highlight was seeing the Moai from Rapa Nui. We have fabulous memories from our day on the tour; we are so pleased we did it, and would certainly recommend it.

Find a different tour or explore these cities on your own
This was an awful experience, which fortunately only lasted until we finally, after a very long and grueling bus ride, got to Valparaiso, As soon as could finally get off the bus at our destination, we ditched the group and explored Valparaiso and Vina del Mar on our own. The reason we explored on our own is because it took a full 4 hours to get to Valparaiso, and I didn't want to spend nearly the entire day on a small and cramped bus (with less legroom than on an airplane seat in economy). On the way to Valparaiso, which again took 4 hours, the bus drove around and around the city picking up other tourists. I understand there are other tourists that have to be picked up, but it took nearly 2 hours to even get out of the city after I was picked up. And it that wasn't bad enough, there was a lengthy intermediate stop for breakfast, with extremely limited food options. I might have overlooked the very long time we spent on the bus (did I mention that it took 4 hours to reach our destination?), had the tour guide been knowledgeable, but she was not. Everything she told us (which was not much) you could find on Wikipedia. Finally, Smart Tour did a very poor job of communicating with us.

Absolutely terrible with communications and logistics
Was really excited as a couple to head to Valparaiso and Viña Del Mar for a day tour. It was so bad during the first 4 hours that we told the tour guide we would be on our own for the rest of the day, which was honestly the best decision we made that day. For context, have done several other day trip guided tours in multiple countries and this was by far the worst. First off: Poor communications (no transparency and lack of proactiveness). I messaged the tour company multiple times the 1-2 days leading up to the trip to get an ETA of pick-up. The itinerary is so vague - is it pick-up as early as 6:30 AM or as late as 9 AM? I did finally hear from someone at past 10 PM the day before saying they would pick us up around 7 AM (what a generous heads-up). They kept claiming they could not reach me, but I provided two separate cell phone numbers. I've done other day tours where they would reach out (through Tripadvisor or WhatsApp, if needed) and provide a rough ETA (e.g., we will arrive at 8:30 AM +/- 10 minutes). Second: Logistics. I understand that for full day tours they do pick-ups / drop-offs. What I didn't expect was that it would take a full 2 hours to pick-up everyone. Keep in mind, a drive to Valaparaiso from Santiago in base traffic takes less than 2 hrs; so we would've essentially already arrived there. The "breakfast" stop in Casablanca was totally not worth it. We were there for about 35 minutes. Think of the stop as a mini flea market in the middle of nowhere and trying to rip you off with 4500 CLP filtered coffee (~5 USD). All in all, it took roughly 4 hours from my pick-up to get to Valparaiso. We managed to get back to Santiago on our own via Flixbus, and there are actually many other bus providers from the Viña del Mar bus depot and they drop off in 2 locations in Santiago: Pajaritos Line 1 stop or Estacio Central Line 1 stop. The price of the tickets booked that day was roughly ~7 USD per person (a fraction of the cost of the tour) and took 1h 30 minutes to get from Viña del Mar to Pajaritos. The Flixbus which was a real charter bus was 10x more comfortable than the tour van provided by the tour company (the seats on the tour company's van was smaller than any airplane seat I've sat on). Several recommendations to tour company: - be more transparent about itinerary and estimated timing - be more proactive about communications (the customer shouldn't have to reach out multiple times) - optimize logistics/pick-ups so it doesn't take 2 hours for pick-ups (and probably just as long for drop-offs)

          Great but long day out.
Communication via what's app let us know what time we were to be picked up, which was excellent. We went first to a wine tasting tourist stop with bathrooms, souvenirs, food, etc. Then, onto Valparaiso. Fantastic city to visit, full of amazing art / graffiti and quaint streets. Then on to Vino del Mar where we had lunch at a very nice Seafood restaurant. Being a vegetarian, there were only a couple of options, such as fries or salad. Then, we stopped briefly at the beach and at an Easter Moai statue before heading home. All as promised. Due to traffic, we did not get home til 7pm tho so it was a much longer trip than we had thought. The guide did speak English, but it was hard to hear him in the van as he had no microphone.

          Highly recommended
I was visiting Chile from the US and booked this trip through TripAdvidor. They answered promptly to questions before the trip and kept everyone informed until the end. The guide Alejandro was very knowledgeable and upbeat, he made the trip very enjoyable. The driver Juan Pablo was very courteous and did a good job with driving, and keeping everyone safe and comfortable. We stopped for lunch in Villa Del Mar and de food was absolutely delicious.

          One day tour
Very satisfied with a tour. Salvador was our tour guy and he is great, knowledgeable and smart. He was switching from one language to another quick and easy using three languages. Very well organized from beginning to the end. I was traveling with my two kids ( 3 and 6 years old) and it went smooth and nice. Nickolas (driver) kept us safe. I would recommend.

          A good day trip!
Full day tour and includes a lot of history. The drive to the coast is about an hour and a half. The walking tour in Valparaiso was great and not difficult. Vina Del Mar was nice to see the beach. It’s a good day trip from Santiago.

          Poor tour operator
Our trip really should have been canceled and refunded. Farellones was closed due to no snow, and that was to be 70% of the trip. The tour operator let us know the day before, but would not let us cancel. We had no interest in skiing, but they stuck us on the "ski day" and made it a "panoramic tour", which was just driving around to the closed ski resorts. The tour guide was kind and tried his best, but got stuck with a poor situation, trying to appease us, who they should have just refunded. To top it off, the driver got lost on the way home (I know...who gets lost driving in the Google Maps age), so the drive home took almost 3 hours. Poor all-around effort from SmartTour.

          Amazing trip and team
The trip to Farellones and Valle Nevado was better than we plan. All the team, since the first contact by email/WhatsApp to the final, when we arrived at hotel, was so attentious!

Quick excursion. We tasted 3 wines (may be more while it was worth it), transfer on schedule and good people.

The narrow part of the story of the casillero del diablo could be much more elaborate in the collective horror. He left to wish.
Little law. But not as terrifying as I was promised. All very expensive not buy there new but in the market

We were promptly picked up at our AirBnB.
The drive was mostly pleasant, in an air conditioned van.
The tour started slowly, due to an english speaking guide not being
        available.
The tour through the grounds was lovely.
The best part was the premium wine tasting with cheese, be sure to
purchase the premium package. I would have been disappointed with
        the general tour.

We made two trips with the Smart Tour and it was all within normality, I recommend the company! Some problems I noticed were common in the high season, as Chile does not have as much structure for tourism as other countries. With the Smart Tour I did Farellones and Concha y Toro, the Guide Victor and the driver, respectively, were great! As the other company I paid tour I had numerous problems, called Santiago Chile Tour, compared to the Smart Tour, I found this perfect! For example, the Smart Tour Guide gave us a quick 20-minute access to the farellones park and bought our tickets for us, the customers who took the same tour by the other company went without a Guide and took a 2-hour queue to get into the park (I was in the van with them the day, but my tour was another).

Amazing tour of the vineyard and first class wine tasting event, as well as the additional Marques tasting. Very enjoyable and very interesting. The only problem was the queuing and the slowness of the shop prevented me spending any money as I was out of time.

I don't understand why the visit starts so early and so quickly, they move to 8 in the morning to start the visit at 10 am.
And taste very good wine so early without being accompanied by cheese or snacks and also quickly because it is urgent to return
Spending so much for an hour and a half at the concha y toro vineyard

        What a disappointment
