What to expect
Receive a pickup from one of the select hotels in Valparaiso or Viña del Mar in the morning and head to the day’s first stop at Cerro Florida, site of La Sebastiana. This historic house-turned museum was the one-time home of Nobel Prize-winning Chilean poet Pablo Neruda (admission at your own expense). Continue your Valparaiso visit by driving ever higher into the city’s picturesque hills, admiring panoramic views of the ocean and port below, as you proceed to the Cerro Concepción neighborhood. Stroll the famous Paseo Atkinson of this trendy area, learning about the many immigrants that once settled its streets during Valparaiso’s heyday. Add to your growing historic knowledge of Valparaiso by descending to the Plaza Sotomayor, one of this Chilean port city’s most iconic squares. Explore the Old Aduana (customs house), today part of a complex owned by the Chilean military, and stop by a statue dedicated to Arturo Prat, celebrated as a national hero for his role in the Pacific War. Proceed to your next Valparaiso adventure by riding aboard one of the city’s famous funiculars, a series of short rail lines that ascend up the town’s steep hills. After scaling to the top of Paseo 21 de Mayo street, you’ll make one last stop in Cerro Playa Ancha, where you can explore the Merchant Marine viewpoint and its gorgeous amphitheater. At the end of your trip, receive a drop-off back at select hotels.

Booking process is dishonest!!
Very unprofessional company and a nightmare to deal with. Booking link via Viator delivers a full confirmation and itinerary. However, that does not mean your booking is confirmed! Oh no, you have to wait until the local operator "checks" availability (hang on? haven't I just received confirmation from the Tripadvisor owned company Viator?). The local agent Flavia was incredibly rude and unhelpful and has zero customer service skills. The manager at Gray Line was called Riccardo and takes incompetence to a new level. Finally found out 2 hours later there wasn't any availability (again odd as I've got Viators FULLY confirmed booking voucher).

So NEVER book this company!! They are liars and Tripadvisor and Viator are complicit in their dishonest practices.
