Full day and lots to see
Our guide, Diego, picked us up at our hotel in Puembo for an extra fee. Once we were in the old town area, he parked the car and we started walking. It was interesting being on a private tour with just us two and the guide. He gave us a lot of history as we walked the streets. Diego was good with answering our questions. We went into several churches and he allowed us time to reflect. Part of the tour, we had a Chocolate Tasting Tour, which was fun. In the mean time, he had gone and picked up the car, so we found him and then went to the Teleferico. What a view of the city! It was cold up there, but we had brought our coats. We then went to the Crater Inn and had a late lunch overlooking the crater. Absolutely beautiful and amazing food and service! We then went to the Mitad del Mundo museum. It was very informative and we enjoyed that part of the tour a lot. We did get out passports stamped, too. We were returned to our hotel after a great day. We enjoyed the tour and felt it was very worthwhile and fun.

Great tour if you only have 1 day in Quito
Diego was amazing. We booked the private tour option and Diego adjusted the schedule based on weather. His english was excellent and easy to understand. He informed us of the history and culture of Quito as we travelled along the entire trip. It was a full day and feel like we got a good taste of what Quito has to offer in the short time we were there.

Wonderful action packed day in Quito
Diego took us on a wonderful action packed day in Quito. We were only in Quito for 1 day, so it was a great private tour to encompass all the main sites in a short space of time. Itinerary was scheduled around the weather which worked well. Highlight was the Intiñan museum to learn more about the aboriginal culture and of course to appreciate being on the equitorial line!

          Amazing tour with Daniel
I did this tour with our excellent tour guide, Daniel. He picked us up in his car and we had easy access to all of the sites with quick transportation. The teleférico views were gorgeous! We also hiked to the swing. The middle of the world museum and all of its hands on activities was my favorite activity, it was so fun! The chocolate was tasting was delicious as well. I highly recommend this tour with Daniel!

Great birding tour and introduction to Ecuador
Mr. Dante crafted a custom itinerary for us geared towards Bird Watching and photography. He worked with me to come up with hotels we would love. We eventually stayed at Mindo at two of the best places, each with its unique charm. Mr.Dante came to pick us himself and was the sweetest person. The car was clean and well maintained. We saw hundreds of Birds and enjoyed the beautiful Andean scenery!! Our driver, Diego, was a great driver. He brought us safely back to Quito through dense fog. The birding guide (so sorry can't remember his name) was a really nice chap who made every attempt to show us the birds we wanted to see.

We had a wonderful half day trip which included a ride to the top of the Teleférico and horseback riding with Diego. He was an expert guide and made the experience fun. Diego shared so much knowledge of the area we traveled though including Quito. Please don’t hesitate to book your excursion with Latin Adventures! We had a really great experience.

          False advertisement
We booked a 2 day trip through this company to see Cotopaxi ans Quilotoa. We paid double to do 2 activities instead of 1 on the first day. The owner garenteed us on multiple occasions that it would not be an issue. We only did half the activities on day one. We asked for the a partial refund. Just the extra we paid for the second activity that we did not get to do. They were incredibly difficult and I had to get this resolved through my bank.

A great day with a great tour guide
Our tour Guide, Verit was spectacular! Just a well organized tour and such good hospitality. The stops were very educational and great photo moments. The tour was spectacular and absolutely worth every dollar. Everything went without a glitch. The hike in that crater was tough due to how slippery and steep that mud and pebble walkway is. Wear hiking shoes or get walking sticks, but know that even with those you will slip 😳. Either way a spectacular day IN Quilotoa!

          Great jam packed day
Diego was an excellent guide and managed to fit a number of stops into our day. He's extremely knowledgeable about the local culture and history. We got to see a local family makes clothing and bag articles from raw wool to the final product. The views of Lake Cuicocha were incredible. Communication with the agency was on point and our guide showed up at the hotel right when expected. Can't say enough good things about it.

          Awesome views and great guide
Was a fantastic experience. Diego did a great job educating us about both the geological formations and the societies that live around the mountains. The private tour was well worth it as the guide was able to tailor the day around what we wanted to see most. The views from Quilotoa are not to be missed!

Our tour guide, Ximena Andrade, was amazing. She explained all the sights in detail and took her time with answering our questions. She was educated on the countries history and offered tour suggestions that interested us. She was safe while accommodating our needs and wishes. She made our trip to Quito very enjoyable. Highly recommend Ximena.

Excellent tour! Our party of 10 arranged to have a private tour and our guide Miriam and driver Dante were fantastic hosts! I coordinated the trip directly with Dante, and they took such great care of us. The Middle of the World Museum is an absolute must -- a highlight we all really enjoyed. We even made a side stop at a local empanadas restaurant, which was fun and delicious. I highly recommend Latin Adventures. They were extremely professional and communicative before we arrived, were punctual and very knowledgeable while we were there. We had two days in Quito and took tours with them on both days. Our first day we took their Old Town Walking Tour, which was a great way to start our trip. They made our visit to Quito very memorable! Thank you Dante and Miriam!

They had me at beer and chocolate! The caldera and equator were just fluff! Honestly, it was a great tour, made all the better by our energetic young guide, Alex. Don’t get me wrong, the Pululahua caldera was very interesting (more so knowing the story behind it and the valley inhabitants), but the village at the equator was even better. Sure! It was a bit touristy, but hey, it’s a tourist attraction! Things were a bit expensive, but nothing crazy, and there was a chocolate museum and a brew pub! The monument was really fascinating; they did a very nice job laying out the equatorial facts including standing an egg on the tip of a nail…which we did! A great trip that I highly recommend. Very different from another trip we did to another equator site. I recommend both.

This is not the most cultural visit outside of Quito, but definitely worth it. The museum has interesting information to soak in, the stores well stocked with traditional goods, A good way to spend a couple hours.

We took the Mitad del Mundo + Pululahua half-day trip with Latin Adventures Tour Operator. We enjoyed our time at Intinan but once we got to the second complex (Mitad del Mundo), we felt rushed. The guide came with us (at Intinan, he drops you off to take the official tour with one of their guides) and quickly walked us along the main artery, into one museum, and then out again. We wanted to look around some of the other museums in the complex + some of the little shops, but we were rushed along -- even though we ended up coming back to the city half an hour before our alloted tour time was up. You should offer free time to explore at Mitad del Mundo since it is such a big complex.

I booked a private tour since my husband is handicapped. We were both quite excited as the majority of the reviews gave this tour 5 stars. It was supposed to start at 9:00 a.m. which was perfect since we had another tour scheduled for 5 p.m. I was contacted but the tour company once we reached Quito to say the time was changed to 2:00. I protested, and they agreed to 1:00. The driver/guide arrived early, and we left at 12:45. However, it is now 4:00, and I am already at my desk in the hotel writing this review, so it definitely didn’t last four hours! Although our driver/guide was knowledgeable and friendly, he constantly complained about traffic, how long it took to get places, and the fact that he would be going home in rush hour traffic. Sorry, but that’s not what I want to hear while I’m on vacation!!
We went to a lookout point over a canyon which was nothing special. i think it was the Pululahua Geobotanical Reserve, but I’m not sure!
After that, we went to the Mitad del Munro which was very touristy but fascinating! My husband and I had a private tour with Gabriel who was wonderful. Neither of us was able to make the egg stand on end or walk the equator line with our eyes shut, but we both tried! When the tour was over, I wanted to sit and relax a bit but our tour driver rushed us out. Remember, this was a private tour; no one was waiting for us.
Lastly, we parked and walked over to the Middle of the World Monument. We did not go in or even walk close to it. I was not impressed. It wasn’t until I got back to the hotel and looked up the tour that I realized we were supposed to go into the Ethnographic Museum but did not. We were not even given the option to do it. Had we known that was supposed to be on the tour, I would have insisted.
After that, our guide/driver whisked us home.
Although I recommend visiting the Mitad del Munro as it was quite fun, I don’t recommend taking this tour to do it. Find a different tour. I paid the higher fee for the private tour, and both my husband and I were extremely disappointed and didn’t feel we got our money’s worth.

Dear Customer As you agreed to be picked up at 13:00 so we did it. You requested us to before 17:00 because you must be there on time. Our guide was in a rush becuase he knew that he must be there on time. Mitad del Mundo complex: Once you have visited Inti Ñan Museum (where you have all the experiments and phenomena that you see there) we do not enter to the Complex, it is optional for the passengers. If clients ask us we will happy do that. You didn´t request us¡ We did a private tour as you requested and you paid through Viator. All the customers that have given us "5 starts reviews" have paid the same price and made the same activities. The guide told us that it took 3 hours beacuse what I have expalined. The traffic is bad in the rush hours so the guide was worried about to get on time to your meeting. Anyway, we must take into account your comment to improve our services. Regards
