About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Joan F0 contributionsAbsolutely PerfectThis trip was planned and executed impeccably. I had a lot of contact before we arrived choosing individualized hotels, meals and activities. I was still nervous before we went due to questions about security and any arrangements we would have to make on our own. Rebecca adventure travels went so far above and beyond! They met us at every airport and squired us through every transportation mode leaving nothing to chance for non-Spanish speaking gringos. Their staff was uniformly welcoming and wonderful. We went first to San Cristóbal and stayed at Casa Playa Mann, a terrific small hotel near the center of town. A major surprise was the gourmet quality of each restaurant we went to. Our guide, Karen, showed us blue footed boobies. Next we flew a short inter island flight to Puerto Ayora. Hotel Ikala had the biggest never ever saw and also a great location. Our guide Cesar took us to see turtles. He was a total hoot and so informative! Lastly we flew back to Quito and stayed at the upscale Go Hotel. Our guide Fernando was amazing and knew so much of Ecuadorian history and culture. We toured the historic center and churches. We couldn’t be happier than with this tour company and now plan on using their other services throughout Latin America.Written 13 November 2024
- B7761UFjacquelineh0 contributionsgalapagosThe experience was beyond amazing, difficult to describe by words . You have to experience the nature on these island and doing this with Rebeca Adventures made the trip even more excellent. We were spoiled to the max. An unbelievable vacation with our family, memories we will never ever forget.Written 6 November 2024
- marianapN986AK0 contributionsBest Galápagos ExperienceThe whole booking process was very straightforward and tailored to our needs and desires and all the staff was very nice. We had a worry-free vacation to the Galapagos, that was a good value for money when you consider how much everything costs in the Galápagos if you decide to arrange a "tour" on your own. Definitely recommend the company to anyone interested in visiting South America!Written 11 August 2024
- Georgeglas0 contributionsRebecca Travel is outstanding and organized a magical and memorable experience for usAn amazing trip and Rebecca did an outstanding job organizing everything for us. We picked Rebecca since it is a smaller company that hires local people. Before our trip, we were wondering if we should have bit the bullet and paid for a cruise. We are so happy that we did the land option instead. Why? 1. you have time on your own to stroll around the islands and discover on your own. 2. experience locally owned restaurants for dinner and lunch/snacks/drinks. 3. Meet a variety of different people since your itinerary is based on you as opposed to a large group. 4. Stay in locally owned accommodations Lodging: The three hotels we stayed in were clean, friendly, breakfast provided and provided purified drinking water. Casa de Nelly (San Cristobel) Hotel Coloma (Santa Cruz) Hotel San Vincent (Isabella) Hot water, good water pressure Body wash and shampoo provided Fridges in most rooms Clean beds/sheets Comfortable pillows Air conditioning Helpful and knowledgeable staff Each hotel was locally owned with a sense of pride, a nice change from large chain hotels. Tours: Kicker Rock Kayaking Paddle boarding Los Tuneles Mountain Biking Tortoise breeding centre Sierra Negro All tours were outstanding. Well organized, passionate and friendly guides. Family friendly. We can’t say enough about the tours Rebecca organized for us. Rebecca was very responsive to our questions. Each afternoon Carlos sent us a message via What’s App regarding the next day’s itinerary along with what to bring for the excursion. We met people who were in other tour groups and they did not receive the same experiences as we did on the tours organized through Rebecca. Examples to name a few: Isabela Island - Sierra Negro hike. Our guide provided hiking poles and purified water/lunch was provided after our hike. We were also taken to a local produce farm. After speaking to people who hiked with a different company, hiking poles and water was not provided, nor did they visit a farm to taste different fruits. Snorkelling Los Tuneles: Amazing guide and Captain - he videoed the snorkelling excursion so we could bring home memories of sea life - we met others who went to Los Tuneles and they did not get this added touch of the videos. Transportation: Rebecca organized our ferry rides between the islands thank goodness and someone representing Rebecca met us at each pier helping us to embark or disembark. They were really helpful and all knew our itinerary. We were so pleased with Rebecca Travel and would highly recommend this company to help organize your trip to the Galapagos.Written 9 August 2024

- Adventure2997950 contributionsUnforgettable Galapagos trip, even after 7 yearsEven after 7 years, our Galapagos trip with Rebecca Adventure Travel in September 2017 stands out as truly a bucket list experience. What made it special? Let me tell you: 1/ Personal touch: Rebecca herself handled our last-minute booking (under a week's notice!), showing real dedication for her clients. 2/ Quick responses: The team's speedy communication during planning was so reassuring. 3/ Dietary needs covered: My wife is a vegetarian and I eat everything. I was impressed with the delicious meal options for both of us throughout the trip. 4/ Clear planning: Before we left, we knew exactly what to expect thanks to their thorough explanations. Rebecca and her team worked magic to create an unforgettable adventure on such short notice. From unique wildlife encounters to stunning landscapes, every day was amazing. If Galapagos is on your bucket list, don't hesitate to contact Rebecca Adventure Travel. Their expertise and attention to detail, even with last-minute requests, made our trip stress-free and absolutely wonderful.Written 5 July 2024
- charlottegP4471JS0 contributionsA Lifetime AdventureAfter countless hours of research I can say that the Samba is the absolute best way of doing the Galapagos if you want an active trip. After copious research and pouring through every ship in the area, we decided on the Samba due to its unique NW ternary which included Marchena island. The NW circuit covers a greater number of islands (more diversity of landings) than any other ship in the galapos in 8D. I appreciated the advice of other posters and agree that 8D7N is the perfect length, allowing you to go to the further islands (4D too short) but seeing just enough that you are never bored (I think 15D would have been much too long). I was on the fence between which side of the islands to do but I could not have been happier with our 8D on the NW circuit. No tour of the Galapagos is cheap, but the Samba was by far the best value of any ship. This is due to the unique itinerary and just how packed full of activity each and every day is. We snorkeled and hiked multiple times a day. Often two hikes and two snorkels on any given day. Days started at 6am and ended at 6pm. We saw everything: countless turtles, mola mola, manta rays, sharks, sea lions, orcas and blue whales. The crew went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience even if it was out of their way. Sometimes this meant hopping in the zodiacs or turning the ship around for whales that were off route, or adding snorkel sites so we could get in the water with mola mola or manta rays. Marchena which is very out of the way is only included in this internally and was one of our favorite spots as you have a basically private lagoon of sea lions. The snorkeling on the NW side was top notch, I was on the fence about doing a diving live aboard but this was probably the next best thing and the closest experience to a diving live aboard but a better option for people who do not dive or do not want to only dive for 8D. The crew were so friendly and never cut corners even during a storm or down a staff member. The captain was extremely experienced, I do NOT like staying on a boat generally but his 30+ years experience put me at ease even during the crossings. The ship is older but beautiful. The single only knock on any part of it is if you are 6 ft+ the cabins may be little tight. I was comfortable but I can see if you are very very tall it would be a bit tight. The food was amazing and plentiful, every meal had multiple parts and we never went hungry. Every step was amazing, our guide Harry was fantastic, and every member of the crew was fantastic. We loved our time with the Samba and if we ever come back to the Galapagos we will use the same boat without a doubt. We booked through CNH (they were lovely) through the cruise only option b/c they were running a promotion but you could also book with the Samba directly through Facebook. If you want a relaxed vacation this may not be the ship for you, however if you want to see the most wildlife possible this ship is the best bang for your buck and an amazing experience. The Samba was the adventure of a lifetime and I could not recommend it more throughouhly. 10/10.Written 2 July 2024
- jenniferlI5005WG0 contributionsTour of a lifetimeWe did the 4 day Amazon tour at Itamandi Lodge. It was nothing short of amazing. It was our favourite part of our Ecuador trip. Our tour guide Octavio was knowledgeable, funny, and friendly - he encouraged us to try new things (tubing in the River, trying local foods) which we may not have otherwise done but were totally worth it. We loved meeting and dining with the Amazonian people and learning about their ways of life and customs. The Lodge is in the forest, by the river, and you fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the forest, including monkeys, birds, and boats going by. It was clean, comfortable, and the food was amazing! Rebecca Tours (Sonia) were patient, reliable, and communicative, and helped us select the best tour for us. The cost was worth every penny - a steal, in our opinion! Thanks Rebecca Adventure Tours!Written 13 June 2024
- J5298TTpaulinag0 contributionsOur Ecuadorian dream came true! Our trip was a tailored combination of Quito, the Amazon rainforest and the Galapagos island hopping. The team of the Rebecca Adventure Travel did a great job in planning our trip, accomodating all our wishes, and supporting us on site in Ecuador. Thanks to them and their contacts with local providers and guides, we could visit Quito with the super nice guide Guillermo, spend a few days as guests of the very friendly Kichwa community of the Napo Cultural Centre (and the great naturalist guides Sergio and Chayan), and finally use to the maximum every minute of our trip to the Galapagos islands. On every step of the planning, we could count on the responsiveness of Juan Carlos and his colleagues. Then, when already in Ecuador, we could contact the Rebecca team at any moment and we got regular updates from them. We felt absolutely secure and well taken care of all the time! Everything worked perfectly well and according to the plan. The highlights of our trip were the Amazon rainforest and the Anangu community in the Napo Cultural Centre, and the Galapagos islands hopping. We met people who lived in harmony with nature and who respected it and were very proud of their home. In the jungle, we saw more animals than we could dream of: tucans, macaws, monkeys, parrots, sloths, leaf-cutter ants and more. In the Galapagos islands, we walked among tortoises, iguanas, lizards and sea lions, we swam and snorkeled with turtles, pinguins, rays, sharks and plenty of colourful fish, and we admired frigatebirds, warblers, blue-footed and Nazca boobies, pelicans, tropicbirds and more. It was all amazing and exceeded our expectations. From the practicalities, we liked that all day trips were arranged with certified local operators, the hotels were often family-run businesses, and that everything was safe, started on time and went according to plan. We also liked that although the days were intense, we had some nice rest time too and we could explore e.g. Puerto Villamil on our own. We highly recommend the Rebecca Adventure Travel!Written 26 April 2024
- Travelflie0 contributionsFANTASTICThis was one the most amazing experiences we have ever had! Every single person working on that boat was great. They all went out of their way to make sure we all had a fantastic time. The food was great and the cabins comfortable. Our guide Jimmy went out of his way to make sure we saw the amazing wildlife The Galapagos Islands have to offer, both on land and in the water. Everything was superb, and I highly recommend the Samba to anyone wondering about what cruise to go on! It is a smaller ship (14 passengers), which makes the whole experience more personally, which we really loved. Our only complaint is that the AC in the dining room area needs to be updated (it got extremely hot and uncomfortable in the dining room area at mealtime), putting in a fan would also help a lot.Written 6 April 2024

- Wanderer199003672710 contributionsGood value Galapagos TripRebecca's Adventure Travel turned out to be an excellent choice for our trip to the Galapagos Islands. The Islands are enchanting and should be on your bucket list. With just one exception, the guides Rebecca's lined up for us were highly informative and entertaining. The hotels were all good or great, and the people who helped us were warm and helpful. (The only thing we wouldn't repeat was the speedboat trips between islands - those were brutal!)Written 30 January 2024

We went on a fantastic journey through Ecuador including one week on the Galapagos Islands. We arranged the trip via Rebecca Adventure Travel. Their advice was very helpful to setup a varied programme with many things to visit and experience and also build in a few relaxing days. We visited Quito, Cotopaxi, Quilotoa Crater Lake, the jungle, the Galapagos Islands and ended in Guayaquil. We loved Ecuador, the people, the history, the variety, and we thank Rebecca Adventure travel for organizing our holiday!

Rebecca Adventure Travel have been amazing from start to finish. When we first got in contact to organise our honeymoon they were responsive and flexible. They listened to our requests and helped us plan our dream holiday. All of the hotels they recommended were brilliant - comfortable and clean. The group trips were of a really high quality and the food was exceptional. Our private guides were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about Ecuador from the culture and history to the flora and fauna. They were also great fun! A special thanks to the guides Angel and Cesar who both went above and beyond during our trip. Rebecca Adventure Travel were on-hand 24/7 during our travels and we always felt very safe. They also helped us out massively when we realised we needed to transport our suitcase separately in the Galapagos - they saved us from what could have been a very stressful experience! It really was the holiday of a lifetime and when friends ask what our favourite part was we are genuinely completely stuck for an answer as every day was brilliant. I hope Rebecca Adventure Travel branch out into other South American countries - we would definitely use them again!
