DAY 1: Arrival in Quito, Hump Day Hostel accommodation in double room with private bathroom.
DAY 2: After your early flight from Quito to Galapagos (Baltra Airport) our transportation will take you to Puerto Ayora. In addition to getting settled in your hotel, this afternoon is free for you to visit the Charles Darwin Station (free), where you can get plenty information about the Islands. Before dinner our dive master will meet you in the Hotel to organize everything related to your next two days of diving.
DAY 3: After breakfast our guide will take you to one of the following islands: Mosquera Islet, Santa Fe, Bartolome, Floreana, Gordon Rocks, Cousin Rock, North Seymour (depending dep. date). The maximum depth for this dive site is 30m and currents are generally mild. This site is famous for the sea lions that come and play during the dive. Sharks, turtles, rays, barracudas and tropical fish are also common in this area.
DAY 4: Another day diving in a different island such as Bartolome, Cousins,Floreana... (depending the departure dates) offers fascinating underwater landscapes, complete with terraced steps that descend to 30 meters before dropping down to a sandy bottom at 40 meters. The overhangs from some of the steps are the favorite places of the White Tipped reef sharks, green sea turtles, large moray eels, as well as octopi. Manta rays, hammerheads, schools of barracudas, other reef fish can also be seen at these sites and off into the blue.
DAY 5: This day will offer some morning free time where it is recommended to spend time in Tortuga Bay. This luxurious white sand beach is a great place to see marine iguanas and have the opportunity to go kayaking along the coast. Many travelers spot Tintoreras sharks while exploring here. In the afternoon, your transportation will pick you up from the hotel in Puerto Ayora at 12:30, and after lunch you will take a speed boat to Isabel, where you will visit the Flamingo Lagoon and spend the night relaxing.
DAY 6: After an early breakfast, we’ll take an exciting excursion to the Sierra Negra volcano. We travel in a bus or similar vehicle for 45 minutes to the Galapagos National Park where we will register our visit and begin our hike to the Sierra Negra Volcano. We’ll then proceed to the Volcan Chico where you can feel the warmth of the ground as proof of the volcano’s activity.
Here we’ll stop for a box lunch before returning to the hotel. After a brief rest, we’ll have the chance to go snorkeling or swimming at Concha Perla where we can observe the colourful fish, sea urchins, starfish, sea lions, or even sea turtles. Hotel Accommodation provided.
DAY 7: An early morning speedboat will take us back to Puerto Ayora, and after breakfast you will head to the airport to catch your flight to go back to Quito.
