About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 335kathh0 contributionsFun day tripFun trip, very interesting seeing all the carving in the rock. Only downside was our guide seemed to spend more time explaining the site in Spanish, so we seemed to miss out on some information. The walk through the rock canyon was cool but note if you have and difficulty climbing over rocks and up a steep hill at the end this may not be the tour for you. As it seems everywhere in Peru there is an extra charge on top of what you pay for the tour to enter these sites. Overall fun trip.Written 11 February 2025
- nicholasg9750 contributionsAmazing guides, rushed tourThe guide was good and the host who organised it was super helpful when my partner lost his phone and then got us to the first point of the trip as we had to wait to find it. However, as for the trip itself, like many of the tours, it is rushed. You don't really get a chance to absorb what you're seeing as it's on the bus then off. There should definitely be more time in the canyon.Written 27 January 2025
- klspenst0 contributionsA great 4 hours of history and off the beaten track of the same old thing.Solid 4 hours with enough time at each location to learn and enjoy. It’s a dusty journey at the quarries - bring water, good walking shoes as it’s slippery on the sand and stones, and your camera! If you love rocks and history - this is a great value!Written 23 October 2024
- 907amald0 contributionsSillar Route half day tourWe enjoyed our half day tour with Christina. She managed the group well and never forgot to give us the information in English although we were the only two people on the tour that didn't speak Spanish. Overall a good tour if you have already done everything else in Arequipa and are looking for something else to do.Written 16 October 2024
- rmqr0 contributionsNice walk in a canyon, less interested in contemporary sculpturesNice geological formations in a canyon of volcanic stone. However mind the mosquitoes and the walk is quite short. This tour will not include much ancient civilization history, and focuses rather on modern art sculptures made out of volcanic rocks.Written 10 September 2024
- 36bryced0 contributionsDecent Half Day AdventureTour is exactly how it’s advertised! Very easy to get around and tour guides were nice. Nice trip if you only want to do a half day excursion.Written 8 September 2024
- vavalos200 contributionsRuta TourTruly enjoyed this tour! It was nice that it was a 9am-2pm tour, not too early or late and not too long. At the end, they also give us the option to drop off at some local Peruvian food spots which was nice! The only complaint was the tour guide Cristina’s approach. She was a little pushy, a little rude and stand off is, passive aggressive. She kept almost scolding the group saying we weren’t listening and upset if we didn’t remember a specific fact when she did a pop quiz on us. She kept complaining about us to the driver saying kids were easier to deal with. At one point she even said under her breath, thanks for finally being obedient. She also appeared bothered when a couple would ask if they could take pictures at some spots. She mentioned at the beginning we’d have a stop for the bathroom/snack/etc. but we never stopped. Then we get to our first stop and she got upset that people had to use the restroom. She started to murmur under her breath and rushing us that we needed to start walking. The tour itself is so so nice!! Maybe just a different tour guide or Cristina works on her approach a little more.Written 15 June 2024
- franciscosF9028IE0 contributionsVery nice experience!Jack was an outstanding guide! He was patient with us as we got used to the bikes and the terrain. He planned for a possible puncture (which occurred) and had a replacement bike ready. He was flexible with our itinerary and took us to Salinas for a reasonable extra charge. The ride was enjoyable on a well-maintained dirt road with very little vehicular traffic. The scenery was pretty.Written 1 May 2024
- mawiee0030 contributionsFun day4 out of 5 good short trip canyon walking was my favorite part need to be some what's physically fit as terrain is uneven and walking up hill to exit. You have to pay 3 soles extra for certain areas and they have little table with things for sale. Sunglasses and hat a mustWritten 12 January 2024
- Scenic5468340 contributionsPaid but didn’t get to go.Signed up for tour on Thursday afternoon, didn’t hear anything from tour people until Sat afternoon. In the meantime I figured something had gone wrong with my request as there had been some wifi troubles. I didn’t hear anything till Sunday am because Sat I was on another tour, no internet. I informed the woman that I had made other plans and wanted a refund. She told me I could only get a refund through the TA website knowing by then it was too late. So no not recommending this.Written 14 December 2023

I have been outside since 2:50am and they never showed up. They claimed that I didn’t confirm. I reached out to them at 3am asking if they were in their way and they said they wouldn’t be getting me. - lukenluk_12_0 contributionsNo English speaking guide. They payed no attention on us who doesn't speak Spanish ...The tour was ok, but we booked a English speaking tour for getting more from the history bus Jose, the guide we got, does not speak English at all. He wasn't able to understand our questions. He didn't make any efforts to put us in the group or give us the next meeting times... Bad guide and bad experience!Written 24 August 2022
