This visit combines a walking tour through the historic center of Arequipa, learning about its history, some of its most important tourist places, and combining it at the end with the tasting and explanation of our national distillate, Pisco. We also tasted some local fruits and our emblematic dessert, Frozen Cheese. A different way to get to know Arequipa in Spanish and English (in French it is also possible but with prior coordination)

This is a great tour. José treats his guests to a wonderful walk through the city, highlighting the cultural aspects of Arequipa and providing them with lots of information on the historical and modern elements of his hometown, which he knows well and clearly loves. We wandered past and through historic buildings, tasted local beverages, ice cream, and fruits, spent time in the city market (perhaps my favorite stop along the way, and he didn't rush us through), and concluded with an elegant late afternoon pisco tasting in a gorgeous old courtyard. He's fairly new to this and is charging a price I told him was too low for what he offers. I walked away with a great appreciation for Arequipa, and sorry I had to leave that night since he introduced us to places I wish I had visited further. Book this on your first day if you can.

I was the only participant, so it was basically a private tour 😎. I had a lot of fun with José and can only recommend the tour overall, both the walk and the Pisco portion.
The free tours are sometimes quite full, so I can only recommend the small Ivest.

I don't normally write reviews but this one fully deserved it. I was recommended this tour as a 'must do' by a friend and it did not disappoint.

Jose was so knowledgable and really takes you on a complete tour of Arequipa, including the city, history, culture, gastronomy, and more. Jose's storytelling is captivating and he had answers to any question I threw at him. All capped off by the pisco tasting. It's incredible value for money - couldn't recommend it more.

If you are like me, and love to try new foods in other countries, but feel a bit intimidated because you don't know what you are doing...then this tour is for you. Jose makes it fun and interesting to experience local flavors and points out details that you would never notice. He is very proud of Arequipa and it shows. This tour is an incredible value considering the time and variety of things that you get to sample. I highly recommend.

Our tour guide today (forgive us we have forgotten his name) was amazing, so informative and thorough. He told us many very interesting facts about the history and culture of Arequipa and also made good conversation with us while walking between stops. We enjoyed the different places we visited as they all were very interesting and different, we especially loved the market, Pisco tasting and mundo alpaca where we got to feed the different animals and learn about their wool. Our guide answered all the questions we had and it was amazing value for money, we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone, thanks again so much.

Very, very, very good. We usually do the open top bus in a new city to get a feel for it. But this walking tour was better. We discovered a lot more than we had done the day before - buildings, background, suggestions for things to do later. The pace was good. The tastings were excellent and you get a choice of fruits (many don't exist in other countries and they taste great)

I can't praise our guide, José, enough. He answered everyone's questions, had interesting photos and diagrams and treated everybody really well.

Here's some of the things that I liked:
Access to a free rooftop which we went back to later to watch sunset
Access to the inside of buildings
Detail about buildings that you wouldn't have even noticed on your own (e.g. The blue and white symbol on many buildings, initials and objects hidden in the designs)
Why the buildings are made of white stone
How the buildings survive earthquakes
Free museums, viewing platform to visit later
Visits to places where the locals were eating great food at low prices
Petting an alpaca

The tour guide Jose did a great job and showed us many beautiful and interesting places in Arequipa. Especially if you do not bring too much time for your trip to Arequipa, this is a very good option to see many places in a relative short time. The price is more than reasonable and José is really passionate to explain you the local culture. The Pisco tasting in the end is also a highlight!

The attention to detail is worthy of congratulations.
The contact we had with each of the people in this city was admirable and the person in charge of giving us this City Tour in Blanca Arequipa is highly trained, a person who knows the topics in depth, and with the dynamics that manage the Pisco tasting. , in a Plus.

It was a very informative tour and our guide Daniel was great. Good value for money since you get to taste some local foods and also two different piscos, and there are no hidden costs. The tour took us to a lot of places around the Centro Histórico and we learned quite a bit about the history of Arequipa. Would recommend!

Our tour guide was Jose. He was kind and informative. We ended up having a private tour. Would recommend this tour as it gives you the opportunity to see and try a lot of things you wouldn't normally do on your own! Be prepared for a lot of walking, but definitely worth it! We enjoyed our tour!
