Breathtaking experience
Amazing experience and amazing tour guide! Sitting at 5,200 meters (17,061 ft) above sea level, breathing was difficult and my lungs felt like raisins. The thing that kept me going was the beautiful view awaiting at the top! And the cute alpacas were a nice surprise too. Highly recommended this tour ✨

Fun day trip
Jul 2021
We were not able to hike up to Huayna Picchu because of COVID restrictions so elected to head back to Cusco and hike to Rainbow Mountain. It is a short hike but the elevation will make you feel like you're out of shape. We went with Rainbow Mountain Cusco. They picked us up at our hotel at about 4AM and fed us and did a good job getting us there and back. The mountain is pretty and we are glad we did this.

Unforgettable Adventure life Experience

The tour guide was great. The driver was great. The food was good. I would recommend this tour if you want a day to remember, great photos and a story to tell. Price is too low really. Tip your guide and your horse workers if you get a horse.

Interesting ride from Cusco to Rainbow Mountain across all kinds of terrain. Pay attention to your breathing. One of the gals in my group fainted but was fine after giving her some oxygen that a guide had. A lot more crowded than I expected. Other than that, an amazing experience.

The most memorable hike of my life
Oct 2019
This is not a difficult hike when started from a new location accessible only by tour buses and private cars - it is gradual and in the worst case you can always hire a horse. The very last 1/4 of a mile is more difficult - much steeper and less oxygen. But his hike is worth all the effort - amazing scenery and Quechua people making on the most unusual and memorable hikes. By the way, the colors change depending on the sunlight and amount of rain.

Dear : hheifets That is correct, on our private tours, when the road is on good conditions, we hike to the rainbow mountain thru a new route that only has 35 minutes of hike, then is much more enjoyable because you save energies for all your pictures. Hope you are ok and the best wishes. Your Team from "Rainbow Mountain Cusco" & "Andina Expeditions" The Original Local tour operators to the rainbow Mountain since 2014.

Great trek with beautiful views!
Mar 2020
My friends and I decided on renting horses only to go up the mountain, which was a good idea in my opinion, it saved us some time and energy to push through the last part of the hike, which is also the steepest part. We made it to the top and took some wonderful pics! Our guides were with us every step of the way and had oxygen and other medicinals to help anyone who may have not been feeling well during the hike. Overall, it was a great experience!

Dear :Kayla W Thanks so much for sharing your experience, That is true, the last part of the hike up to the rainbow mountain is quite hard, is good that you decided to take a horse, then you can enjoy the views with all your energy. Hope you will come back some day. Your Team from "Rainbow Mountain Cusco" & "Andina Expeditions" The Original Local tour operators to the rainbow Mountain since 2014.

Fantastic experience
Absolutely loved this trip to Rainbow mountain although it was covered in snow and snowing on the day. It just added to the adventure! It was an awesome day out and challenging climb due to the very high altitude. But worth every minute. The guide was great and we stopped for a good breakfast on the route to the mountain and lunch on the way back to Cusco.

Dear :Lesley B We always check the forecast for our trips, but on the andes the weather is wild and changes sometimes every 2 hours, specially on the rainy season, even of that our guides are always ready to provide a great experience, even if the weather is not on our side. Sometimes the snow (small amount) gives to the rainbow mountain an extra color and looks just incredible. Thanks for enjoy the experience to the rainbow mountain Your Team from "Rainbow Mountain Cusco" & "Andina Expeditions" The Original Local tour operators to the rainbow Mountain since 2014.
