    What to Expect
    Take a 3-hour hike through the painted hills of Rainbow Mountain. Experience the beautiful landscape of the Andes. Marvel at views of snow-capped mountain peaks, interact with the native mountain people, look for local wildlife and more.
    • 4:00 am. Pick up from your hotel and departure from Cusco to Quesiuno Town,  average 3-hour trip.
    • 7:20 am Breakfast (Quesiuno Town)
    • After breakfast we continue the journey to the starting point 20 minutes away.
    • 8:20 am Start the walk.
    • On the way you will enjoy landscapes full of flora and fauna.
    • Duration between 3 to 4 hours average to arrive at the "Rainbow Mountain".
    • 10:45 am We will arrive to the “Rainbow Mountain”.
    • 11:20 am Downhill to the starting point.
    • 13:45 pm Lunch in Quesiuno town.
    • 15:00 pm Van from Quesiuno to Cusco City.
    • 18:00  pm Arrive to Cusco city.

    Elevation was a challenge! Hike was beautiful. Would recommend checking weather prior to booking (obviously this can change on a dime) -- we had rain/hail and couldn't see much of Rainbow Mountain at all due to clouds. Still had a great time though!

    Get the horse ride for those with altitude sickness/low stamina - save some energy for the hike. The horse ride only gets you to the bottom of the hill (easy trail walk for around 1 hour), you will then need to hike for another 30-45min...More

    Hi yes, I booked through AB expeditions and the guide carried the oxygen with him but we didn’t need to use it thankfully!
