Would Go Back in a Heartbeat!
Sep 2021
This was my first time out of the country and I am so glad that I chose FlashPacker Connect. They were so well prepared and everything ran extremely smooth. All of the staff that we interacted with was extremely knowledgeable. We had Alberto, Joaquin and Baker as our tour guides. Everyone was so helpful in making sure we were feeling well, seeing the sites that we wanted to see, and helping us navigate in a foreign country.

The hotels and vans were great and the trip is 100% worth it. It is an experience I will never forget and it is all thanks to FlashPacker Connect. I am excited to look at other possible adventures that I can take with this company. All of our tour guides deserve a raise for how awesome they were. Special shoutout to Joaquin for putting up with my group two days straight!

Absolutely wondferul trip to Peru!
Jul 2021
My friend and I had an absolutely wonderful time in Peru and on the 4 day bucketlist cusco trip. We had a couple of different tour guides and the same driver throughout the 4 days and they were all amazing! We chose flashpacker on a whim and they did not disappoint at all! From the start of our planning until we boarded the plane to Peru was just 5 days and they were able to smoothly accomodate our last second planning. They also worked with us to arrange our itinerary so that we could meet other travelers and make space to get covid tested so that we would have no problems on the return home. The sights themselves were breathtaking and everything we wished for. All in all I would highly recommend flashpacker connect to anyone looking to travel in Peru and see the sights around Cusco!

Amazing Guides and Truly a bucket list trip
May 2021
Joaquin is an extremely friendly and knowledgeable guide. We had him as our guide for 2 days on the sacred valley tour along with the tour of Macchu Picchu. His mastery of the English language was apparent throughout the 2 day tour along with his great sense of humor and great laugh. We learned so much culture and history of the area from Joaquin. The driver Luccio took very good care of us while getting us to each of the 7 destinations safety and quickly.

We could not ask for a better guide than Jacob during the hike to Lake Humantay. Jacob is excellent at English and knows all about the Inca Empire and Lake Humantay area. He also had a great sense of humor. He paced us just right as he assesses your ability to adjust to the altitude and rests numerous times on the 1.5 hour hike up. The driver Mario was great too as the 3.5 hour ride each way had some hairpin turns very high up with no guard rails. The other Mario who cooked for us made two amazing gourmet meals. We were some of the first people up to the lake as the company gets an early start. They also borrow someone’s house at the parking area to host your 2 meals. It is quite an intimate setting for the meals.

Noe was an amazing guide for Rainbow mountain. His command of the English language was apparent throughout the day as I think his vocabulary is bigger than mine :>) Noe was very good about taking enough breaks and assessing me to make sure I was good to go during this hike up to 16k’. Additionally he was a great photographer and barista at the top of Rainbow mountain. Lastly, he gave great advice on how to treat altitude sickness.

Flashpacker overall took amazing care of us during our four day trip. They went above and beyond as I had altitude sickness after one of the hikes. The owner (Abel) immediately called and checked on me at my hotel to make sure I did not need a dr. All guides provide amazing service, the cooks excellent food and the drivers are safe yet efficient. We cannot say enough good things about the guides, drivers and cooks for this company. They definitely made this a bucket list trip that we will not forget.

Unforgettable vacation
My husband, 10 year old, 8 year old, and I signed up for the bucket list tour. Unfortunately our trip was cut short because of the Coronavirus lockdown, but we completed the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu portion. Luckily Flashpacker is refunding the incomplete portions. The two trips were fantastic mostly because of our guide Alberto. He was so knowledgeable on the history, the cultures, and the locations themselves.
We left the hotel at 7am for the Sacred Valley. We picked up 3 more women to join our tour. Our van was plush, spacious, and had ac. We started in a little cultural center in Chinchero to see guinea pigs, llamas, potato varieties, as well as women showed us their art of creating textiles with the option for purchasing, bring cash. We then headed down a very short distance to a Inca site to learn about the engineering craft of the Incas. There was about a 10 minute hike upstairs with the rest flat or downhill. We then visited the salt mines in Maras for an additional fee; bring cash. We were asked if we wanted to visit based on the fact there was an additional fee. Then on to Moray. Bring your own TP to Moray if you need to use the bathroom. After Moray we took the very bumpy and windy van ride to Ollantaytambo. We ate a quick, late lunch in the town square and then a short van ride to the Inca site. After a hike up and down the stairs with a history lesson in between we headed for our train to Aguas Calientes. Alberto handed over our tickets and told us he’d meet us in the morning at our hotels. The train ride was a beautiful hour and half with a complementary drink and brownie. There are bathrooms on the train. Upon arrival in AC at 5pm, we took a short stroll to our hotel. Everything is in short walking distance.
We were picked up at our hotel at 5:50am. We walked to the bus to head up to the Machu Picchu gates. No eating/drinking on the bus or in Machu Picchu so plan your breakfast/coffee in advance. It’s about a half hour ride. Also bathrooms at the gate are 2 sols pp and are the only bathrooms; bring cash. We hiked up stairs for about 10 minutes and then everything was mostly downhill. We were rained on. We got sunburned. We were chilly. And we were hot. So bring layers, a rain jacket, hat, and sunscreen and you won’t notice the weather. Alberto has a vast amount of info to share so pepper him with questions. He was super patient with everyone and spoke directly to my kids. Plus he knew all the great places for photos. He let us loose about 10:30 with our bus tickets. We wandered with MP for about an hour and caught the 11:30 bus back to town. We had to meet Alberto at our hotel at 2:30 to catch the train back to Ollantaytambo. Hotels will keep your bag while you are in MP. This train did not have a complementary drink/snack so bring cash if you want to purchase. After the train ride, we were met at the train station by our van driver who didn’t speak much English. He drove us back to our hotel in Cusco arriving at 6:20. This van ride was less rough and was a bigger, less plush, yet still comfortable van.
That night Abel from Flashpacker in Peru texted me to ensure we’d heard the President’s message and informed me that we would not have the remaining portion of the tour.
Thanks to Flashpacker for a great start to our adventure in Peru.

It was awesome!
Dec 2019 • Couples
It’s luck of the draw when it comes to weather this time of the year but we got lucky with the weather and our guides. Despite the grueling hikes we saw everything and had a great time. We wake up earlier then anyone else but get to the activity before anyone else. We had a few different guides as our trip was 4 days long. Jacob took us on sacred tour and Macchu Picchu and was great! Very knowledgeable about the history and culture and even helped set us up with a dinner reservation. Giovanny took us to humanatay lake and was very flexible to ensure our experience would be great before potential bad weather could put a damper on things. He also took great photos! We had Joaquin for rainbow mountain and he was also a great guy. He set us up with horses and made sure to take great photos and get us everywhere on a timely manner before the hordes of people came in. Also bonus shout out to our driver Mario who drove through fog and cliffs while keeping us safe.

A Trek of a Lifetime: Amazing View and fantastic experience
Dec 2019
If you are into seeing mother nature’s beauty that only few in the world has ever seen, this is the trek for you. This was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever participated in. We got to see the Ausangate glacier, the Rainbow Mountain, Red Valley and 10,000+ alpacas. We learned about the authentic Peruvian culture and lived like a Peruvian mountaineer. This is a trek that I highly recommend.

Mijail, our tour guide, did an outstanding job setting the expectations of the trek, giving us an accurate expectation for the entire experience. As the trek started, Mijail and his star team (Cristobal and Mariano- head chef and chef assistant, Tomás, Mario and John- horseman) did an amazing job cooking delicious food for us, cleaning up for us, and was ready to help us at every corner to get us acclimated to the trek. They were some of the most hard-working individuals, genuine and the warmest people I have ever met.

Besides the amazing team, you will have the opportunity to witness views only few in the world have seen. Mijail did an amazing job introducing to us what the land means to the people. You get to see the Ausangate Glacier, the Red Valley and many other jaw-dropping locations. Do not worry you will be in good hands.

In all, I left this trek a better man than I was before it. Getting a chance to feel and breathe the life that the Peruvians live brings new meanings to my life. I was able to understand the simplicity of life and cherish the opportunities i have had. Thank you to Flashpacker, Mijail and his team for this life changing experience.

Experience of a Lifetime!
Dec 2019 • Couples
My husband and I just got home from completing the 4 day Flashpacker Cusco tour! We did Machu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain, the Cusco city tour and Sacred Valley. We were fortunate to get two of their very best guides, Jacob and David. Both were excellent subject matter experts and presented their information with passion, enthusiasm and a true love of their country. The views from each landmark were absolutely breathtaking. We couldn’t take enough pictures to capture each amazing moment! We were fortunate to get great weather throughout the four days! I joked to David and Jacob that we must have brought the California sunshine with us!

Honestly, We feel extremely lucky to have found Flashpacker. Everything we experienced was top notch! They treated us so well! All of their planning and coordination went off without a hitch! Each member of the Flashpacker team exceeded our expectations!! We can’t say enough great things about this company! Special thanks goes to LeAnn! This company pays so much attention to detail! We felt very special!

I also wanted to mention how Jacob and David were great in imparting their vast knowledge of the history, the people, the land, the culture and the food in easy and manageable sound bites. Both of them speak multiple languages and I was amazed at their excellent English! They both made us feel welcomed and comfortable from beginning to end!

We left Cusco with many wonderful memories, thousands of pictures and a greater understanding of the rich Peruvian history. My husband and I highly recommend Flashpacker if you are planning a trip to Peru! They are excellent! This was a trip of a lifetime!

Lifetime experience with stunning views and excellent services
Dec 2019 • Friends
I booked this trip with my friend hoping to have a memorable experience. The Flashpacker Connect made this wish come true. We spent 4 days in the mountains in total, and there were 4 staff there along the way to help us: our guide Gio, cooker Aurelio, horseman Rawu, and driver Julio - although there were only two of us! (It was due to the rain season so nobody else booked the trip with us.) They took good care of us along the way and made sure that we feel comfortable at each camp site. For all the requests we asked (due to our physical limitations), they tried their best to fulfill us. I would say that we will not complete this trip without them. The entire trip organization was also very clear and detailed. We were given very specific instructions everyday depending on the weather and our stamina. Of course the views along the way were incredible and we felt fortunate enough to me one of the people who witness such beautiful sceneries on earth. Thanks to Flashpacker who made this trip so memorable. We will definitely take other trips with Flashpacker in the future, and will definitely recommend it to our friends. Gracias!

Awe-inspiring 4 day trek in the Ausangate + rainbow mountains
Dec 2019 • Friends
My friend and I enjoyed this trip organized by Flashpacker greatly. The views were spectacular as shown by the pictures below, but more importantly we were impressed with the team consisted of the guide Giovanni, the cook Aurelio, the horseman Rawu, and the driver Julio. They are incredibly professional and thoughtful, and took their job to heart. When we experienced altitude sickness they took measures to make sure that we feel okay while could still enjoy the trip as much as we can. The flashpacker campsites are located in secluded and beautiful areas. This is one of those trips that we will remember for a lifetime.
