Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu!!
A wonderful tour to Machu Picchu! We had the pleasure of being led by Vidal, who is the owner of this company. He is an excellent guide and friend who helped us organise all the details for our tour. We decided on the Inca Jungle Trail because this was a combination of different activities such as mountain biking, water rafting, hiking, and zip-lining. Vidal Expeditions did a great job providing us with what they had offered us. Pick up from the hotel on the first day; transportation, bike, and equipment were provided in good condition; raf and zip were very safe with professional instructors; our accommodations were always private and with a bathroom; food along the tour was varied and with local ingredients. All included services were provided during this tour: tickets, a guide, transportation, extra activities, and a train ticket. It was more than what I expected. Honestly, Vidal Expeditions offered great service during this four-day trip. Highly recommended!!

          Super fun day of climbing!!
Had a great day of top rope climbing with Urbano, who was professional and experienced. Both safety and vibes were strong! I was new to outdoor rock climbing so the explanations and routes were tailored appropriately with this in mind. We wrapped up at the crag slightly early so checked out a cave nearby. Would definitely recommend going with Urbano if you’re wanting to get outdoors around Cusco.

Knowledgeable and skilled local climbers to adventure with!
I had the best time! I sport climb in Washington and wanted to try climbing in Peru, the elevation was killer! But you’re in good hands with skilled and knowledgeable local climbers that know their stuff!

Machu Picchu through the Inca Jungle
The Inca Jungle Trail to Machu Picchu was one of my favorite tours in Cusco. From the beginning to the end, it was well organized, especially the guide, Urbano, making this an experience of a lifetime.  We took the full package, which includes the extra activities rafting and ziplining; these were very fun.  We did biking from the high altitude to the lush forest, where the landscapes changed drastically from dry and cold mountains to want and rainforest.  Rafting was great even for me, who doesn't know how to swim, but the guides were very professional.  Hiking for several hours in the forest was also great; it was not a very demanding hike due to the many stops on the way.  Zipline and Machu Picchu were great; we had the best guide with us who took incredible photos on the way and provided such great information.  Highly recommend this tour to everyone and get Urbano as your guide.

The jungle tour was full of activities.
We chose the Inca Jungle tour with TERRA QUECHUA and it was an excellent choice. From the exciting biking down the mountains to the rafting and ziplining adventures, every part of the trip was full of excitement and discovery. The jungle hike was an educational experience, with a guide who shared his knowledge of the local fauna and flora. We really enjoyed the natural hot springs, which allowed us to relax after days full of activities. The visit to Machu Picchu was the highlight of the trip, leaving us with unforgettable memories.

          Fun Day Rock Climbing
I had an awesome time doing the rock climbing day tour! All the gear was in good condition and there was a thorough explanation at the beginning about safety and ways to anchor. I did both top rope and lead with a variety of different routes, and the views were amazing. Highly recommend!

Great 4 days around the Ausangate
I went for the 4 days Ausangate with Rainbow Mountain with Vidal Expeditions, and things couldn't have gone better. Our guide Urbano was both patient and flexible when the weather turned bad or when we got too tired to cross 2 paths on day 2, but we still managed to stick to the original itinerary and see everything along the was. As a vegetarian, the food really stood out as they made sure I had protein at every meal. Quantities were also very generous. Everything was really well organised, and all the staff was always ready to help with little details.

          Great trekking experience
I really wanted to do a four day Ausangate trek but was having trouble finding an agency that had a group I could join. I contacted Vidal Expeditions and they were able to find others to join so we could form a group. Customer service was excellent and responsive. The trek itself was also fabulous. Urbano is a fantastic guide encouraging me to take things at my own pace when the altitude was hitting me. He also shared knowledge about Quechq culture. The cook and horse man were also great and I felt like they took such good care of us. I highly recommend trekking with Vidal Expeditions

Wonderful experience exploring the highlights of Cusco. We have done the two days tour (Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu) with Urbano as our guide, he was very kind making of this trip one of the best experience. They been very professional from the pick up til the drop off, we visited Chinchero, Moray, Salt Mines and Ollantaytambo on the first day, then we visit Machu Picchu early in the morning before the large group arrive, this was great plan to avoid the crowds. Vidal Expeditions team have organized very well everything what they offered us during the booking. We highly appreciate what they did for us during these days spent in Cusco and Machu Picchu. Perfect 2 day hiking trip to Ausangate
I went on the short 2 day Ausangate Trek, and I can’t say enough positive things about my experience! I’ve done many guided hikes with other agencies, and I’ve never met a guide so passionate about their work, the mountains, and sharing their culture. My guide, Chino, was also a great photographer, helping with poses and capturing the memories from the weekend. The food was delicious, and I’m not sure how they were able to create such healthy and fun options in a tent. The sleeping gear was also good quality. This views are amazing in Ausungate, and it is well worth the walk. We got to see 12+ lakes, glaciers, alpacas, and several mountains. This is a nice option if you’re tight on time, and I wish I could’ve had more time to do the 5 day version with this agency :)

We had a wonderful time hiking along the Classic Inca Trail with our best guide, friend, and leader, Vidal, who made this trip a memorable experience for me. I had been part of a small group (5 people); it was the perfect size, and everyone in the group was of similar age. The agency organised everything for me, from the Machu Picchu ticket to the camping gear. I had included everything and was not worried about anything. Our guide came to meet with me at the hotel and provide me the entire details of what to expect about the trek.

They collected me from my hotel on the first day; the transport was included, the guide, and a personal duffel bag with 7 kg was allowed the entire trek. Food was very tasty from beginning to end; they always prepared different varieties and cared about the dietary needs of someone in the group. I had my own personal tent for myself, which was great; drinks were included after the second day. The hike itself was pretty nice but challenging, especially the second day climbing up to 4,215 meters, but the views were worthwhile.

The entire trail is completely steep going up and down with some slope sections, which makes it challenging for someone who feels vertigo; however, the views are incredible. That is why it is one of the best trails in the world. Recommend preparing properly for this trek due to the elevation, and physical condition can be challenging for someone who is not used to doing outdoor activities; packing smart also has great benefits. Honestly, I highly recommend hiking on this trail, and what a best way if you make a deal with Vidal Expeditions to organise your lifetime experience.

Had such a nice time hiking to Machu Picchu through the Classic Inca Trail, our guide was Guido, who did a really good job guiding us for the four days. They picked us up from our hotel early in the morning the first day. We drove to Km 82,, where our hike started.
The porters team was incredible taking all the equipment for the entire trek. this day was not difficult as we took our time to hike gently and explored some of the stunning ancient ruins along the way.
Days two was the toughest, as we had reached 4,215 meters and it took us 4.30 hours to get there. However, our guide and his team did an incredible job motivating us to complete this day; we had 9 porters and a guide in our team.
Day three was the longest day during the trip; we walked around 16 km, but it was such a nice hike due to the pretty landscapes. We had some stops where we visited some Inca ruins on the way to our camp.
Day four was the day to beat the crowds and arrived first at the Sun Gate to have such a nice view of Machu Picchu. And later we explored it.

Honestly, the Inca Trail is without a doubt one of the best trails in the entire world. If you are planning to hike this trail, I highly recommend going with Vidal Expeditions; they care about you and what you need for this trek.

The hike was challenging for me as senior citizen being 69-1/2 years old. I’m in good condition for my age but it was no “walk in the park.” That combined with the high altitude, abundance of steps (most with a rise well over 8”) and rain which made the stepping stone’s slippery presented a good work out which I thoroughly enjoyed making the trek somewhat technical.

Vidal was an excellent guide and expert on the trails. He assisted my wife who had more difficulty navigating the trail. Vidal was very patient, lended great tips on making the hike easier for us, and very knowledgeable about the fauna and flora we encountered along the way. Moreover, Vidal is personable and speaks English very well since our Spanish is limited.

The views and vistas along the way were absolutely stunning. The highlight of the hike was seeing Machu Picchu for the first time from the Sun Gate. Unfortunately, we had to contend with the clouds covering the site but we were able to see the ruins of Machu Picchu intermittently. The amazing thing about it is that only 250/50,000 guests per day get to see Machu Picchu in all its glory from that vantage point at the Sun Gate. I quickly realized how fortunate we were to experience it in this manner. Moreover, at the end of the hike, Vidal led us on a tour of the ruins and we learned a lot about Incan history, culture, and way of life. Vidal knows his stuff and was able to tell us about the Incan Empire and their lives at Machu Picchu and beyond. Additionally, the hike was cost effective and fun. The snacks and meals were nutritious and delicious. I recommend Vidal Expeditions without reservation!

We had to go to Machu Picchu through the Classic Inca Trail 4-Day with Nico as our guide. This was an incredible experience in a small group with only 4 people. The porters team did everything perfect (tents, food, and whole logistics) in 4 days. Nico was incredible, informative, and motivated us to complete the hike. The stunning views on each corner and the breathtaking vista of Machu Picchu on the final day were worth it.Vidal Expeditions is a great local tour operator who cares for their workers and customers during their excursions. We definitely recommend them!

The guide and the staff with us made the hike an unforgettable experience during these four day to Machu Picchu. Our guide Jose Antonio was so friendly and informative, he always look after us. Miguel the cook provided us amazingly great food three meals at day 10/10 service in our opinion.

Vidal Expeditions is a small local company funded by a local tour guide who is doing great work supporting his company and offering the best services on their different tours. And the reason we booked with them was because they are supporting local people, those who have been forgotten by some authorities.
        We definitely will recommned them!!

Vidal Expeditions provided an exceptional experience from start to finish. The service was always professional, and our guide, Mr. Urbano, made the journey even better with his patience and attention to every detail. The porters and chef deserve our respect for their excellent work; the food was delicious and more than we could eat. They truly made us feel like family, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The landscapes and group experiences will remain in our memory forever. If we decide to go on another excursion, we already know where to go and hope that Urbano will be our guide again.

Tips: Listen carefully to the guide, enjoy each day and night, and prepare adequately in terms of equipment and physical conditioning. Prior acclimatization is extremely helpful, and coca leaves make a substantial difference, especially on the second day when you'll face Warmiwañusca, also known as Dead Woman's Pass.

        Definitely oneof my best experience!
The entire trip was amazing, I recommend acclimating to the altitude, maybe get in some cardio before the trip, Cusco city is over 3,360 meters and for someone who never been in this altitude will be struggling with this and more along the trek. So take your time to spend enough days in Cusco before to begin this hike.
Vidal Expeditions makes sure you have everything during these 4 days, food, tents, sleeping bags and trekking poles, however during your trek problably you won't find porpper bathrooms these are basic (just a simple cabin) The landscapes are incredible even better with everything that your trekking team have done for us.
The guide was great, friendly and knowledgeable about the history, culture, flora and fauna, also very patient. Whole team was great and we are happy to share with them this amazing experience.
I highlight recommend this trek and company to enjoy it.

Lifetime Experience hiking with Jose. We were only 4 people in our group and it was perfect to enjoy as much as possible every day on this trek. Jose made really well his job managing all concerning to the camping site, food, trekking team and great motivation for all of us to don't give up on the 2nd day the most challenging day.
Victoriano our chef he was an excellent person who prepared incredible food and varied even for someone in the group who was vegan person.

The camping gear were pretty good, designed for this kind of expeditions, good tents, air mattresses which is included in your packages, (not as other companies that you need to pay extra for it) dinning tent was big enough for all of us and the sleeping bag very comfortable.
Vidal Expeditions team worked very well to set up our tents, prepare the food, and always there were smiling. This was great motivation for us even carrying many kilos on their back, they taught that nothing is impossible if you focus on it.
Jose were really patient guide, always telling us the best words to keep pushing our body and get our goals, his knowledge about leading groups are incredible, history and all our quistiones were answered.
Vidal Expeditions did great job organizing every details of this trip, and we made the right decision by choosing them for our journey in Peru.

Definitely if we are going back to Peru we will take their service again, and also we will recommend to everyone go with them, I guarantee that you will have incredible experience!!

Definitely book with this company if you are planning to hike on the Inca Trail! They are some of the most efficient and hard working group of people i have ever see! They literally bend over backwards to make sure you have the best time ever, they pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Vidal at the office is great, he really made sure we got the best deal for our buck. He offered us 2 different packages. His explanation really helped us make a good decision.

Please ask for Jorge he is the best Chef ever, it was incredible what he was able to cook let along in a tent, it was buffet after buffet of just the most tastiest meals!
We couldn't believe what he could make outdoors, I wish i had Jorge at every restaurant in Peru, incredible man. The porters were incredible too. They made sure we always had plenty of water for our hikes and they were amazing setting up the tents and washing all the dishes and just generally being very friendly and helpful.

Everyone on this team is sooo hardworking it's so amazing to see they are always happy and smiling. Also if you have a hard time hiking because of the elevations they have the way how to help you and motivate to keep doing and reacg your goal.
Percy was our guide he was very knowledgeable and always took care about us. He would make sure everyone in the group got to each place safely and within a good time. I honestly have never see such a hard working team! It was incredible to see such good kind people just really enjoy working together with such great attitudes, they really are the nicest and most genuine people I've ever met in a very long time.

I will recommend this team to every single person who even thinks about coming to Peru, we saw all the sights and learned so much about the Inca culture and Peruvian traditions.
Thank you for providing such incredible service!!! 10/10 would recommend to everyone. A big thank you to such an incredible staff.

We did the classic Inca Trail with Vidal Exp. It was a well organized trip. Our guide Jose with his entire porters/chef did an awesome job taking care all of us, everything was ready for us whenever we arrived to our lunch/ camp spot. The food was so so good and always fresh, we always enjoyed every meals 3 times per day.
The guide was ver knowledgeable and never rushed us. We got enough time to enjoyed the landscpaes along the trail.
There were some challenging part during thes 4 days, but the entire crew of guide/porters and chef kept us motivated.
I would highly recommend Vidal Expeditions and this crew for the Inca trail adventure, I am sure you will have a incredible experience as we had.
