About
Q'eswachaka - The only Inca bridge that still exists today. We can find it approximately three and half hours from Cusco by car, in the province of Canas. If you love to know about the ancient Inca culture and adventure, you can not miss visiting this place and taking advantage of crossing the 28-meter bridge which is made of ichu (puna straw).

    Puente Qeswachaka
Stop: 8 hours - Admission excluded
The trip begins in the city of Cusco with the pick-up from your hotel at 6 am. After almost two hours of travel, we will visit the four lagoons: lagoon of pomacanchi, asnaqocha and pampamarca or tungasuca. Then, the next place we will visit is the small volcano of pavilion, located near the town of yanaoca. Finally we will arrive at the apurimac river and the impressive Q’eswachaka Inca bridge. This hanging Inca bridge is made of vegetable fiber (ichu) and is located in the district of Quehue. The existence of this bridge dates from the Inca period, and the renovation and maintenance is done once a year by the local people. We will have the opportunity to cross the Inca bridge, carefully, because it seems easy, however, it takes courage to do so although you will undoubtedly enjoy it when feeling great emotion as Indiana Jones in the movies. Once this visit is over, we will return to Cusco at approximately 6 PM, where our final stop will be in Plaza San Francisco.

Nice Day Trip
Feb 2020
I can totally reccomend this trip. Was quite an unique and an interesting tour to the last Incan bridge off the city of Cusco. The community were very welcoming and friendly and we also had the chance to interact with them and get an idea about their traditions and culture and how well they have preservedthe bridge. This a well worth tour and it was one of the best things i did on my trip to Peru.

Nice Tour
Qeswachaka is a fantastic place a true gem off the Cusco city. The community here is contributing a lot to preserve the culture and tradition. On this tour with Machu Picchu Peru Tours gave us an opportunity to interact with the people from the community which was a very bice way of getting a first hand information.

Great Sight
Nov 2019
Qeswachaka is not so popular. We read and heard a lot about this attraction from many fellow travellers and decided to give it a go. It was well worth the visit. The community was very nice and friendly. It was a bit adreanline filled to walk on top of the bridge but was a very wonderful experience. A must do!

Well Worth It
Oct 2019
I met a few guys in the hostel I was at and went on this tour with Jorge as our tour guide. The sites were amazing along the way to the bridge. Peru is a beautiful country with friendly people. Jorge was a great guide he had lots of knowledge and was always upbeat. It was a pleasure to go on a tour with him. He even convinced me that aliens might not be the architects of these ancient Peruvian sites.
