About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- lisagA4930FK0 contributionsNot worth the time or money. The tour was meh. The first place we went was Sasqawaman, and that was worth going to. However, you can walk there from downtown Cusco in about 30 minutes or take a cab for ten soles. The rest of the places we went to were very small, very fast, and generally not worth the trip. I like history and archeology, so I enjoy this kind of stuff, but I do not recommend this tour. Instead, walk it get a taxi to Sasqawaman, then read up on the other four sites that will be listed on your entry ticket (70 soles) and see if you want to go there. They are all with close. The biggest downside to this tour was that it ended after stopping at the most expensive alpaca clothing shop in the area, in a small nearby town. This was just an effort to convince us that only these guys have genuine alpaca and so the rest of the stuff anywhere rose was fake, so you need to buy from them. Not recommended.Written 18 September 2024

All informations are detailed. Heidi goes an extra mile in helping us fulfill a bucket list. Heidi’s made us feel safe and well assured. Thanks Heidi for everything!!!Written 21 May 2024
- BoardingPass7606330 contributionsBest option for single travelers. This was one my favorite tours. So happy Heidi has tours for singles. It's one of a few agencies that value your business. If you are going it on your own they are best!Written 16 January 2024

- robinhO8859DH0 contributionsHIGHLY RECOMMEND ❤️Not only were Heidi and this trip absolutely amazing but it was the most incredible experience we've ever had. Heidi went above and beyond to make sure everything was planned and thoroughly explained. We even stopped at her home so we could experience the culture of her home town and she treated us to delicious coffee and breakfast. Heidi continued to remind us of when/where we needed to be daily and made our lives so much easier. And the tour guide she hired for us for Machu Picchu was amazing!! We love Heidi Travel!!! ❤️Written 2 October 2023
- Tourist669419523540 contributionsPeru The power of love and friendshipFirst of all, I want to thank all the Peruvians who made our trip special. I will recommend Heidi. She is your friend in a strange land. She did not leave us any time feeling alone and helpless. She was commendable. The whole trip was fine and smooth, and we were happy but when we reached Cusco, the tourism police would not let people go to Machu Pichu even if you had the ticket in your hands. The one and only website of Peru tourism sells the tickets to Machu Pichu, and it never mentions that you will not be given any choice to pick a hike, you will not be allowed to go on a day when you had booked it. So, every day from 4am to 9pm you have to stand in line to get approved by tourism police, then after standing for the whole day you may have to go and repeat standing again in the line from 4am to 9pm and you may be told to enjoy the village and go back, without seeing the Machu Pichu. I was literally crying. We packed our bags, and we were about to leave without seeing the Machu Pichu but then Heidi and her friend got us in.In my opinion Heidi and her friend Giovanna have a good team and they will take care of you. They did for us. Love the Peruvians .Written 20 September 2023
- Vacation072422927930 contributionsMachu Picchu with Heidi Travel PeruHeidi travel is a very small independent agency based out of Cusco, Peru. Upon arrival in Cusco Heidi met me at the airport and took me to my hotel. From the start of my trip right to the end Heidi arranged everything, and if I had any questions she was always available by phone or what’s app to answer my concerns. She went out of her way to make my visit to Machu Picchu one I will never forget. Anything she can help you with she will. If your planning day trips or longer in the Cusco area I would 110% recommend Heidi travel she’s a fantastic person, local and very, very happy to help you arrange anything from travel to accommodation to entry tickets. She also works with some wonderful local knowledgable guides and has contacts all over the Cusco area. I can’t recommend Heidi Travel Peru highly enough! Thank you HeidiWritten 27 August 2023
- S1760YXelizabethj0 contributionsStress free Machu Picchu tripHeidi was incredibly informative and communicated consistently before, during, and after my trip. Heidi put together an itinerary for me that covered all of the planning details. She met me in person to review all the steps and give me the train and bus tickets. She also offered suggestions for other places and things to do.Written 26 July 2023
- vrusvibh0 contributionsBest personal service by Heidi during dream vacation to Machupicchu, Ollantaytambo, Maras, Moray and Cusco. We were planning visit to Machupicchu and were searching for travel agent and got reference of Heidi travels from trip advisor. I sent what’s up message and received response immediately. We then exchanged messages and came up with best itinerary. Heidi asked for some advance to do bookings for train and hotels and I must say I was skeptical to transfer money to someone I did not know. We were traveling from USA to Peru for first time and unfortunately missed our flight to Lima from Atlanta. We quickly communicated to Heidi and she responded with modified reservations as we lost one day of our trip. Heidi received us at Cusco airport and we quickly became friends. Her English is very good and had no issues communicating. Her service was very personal and attention to details. Her guides to Machupicchu, Ollantaytambo, Maras and Moray were excellent. I would recommend to use her travel agency for any travel within Peru. Heidi even helped us for transportation from Nasca to paracas, when cruz del sur cancelled our bus at last moment.Written 29 April 2023
- juditsW6404VG0 contributionsSpontaneous stay with HeidiWe met Heidi in Calca. She was super friendly and invited us to her home. Her lovely, spontaneous and welcoming character was a huge gift to us. While we enjoyed spending time with Heidi and her Family, she was very helpful, interested, knowing and answered all our questions. She helped us to get around in Calca when the roads were blocked. Meeting her was such a great experience and made us very happy. All the best for you and your lovely family, Heidi!Written 18 January 2023

- ebadj20220 contributionsHeidi Travel's Great & Safe for North Americans/Europeans/All PeopleMy group of 9 friends and I used Heidi Travel to book local tours in Cusco and our Machu Picchu trip. She's very good at communicating through Whatsapp (will respond anytime) and only connects you with people she trusts. You can feel safe in knowing that you will be Heidi's top priority during your trip. My group returned back to Canada before the political unrest. But I'm sure Heidi will direct you to resources or is able to address your concerns on this matter.Written 21 December 2022
- Iank2teller0 contributionsIn a word, awesome!Had an overall excellent experience with Heidi. I was nervous about working with an independent local outfit but she was totally trustworthy and most importantly, competent. She walked me though every step, provided all of my connections (bus tickets, train tickets, Machu Picchu tickets, etc) so it was seamless. Very professional and a genuine good person. Not many trips you feel obliged to give a hug to the person! Definitely worth your whileWritten 7 December 2022

We did this tour on the last day of our trip to Peru. Our guide, Jose, was a wonderful source of knowledge, also very friendly and fun! I highly recommend this tour if you don't have long-driving travel time available, but still want to learn about downtown, historic Cusco and the ruins surrounding the city. It was a good mix of locations and a perfect way to discover more about the Inca people, their customs, art and religion, as well as llamas and alpacas!

Loved this tour. Booked directly through Heidi (I think). If you’re in Cusco, this is a great day out, and the richness of the tour guide providing exactly what I was after.
One star knocked off as they do that classic on the way back to stop in an authentic alpaca store where you can look at some very pricey (for me) garments. They did however have llamas and alpacas out the back that you could get close to which was a great photo op.

It was awesome to see the ruins and the guide was very knowledable. I knocked off one star only because it felt a little rushed sometimes and I would have liked a little more time to explore. I recommend taking this tour to get the history and then going back later to do exploring on your own if you're into that.

So...we had some younger girls in our group who were very talkative, and did not respect the groups time (were late getting to the bus). Everyone else in the group was grumbling about them but the guide never once said anything negative, even though you can tell he was annoyed too. Besides that, he was very good at explaining the history and mechanics of the sites. Great job

I visited Cusco with my husband and we couldn't have chosen a better tour to sightsee the city. If you are planing to visit you will be in great hands, recommend to ask for Cesar - he was simply amazing, so knowledgable and so nice to talk and ask questions to! He does his tour in English and Spanish so take advantage of hat!
The minivan that took us to other places was great. Overall an amazing experience!

This was a quick trip to the ruins and major attractions within Cusco city. The guide was knoeldgable and hshared a lot of stories and facts about different sites we visited on this tour. All places we visited were in a close proximity although we had to drive a bit off the centre of Cusco to reach the ruins. The views were stunning specially from Sacsayhuaman ruins. A good introduction trip

We were picked up in the hotel by a very unassuming gentleman and toured around the ruins ably guided by him and all we could say is this is 200% the best tour we had. His knowledge of the Incan empire is superlative and was able to answer all our questions. The love he has for his culture manifest in the way he gives us the details. Will definitely get him again when we come back.
