My husband and I are avid travelers. However, we speak little Spanish and traveling with small children (4 months and 4 years old), we felt the need for a bit of extra guidance going to Machu Picchu. There a quite a few steps involved in getting to Machu Picchu and Mega Expeditions really helped in ensuring everything was aligned. Doing with small children was definitely unique and energy consuming, but with Mega Expedition’s assistance, everything went smoothly. The tour guide, Raul, provided lots of valuable information that made Machu Picchu really come alive and he was accommodating regarding the needs of our children.

Wow! This is the most amazing adventure! Four days of remote area and beautiful panoramas. The staff are awesome! They make sure that everyone is well taken care of and having a great adventure. The food is true Peruvian cuisine and is delicious! The other hikers were a great group. We became more like family with this great adventure! The city of Choquequirao is a fabulous hidden gem! Entering the gate to the city prepares you for the things to come. The spacious terraces, massive stones, and endless stairways radiate an energy of a powerful civilization. The sector of the llamas is unique and so wonderful! The trail to access this amazing city is equally impressive! It is a trial of strength, spirit, and pure determination. I was told it is rated the most difficult hike in Peru! If you enjoy hiking and are up to the challenge you definitely must do this adventure!

It was an awesome trip and hike in Choquequirao with our tour guide and his team. Choquequirao Wasi provided excellent service.And the food was great! Really appreciate the campsite people their hard work . Highly recommended.

The Choqequirao trek was an unforgettable experience. Over 4 days and probably 70 kilometers through rugged trails in the Andes l, the hike was both physically and mentally demanding. The views were stunning and the isolation of the ancient ruins made it feel like you are privileged to be one of the people that gets to see it. Unlike Machu Pichu there was hardly any crowds so you have the opportunity to take pictures and appreciate the beauty and history. Our guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English and Spanish and added a lot of context to what is known about Choquequirao. Be prepared for steep climbs and long days, it is not easy to get there, but if you’re up for the challenge it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommended for adventure seekers.

Mainly booked this role because it was the cheapest option I could find, and I was going so last minute (booked it less than a week in advance). Honestly at first I was a bit sceptical about how good the experience would be but I have nothing bad to say!! The hike from the mini van- aguas calientes was rewarding, and although the mini van journey was long I actually enjoyed driving through the Andes, the views were great, and spending an extra day in aguas calientes was quite nice aswell. Everyone that helped me had amazing customer service and were so attentive and answered every question I had :))))) deffos recommend

Had a great day out at Machu Picchu with Mega Expeditions. Everything was well organised and the guide at the site was excellent. Remember to take insect repellent as there are sandflies there. Highly recommend this company to take care of your visit to Machu Picchu!

It’s a fast-paced tour and that’s exactly what I like. Enough time to see the places without standing around bored. Very good value for money and a great way to see the sacred valley if you’re short on time.

This tour was incredible. Very efficient and just the right amount of time at each spot. If you like something slower and more paced, they have other options. This was perfect for me though. Our guide Windsor was passionate about showing us every location and teaching us. He was able to answer every question we had. They have done a great job with this itinerary.

This trip worked perfectly for us as we got to see all the top sites in one trip. A bit rushed but still got enough information about each site to understand the historical significance of each place.

The agency reached out with detailed instructions the day before. Someone had reached out as soon as I booked this tour to have me choose between two different routes of the tour. I took the one that had more stuff covered but was very rushed. It was still great for me since I didn’t feel like I needed more time anywhere. The tour guide was great. His tour guide name was Willson, and he went through great details at all places we went to. Highly recommend this tour if you’re tight on time and don’t want to explore places that are 2-3 hours out by yourself. NOTE: If you’re going to Machu Picchu then you should do this tour and get off at Ollentaytambo. I came back to Cusco (2 hour drive) and then had to leave at 4 AM for a 2 hour drive back to Ollentaytambo because the train to Aguas Calientes (town next to Machu Picchu) goes from Ollentaytambo. Although then you don’t get to Pisac which was mind blowing for me so I’m glad I came back to Cusco.

I had an incredible experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless and well-organized. The staff were professional, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. Every detail of the trip was meticulously planned, ensuring we enjoyed every moment without any hassle. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a stress-free and memorable travel experience. Five stars!

My brother and I did the Sacred Valley Day Tour and it was such a fantastic experience! Our guide was knowledgeable and we felt like we got adequate time at each stop to take in the sights. And Nixon helped to make sure our tour ran smoothly, that we had all the information we needed, and even gave us a cup of coca tea and some great advice on where to get high quality alpaca goods. Communication via WhatsApp made everything really easy.

Our Salkantay Trek with Mega Expedition was nothing short of spectacular. The trail offered breathtaking views each day, making the trek truly memorable. Nixon, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and kind, providing us with valuable insights into the trek and local culture. The food was diverse and delicious, far exceeding our expectations. After long days of hiking, the places where we stayed were amazing—comfortably set up with everything ready for us to rest and recharge. This thoughtful preparation made a significant difference in our overall experience. We originally signed up just for the Salkantay Trek, but after seeing how great everything was, we decided to book a city tour with Nixon as well. The tour gave us a fantastic look at Cusco’s history and culture. Mega Expedition was super responsive throughout the planning process, making everything go smoothly. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend them for both trekking and cultural tours!

Amazing adventure in the Amazon jungle. We saw lots of wildlife and had fun doing the sports. The accommodations, food and guides were all great.
