Viajes picaflor tour co 1 day tour
I did the one day tour from Lima on Oct 11, 2019 as it was recommended by my hotel and only $60usd. Meeting point was Larcomar at 530 am. A very nice bus (with working washroom and recliner seats-this was the only bus I had in Peru that actually had both of these items even though every tour I took advertised them) showed up about 5:35 and the guide had a list of all registered people. We were slowed down a bit by people from other tours trying to board our bus as their bus did not show up. It took just under 4 hours to the staging point for the Isla Ballestiars. On the bus the guide started speaking Spanish and talked for an hour without switching to English. I only speak English and was not happy. The guide to his credit did them come sit with me and explained I was the only English speaker on the bus he explained the itinerary and said to ask him any questions as he wanted to practice his English which was not great. Boat tour for 2 hours was great. Lots of birds and sea lions. Boat tour guide gave commentary in English and Spanish. Then we went to a restaurant for lunch. It was packed with other tour groups so very slow. My food was great but I got service first somehow so I was done before some of our tour had even been served. Then the guide told me we had a 1 hour drive to the desert oasis for the sand buggy tour, it actually took 2 hours due to traffic. Then we had almost an hour wait for the buggies. Once on them it was fun but ride is maybe 15 min with a half hour stop to say sandboard. It's now 6 pm and we still have a 5 hour drive back to Lima plus a stop at a Pisco winery. Pisco place was not a fancy winery but a roadside openair store. This was about a half hour stop and we got a few free samples. I did buy a bottle. We finally got back to Lima at 1230 am. 19 hours, way too long a day. I recommend the Isla Ballestiars tour but pick one that skips the oais, not worth the time. Unique experience in the world
I hired the tour a day before at night and they accepted my reservation. They picked me up from my hotel in Miraflores and the staff was very cordial and respectful but the most impressive thing was swimming with thousands of sea lions which are very friendly, the yacht is medium sized for 20 people, but comfortable. thanks for the attention

    Peaceful morning tour
Nicole was an excellent guide. Very friendly and knowlegeable. It was lovely to get away from the bustle of Lima to enjoy nature, see wildlife, and view the beach. I highly recommend this tour.

    A great introduction to Lima
We decided to start our trip to Peru with this walking tour. We only had one full day in Lima as it was far from the focus of our trip (the Amazon and Machu Picchu were) but we wanted to see something of the city. This tour did just that. Joshi took us on a mini-bus bus as well as two train buses to get around (Lima traffic is just plain ridiculous). We walked around Barranco, Miraflores, and the historical centre, saw the main sites, and got great insights from Joshi who definitely knew her stuff. Thoroughly recommended.

Walk, Experience Lima and Avoid Traffic
Yoselin led me on an interesting solo tour of Lima. Her English was very good and she knows the city and its history. I thoroughly enjoy the tour. The traffic in Lima is legendary. Avoid it by walking and taking the express bus.

    Excellent tour!
Decided to do a tour of Lima before heading to Cusco and Machu Picchu. We purchased this tour with transfers to/from the airport. Walter picked us up at the airport on time and took us to meet Julio at the Sheraton hotel to start our tour. We spent about 4 hours in total. We started in the historic area of Lima, then took the bus to Miraflores, and finally a taxi to Barranco. Julio was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. He also found us a wonderful Peruvian restaurant to have lunch at the end of our tour. He then took us to meet Walter to head back to the airport. Fantastic tour and great way to get an overview of this beautiful city!

    An extensive and comprehensive tour
Having one day left of our wonderful trip to Peru, my wife and I decided to spend our last day taking a 4 hour walking tour of Lima. We had no expectations going into this tour, and hoped for one last memorable experience. Pedro, our tour guide, promptly picked us up at our hotel in Miraflores, and our tour began. He was extremely personable, and a wealth of knowledge of the history of Lima, including the history of the people, Inca and Spanish conflict, Art and Architectural influences, Religious history, as well as local popular culture. His encyclopedic knowledge was as rich as the history of Peru, and we felt immersed and entranced in the details of his stories. We took a train and Pedro showed us the historic center of Lima, known as ‘City of Kings,’ and founded by Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro. There, we toured the churches of San Francisco and San Pedro, the Presidential Palace, and Plaza De Armas. Other highlights included a walking tour of Barranco, and a thorough recount of the important cultural significance of the town that housed so many talented artists and writers. There were so many other destinations along the way, that it would be impossible for me to describe them the way Pedro did. In summary, I highly recommend Pedro, as you will find no one more literate in the culture and history of Peru. Do yourself a favor and take a tour with him! We will be back!

    Julio is great
Excellent tour if you enjoy walking. Julio is an extremely nice guide who did an excellent job of explaining what we were seeing. He was flexible and made sure I saw the things that I wanted to see. We started at my hotel in Barranco with a walk through the area, including the Bridge of Sighs and the Plaza de Armas Barranco. Then we took the Metropolitan bus to the center of Lima and saw Plaza San Martin, Plaza de Armas, and the catacombs of San Francisco. After all that we took the Metropolitan bus back to Barranco and he accompanied me back to my hotel to ensure I found it. Great and nicely tiring day.

So many birds! Nicole is a great guide!
Nicole is so knowledgeable and friendly. I had a wonderful time talking about birds and finding many different species with her. The extra cost of the boat trip was absolutely worth it. I saw my first baby coot in the wild! The location is really neat, with varied habitats and many different kinds of birds. Totally worth the time and money! Thank you so much Nicole!

    Great experience
Our guide was great, she took us to the best places to try the traditional Peruvian meals and buy souvenirs. Her English was excellent and we liked her. If you are visiting Lima you won’t need more than a day to discover the city.

Lima Historic District with excellent guide!
We walked the historic district in Lima today with our wonderful guide Julio. We spent about 4 hours walking at a leasurely pace. Julio was excellent ! He was very knowledgeable, accommodating, polite, a complete professional. We stopped many times as he described what we were seeing and the history behind it. He took photos for us and with us. He was completely attentive to our needs and wishes. Lima’s historic district is a fascinating area, but you definitely should do it with a guide. Thank you Julio !

    Excellent tour and guide
We had Josie for a guide and she was great. Very informative and we got an excellent view of Lima and it’s history. Most reviewers said their tour lasted around 3 hours, ours took 5 hours. And, I don’t think Josie left anything out. We got a taste of the local bus transportation, being squished between passengers in which the bus driver only knows two speeds, full throttle and hard break - LOL. Josie was great and I highly recommend her.

    Amazing Trip
This trip was awesome. At the beginning they give you a motion sickness pill. I strongly recommend that you accept it, as some of the other guests got sick because they didn't. Wilson was our tour guide. He was funny and he really knew the history well. We got to see penguins just chilling on a rock, and we swam with sea lions. On they way back they provided some snacks. They had body suits, but I'm on the heavier side, so I just swam in my shorts. If you can fit into one of their suits, I recommend it because the water is pretty cold. There are lots of jelly fish, but they're not dangerous. I got stung, but the pain went away within a few hours. Just watch out. They crew does a great job of helping people avoid them, but I just had a bit of bad luck. It did not by any means ruin the trip for me. 10/10, would do it again
