My experience with this company is absolutely tremendous! From booking till the end of the trip everything was planned well! I traveled alone and they made sure I’m comfortable throughout the trip. I would like to thank Yuli (Juljan Bradasheshi, I got ur full name buddy :)) The whole trip felt like I’m was with a history teacher talking about the history of Balkans,I learnt a lot from Juli! He shared with me all the history of Balkans throughout the trip, and even shared with me the story of mountains legends it was so interesting, he is so knowledgeable, I could ask him anything about Balkans history and he will straight away tell me, Yuli made sure that i try the best local restaurants, i had my first trout in Ohrid it was absolutely amazing!. and he even offer to stop by at his fav childhood byrek to let me try one! I tell you it was one of the best one I had it was piping hot and soooo good! Thank you for taking care of me throughout the trip and I had one great experience as solo traveler! If you visiting Albania and need to know the best part of this country, Yuli is the person you need! 💯 Thank you so much for this experiences!

The tour was beautiful in views, you get to visit some amazing hidden treasures on this hike. I did a self-guided hike and felt safe and confident about my journey thanks to the organisers. I was invited to meet with Brikena at the Choose Balkans office before I set off on my trek, to go through what to expect and to clear up any questions I might have - I thought this was a wonderful touch as I have not experienced this with other solo treks I have done so I was grateful that the team were so organised and clear about everything. Brikena also sent me a daily message to check if everything was okay and to warn me of any weather problems that I might run into, which made me feel really looked after while alone in the Alps! The accomodations provided were really comfortable and spacious (I was fortunate enough to have my own room the whole time as not many people were hiking at the time). Valbona pass was the highlight of the trip for me as you pass from one village to another. The other days were more like day trips where you end up at the same location at the end of the day - still beautiful scenery and a great experience but not an ongoing trek like other multi-day hikes - but the bonus of this style of trek was not having to carry my whole pack with me every day! Definitely recommend the trek and grateful for Brikena and the Choose Balkans team for making it a seamless and unforgettable experience!

Brikena was amazing showing me around and the spots that we went to were really nice! The food was really good and authentic and I appreciate that. You’re not going to leave hungry, but you won’t feel sluggish at all. The walks weren’t bad from spot to spot either. Would definitely do it again!

This trip was really great. Eraldo, a skilled and friendly driver, made it even more enjoyable with his social and happy demeanor, turning the journey into a fun experience despite the traffic and steep roads. Budva and Kotor are stunning, with beautiful mountains and picturesque landscapes. It was truly an amazing trip.

Not only we visited the destinations as mentioned, but also i learned so much about the Albanian history and Balkan in general, including every monument and place of interest in Budva & Kotor. I enjoyed everything and I definitely had a great day.

Budva and Kotor are absolutely beautiful and I can’t recommend this tour enough to anyone who is staying in Tirana. We went in the last week of October, but the weather was still warm and really nice. Even though we only had one day, we still had plenty of time to explore both Budva and Kotor. Ana, our guide, was terrific. She was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about both Albania and Montenegro.

We were picked up from our hotel on time by private vehicle. Although the road was long, it went quickly and comfortably. Our guide Ilir was a very talkative and communicative person. He gave us a lot of information about the places we visited. It was great to gather information about the history and culture of Albania and Montenegro. I recommend this trip to everyone. 10/10

They are a fantastic tour operator and all our excursions with them were well planned with fantastic guides. They send you messages for pick up and your guides will call you to make sure you know where to meet. Fantastic!

This was our first time to Albania and this trip was booked through the travel company we used. Our guide, Markel, met us near our hotel and took us on a tour of the city with some great food stops. I didn't really know anything about Albania food, but I loved trying new things. Markel was great, really friendly and told us about loads of Albania history. Would highly recommend the tour and guide!

We had a great tour with Markel and went all over tasting different things. Markel was great. He handled what was quite a random group dynamic (as some people arrived late and then needed to leave early) really well and kept professional and unflustered throughout! He did really well, he seemed to be very passionate for what he was doing and we learnt loads from him about Albania we wouldn’t have otherwise known.

This was an AMAZING tour! Our guide, Markel, made this an immersive cultural experience that was quite unexpected. He explained the history of the foods, the way they are made, who invented them, where the people selling them came from and so much more! I appreciated the time he took to explain each thing in so much detail. He also answered all my questions! We went to a fruit stand and had apples, tomatoes and mandarins (all fresher than I've ever had!), for Turkish coffee, where I had a tea so amazing I made Markel find some for me at a market on our way so I could take some home! Then we had some 'meatballs', stuffed eggplant, homemade bread, grilled vegetables, and 'clay pot'. Wow! So much food! We finished everything off at a place full of antiques that offers 30 different flavors of Raki! I had the honey and it was wonderful! I highly recommend this tour! It is well worth the time and money! Ask for Markel - he is excellent!

I used Choose Balkans for both the North Macedonia and Prizren, Kosovo tours. Juli was the guide/driver for both of these tours. Juli was excellent and provided a great overview of both locations including his personal experiences growing up and living in Albania. He kept the group on track and was flexible with our requests. Both of these tours offered beautiful scenery, fascinating history, and interesting sights. Kudos to Juli for his skilled maneuvering of the hectic Tirana traffic!

Wonderful day out visiting Lake Ohrid, Struga and Ohrid. Juli was an excellent guide and driver, with interesting and wide-ranging conversation which made the long journeys pass effortlessly. Highly recommended - particularly fortunate to do the trip in such glorious autumn weather!
