We did the walking food & culture tour with Redi. The communication beforehand was excellent and Redi was an informative and passionate guide with a great love of his country and its history and politics. He was very engaging. As for the food - it was fascinating and extremely tasty - we started with a breakfast soup, then a coffee stop in the bazaar but I had hot chocolate and oh my, it was liquid chocolate deliciousness. Then onto an ice cream with corn juice over it. A local specialty and really refreshing and lovely. Finally a huge Albanian feast of grilled meats and vegetables, pickles, dips and sauces, a gorgeous lamb & cheese dish, beans, bread….the list goes on. I didn’t give it 5 stars because of the weather - not at all the fault of the guide but the rain was torrential- more than 50mm fell and there was some flooding in the city and despite rain gear & umbrellas we were drenched - so it was a little uncomfortable. However I really enjoyed learning more of the history of Albania and seeing it all through the eyes of a local young man. Hopefully next time we will have fine weather!

We give Daniel five stars. On top of being a great guide for the hike he also taught us lots of history and other facts about Albania. We had a wonderful time.

Amazing tour, especially because of the people and the views. The people in the group were amazing, and I think this is always the case. And man, the two tour guides, Daniel and Redi: so much fun, responsibility, knowledge about history and nature,... I only wished there would have been a little bit more hiking instead of city sightseeing

It was the most scenic drive I’ve ever been on. It was a long tour but we stopped regularly for pictures and to take in the view. My tour guide, Engjell, was very knowledgeable, warm and friendly. I definitely recommend this tour

Such an amazing and interactive experience ! The instruction ,quality of food , and homemade wine is beyond wonderful. Surpassed my expectations- anyone visiting or living in Albania should join this class . Special shout out to the incredibly warm hospitality Sindi ! ☺️

We had an incredible time on our tour! Our guide was very informative and fun to be around! Worth every penny :). A great way to see a beautiful country you otherwise might not have a chance to visit.

The views of the coastline are spectacular. I had a great host who had a lot of historical information. I recommend this as an alternative to Kotor.

The cooking class was a really fun way to learn more about Albanian culture and enjoy making good food. Sindi was an amazing instructor and great host. Everyone in our small class participated in preparing the food, while enjoying the wine made by Sindi’s family. Sharing the finished meal together in the atrium was a special way to finish the afternoon.

We had an amazing experience with Sindi! She was so knowledgeable and fun to hang out with! We learned a lot, and ate good food. It felt like a party!

Do not waste money or time coming to Albania. First Tirana is a dirty crowded city and the drivers are dangerous. There is nothing worth seeing. I’ve been to over 100 countries in the world. The sites to see are worthless. No wow moments just aggregation. The woman are friendly but the men- yikes! If you’re just counting countries give yourself 1 day and get out. If you are a vegetarian or pescatarian forget it. Also often things they state are worth visiting are not open even though the internet says it is. Pathetic. Albania is NOT WORTH A VISIT.

We took a McCarthy'sParty 12 day tour of Newfoundland and Labrador from August 26 to September 6, 2024. The whole experience was most positive, the itinerary was well thought out and we were lucky to have an excellent guide in Eugene Flynn. Whose knowledge of everything Newfoundland is extensive. Our accommodations and meals could not be faulted. I think we saw most of the highlights and those we didn't see just means that we need to return for a follow-up tour at a different time of year so that we can take in what we missed this time around. Whenever that is, I shall be using McCarthy'sParty.

This class was an amazing experience. Sindi greeted us outside before we even had a chance to look like lost tourists, and she both entertained and taught us about cooking and Albanian culture throughout the class. I enjoyed the hands-on approach, with each student getting a cutting board and an opportunity to prepare all steps of the meal ourselves. The homemade wine was also delicious. I have taken several cooking classes throughout the world while traveling, and this has been one of my absolute favorites. The food was delicious and the recipes are easy to recreate at home. I would highly recommend this class!

The tour guide was very friendly and informative and also attentive on needs like bathroom and eating breaks. You get a lot done and the views are amazing. It is well worth the price and convenience. It's their longest tour and you leave fulfilled in memories.
