7 years on - same friendliness, professionalism and fun!
We did this very same hike with SFT when we visited Bosnia for the first time 7 years ago and we adored it then - stunning scenery, great local food, interesting mixing with local villagers - and led by a lovely and knowledgeable guide (Skender). Doing the same hike again did not sully our fond memories of the first time at all - because the second time was also so marvellous. Our guide was different (the delightful Elvira), the group bigger (we were 10 + guide), and the mountain cafes where we ate lunch and had our celebratory post-16km hike beer were both new. All was brilliant though - the organisation, the travel, the food, the hike itself (not difficult but does require a basic level of fitness) and the cultural experience of seeing close-up the life in these remote villages. I urge anyone with the capability who is going to Sarajevo to take some decent walking shoes and book this full day experience with Sarajevo Funky Tours!

Adnan is an awesome guide!
Jul 2019
We are so happy we took this breathtaking tour!!! Adnan was a fantastic guide! He told us a lot about Bosnian culture and present day happenings. Our lunch in Lukimir was also an incredibly interesting (and delicious!) experience. This tour was the last day of our trip and we truly couldn't have picked a better way to end our vacation.

A wonderful experience!
Apr 2019 • Family
Our trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina was probably the most meaningful trip I have ever taken. I was initially interested in learning more about the war (which I did) but left with the desire to return again and see more of the beautiful countryside, thanks to the excursions we did with Sarajevo Funky Tours! I can't say enough positive things about this company. They were organized, efficient and on time. The office responded quickly to all of my emails and gave helpful, detailed answers. They also made great suggestions without being pushy.
We did a hiking tour from Umoljani to Lukomir, a spectacular alpine trail ending at the small alpine village of Lukomir. Adnan was a fantastic guide and very kind and patient with our two young boys (8 and 10 years), even when they were more interested in playing than hiking. We ate lunch in Lukomir in a charming lodge with several other hiking groups. The relaxed conviviality of the guides was a joy. The drive up and down through the narrow mountain roads was spectacular, and also relaxing due to our careful driver Faris.
We also did the Mostar Day Trip and it was fantastic. We were in Bosnia and Herzigovina for a week but I wished we had stayed longer - there is so much to see! Thank you to Sarajevo Funky Tours for making our time there so memorable!

A scenic adventure
Jun 2019 • Friends
The mountains in and around Lukomir village are unlike anything I've seen. They're breathtaking. The air is fresh and the breeze is cool and refreshing. There are some dangerous ridges that add to the adventure. And Funky Tour's guides are like the brothers I wish I had. It all ends with a lunch from the farms of Lukomir(not for vegetarians).

An incredible cultural experience and fun day of hiking!
May 2019 • Friends
We spent an amazing day with our guide Saudin hiking Bjelasnica Olympic Mountain to the village of Lukomir! Everything was incredibly well-organized and timely. The hiking itself wasn't too intense, but the length of the day (about 12 hours) made the experience challenging from an endurance standpoint. But we had plenty of opportunities for breaks, and one of the highlights was lunch, an amazing, authentic meal in Lukomir village! Along the way, we hiked to the peak of the mountain range, saw an amazing waterfall, and learned about the history of the region. It was both an incredible cultural and hiking experience, and we can't recommend it enough for people up for the challenge!

Amazing Hike to Lukomir!
May 2019 • Couples
We spent a wonderful day with both guides Saud and Damir hiking from Umoljani to Lukomir and back!
We've learnt a lot about Lukomir and the mountains, felt save throughout the hike, had great conversations and laughed so much together.
Definitely a highlight of our vacations!

Thanks again also to Ema for fastly responding to our requests and making the hike possible!

Loved every minute!
Apr 2019 • Family
My 16 year old son and I spend 3 consecutive days with Sarajevo Funky Tours and they were 3 of our best travel days ever! Knowledgeable, friendly guides, stunning scenery and architecture, and great company says it all! We started with the Siege tour, hiked for 16km the next day from one village to another with unbelievable views and finished our stay in Bosnia with a beautiful train ride and tour of the area southwest of Sarajevo. I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our time in Bosnia and can't wait to come back. The tours are a great value and SFT was super accommodating for our visit during low season.

Dear Lscheers, Thank you for your words, they are really super motivating for us. They just prove that things done with passion mean whole lot more. Guests like you are honour to have and host here in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We hope to see you and your son, one day again. All the best.

Amazing trips in and around Sarajevo!
Aug 2017 • Friends
I've been on several trips with Sarajevo Funky Tours and enjoyed every single one of them. I've done the Sarajevo Total Siege Tour, where you visit the War Tunnel and learn more about the Siege of Sarajevo. On that tour you also visit the remains of the 1984 Olympic bobsleigh track which is just a MUST-DO when you're in Sarajevo.
I also hiked to Lukomir Village, which is breaktaking. The mountains around Sarajevo are beautiful and definitely a must-see!
Skender (the owner) and his staff will make sure you have the best time and will also go out of their way to make any tour work for you! I definitely recommend Sarajevo Funky Tours when you're in Sarajevo!
