About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 190laurelw0 contributionsNice day tour if you want to see SerbiaVery good guide , small van, some interesting sites , and historical places. I probably would not go again but at least it was good to have some informative information about SerbiaWritten 6 October 2024
- 190laurelw0 contributionsNORTH MACEDONIAFull day tour in a van , we were lucky to have such nice travelers with us and the guide was informative and answered many questions. The town is very interesting, statues of Mother Theresa, and other dignitaries , archeological digs, old town , and a fascinating history.Written 6 October 2024
- O8277SAsandrah0 contributionsA smooth, interesting experienceOur Bulgarian guide/driver - Daniel - was excellent - easy going, informative and friendly - also knowledable about guiding through the border controls. Then in Skopje the guide was excellent - I am sorry I never caught her name but she made the tour really interesting and was friendly/informative. The trip is a long one but well worth doing - the 8 seater we travelled in was very comfortable and the air con extremely welcome. Booking was easy and information clear. Highly recommended.Written 3 October 2024
- 1992catharina0 contributionsIncredibleWhat an amazing tour! The caves are incredible! It is a day long trip, but totally worth it! Also the tourguide Daniël was a really nice guy and told the interrasting story a long the way. And for lunch he tooks to a real Balkan restaurant with enough to choose from! 100% can reccomend this trip!Written 1 October 2024
- WayfaringLibertarian0 contributionsExcellent, but be sure to eat a large breakfast! This was a jam-packed day trip, which was SO appreciated. Some day trips seem to only include time in the specified city, but this one had three unique stops, time for lunch in Niš, and excellent commentary by the guide. The one drawback was that all of the stops took place before lunch and we weren’t able to eat until around 2:30pm. Once we made it to Niš, our guide lacked urgency when it came to taking us to an appropriate lunch spot, which made my very hungry friend and me frustrated. That said, as long as you book the trip with the knowledge that you’ll be having a late lunch and plan accordingly, you should thoroughly enjoy yourself.Written 26 September 2024
- WayfaringLibertarian0 contributionsSadly, the language barrier was a significant drawbackI really wanted to enjoy this day trip, but the reality is that I received no educational value from it - at all. Our tour guide was as nice as could be, so it doesn’t feel good to be critical, but his accent made learning anything from him unbearably difficult. My friend and I took this trip on a rainy day, which wasn’t ideal. But, the weather was less of a drawback than our guide’s difficult accent. The trip was advertised on TripAdvisor as having a 9:30am pickup and starting with a trip to the Museum of Socialist Art. Well, it ended up having an 8am pickup and we went straight to the Buzludzha Monument. Patrons should know in advance what their accurate itinerary will be, so I didn’t appreciate this discrepancy. It was a long journey to the Buzludzha Monument and one with little educational commentary. We were told that the commentary would commence once we reached the monument, but it was honestly so difficult to understand that it provided no value to us. The lunch stop was affordable and delicious, so that was appreciated. I also really appreciated that our guide waited as we watched the ~25-minute film at the Museum of Socialist Art. The “museum” was more of an exhibition of art, but it was still enjoyable — especially the outdoor portion. To summarize, our guide was patient and kind, but English-speaking tourists expect more clarity when it comes to the accent of their guide. I’d be lying if I said I was 100% satisfied with how the day went.Written 26 September 2024
- NC-TRex0 contributionsLong Day but worth it!Very pleasant surprise to get to see Skopje. However trip took 13-14 hours. Very exhausting day so be prepared! A real border crossing experience between Bulgaria and Macedonia.Written 24 September 2024
- arianameg9240 contributionsDefinitely worth the experienceThis is a great way to visit another country while in Sofia. Daniel was our driver and guide and he was great. We didn’t know much about Niš but this tour certainly changed that. The Skull Tower and concentration camp were dark but impactful. The city of Niš surprised us to the upside- it’s on a river and has a cool vibe. We dined at the Crazy Horse because it is right on the river and has a nice view; though it is not Serbian food, I would recommend. I do wish we had more time in Niš city center and I also wish the stop made on the way there should not be at the snack hut at the border. The food there in packages were expired. I recommend bringing food/drink with you on the tour and if you stop at the snack hut at the border, check expiration labels!Written 20 September 2024
- arianameg9240 contributionsAmazing experienceHighly recommend this (all) day trip from Sofia. We had Kiko as our driver and he was 10 star, awesome. He stopped along the 4 hr ride and gave us some nice guidance and insight. He was generous as well, bought some pastry for my husband when he mentioned he wondered what it was like. He dropped us off in Skopje and we had a woman guide. She was nice. Skopje is quite interesting; most statues in the world and a interesting religious climate there. I had no idea Mother Teresa was born there. This part of the tour was 2 hrs and then we had some free time to eat. The ride home was another 4 hrs. Despite the length of the day, it is totally worth it; who wouldn’t want to visit a new capital city ?!Written 20 September 2024
- jahanarac19820 contributionsA little taste of MacedoniaThis is a long day trip please note, as it is 4hrs drive there, 4hrs in Skopje and 4hrs drive back. We had breaks in between the drives which was great. Our Bulgarian driver/guide and our Macedonian representative were both very lovely and friendly people. If you have never been Skopje, it's definitely worth going to have a little taste and glad this trip wasn't too long. The old bazaar area is very interesting and if we did have more time would have been nice to walk around there a little further. The 2hrs free time we had (after 2hrs walking tour) was nice to have, to relax/have lunch/have a drink. I have heard other places in Macedonia are much better to visit but definitely worth going on this trip if you want a little taste of Macedonia.Written 12 September 2024
- Rian C0 contributionsLeft a sour taste but was a valuable experienceOur Bulgarian driver was faultless throughout the trip, very funny and talked to us about the history of the region. The drive is roughly 4hrs there and back so his commentary and jokes made the time fly. He even made a stop to get us umbrellas because it was raining which he didn’t have to do. A lovely guy. When we got dropped off in Skopje we met the Macedonian guide, he was unfortunately probably our least favourite part of the tour, he quietly talked to us about where to find “a good time” in the city and gave us his contact card for more information. Once we had finished the Skopje part of the tour, he took us to a restaurant which seemed to show a commission based agreement to bring tourists past for the business. We had 2 hours of free time which we enjoyed and went for lunch at the London Inn off the centre. Would recommend visiting. Good food and drinks. Then it was time to get back with our Bulgarian guide in the van for our trip back to Sofia. Again an absolutely flawless experience. He was the highlight of our trip. I have given this 5 stars for the Bulgarian driver and for our visit of Skopje. However the Macedonian guide experience did put a sour taste on the whole trip. I would recommend going on this tour as it was a valuable experience to learn about the country of North Macedonia.Written 11 September 2024

- Npk920 contributionsWonderful tour to Skopje from Sofia! Well worth it.I wanted to visit Skopje and North Macedonia but without having to pay for a whole new air fare and hotel to do it. I found this Skopje day tour from Sofia and I’m glad I booked it, it was the perfect way for me to see this new destination. A big thanks to our tour guides Dimo and Lena for delivering this memorable experience that introduced us to Skopje and North Macedonia, because of them we had an amazing day! Dimo picked me up from my hotel at 8 am, introduced me to our group at and drove us about 3 and a half hours to Skopje arriving at around 11 am, we gained an hour due to the time difference. We stayed in Skopje for 4 hours, doing a guided walking tour with our wonderful tour guide Lena for 2 hours and then taking 2 hours of free time to do whatever we liked in the city. There was much to see in Skopje and I took lots of great pictures and videos, I loved my time there! At 3 pm Skopje time we met back with Dimo and he drove us back to Sofia, arriving at around 8 pm. All in all I thoroughly enjoyed this tour, I was able to see a new destination without having to pay for another airfare and hotel accommodation. If you’re in Sofia and are curious about Skopje and North Macedonia don’t hesitate to book this tour, it’s an excellent way to get a glimpse at this city and country. - NolanWritten 7 September 2024

He told us all about the countries’ history, pointed out sights as we went past, knew all about the places we visited and even stopped for us to get coffee. Was an amazing dayWritten 6 September 2024

Highly recommended tour when in Sofia. Main focus is on history of Sofia and Plovdiv. I got an excellent overview of Bulgaria from pre historic times to today. The tour of the different parts of Plovdiv was very comprehensive. In addition to history, a great stop at one of the best breweries in Bulgaria, including a personal tour and tasting. If looking for a fun way to see Plovdiv, this was perfect!! Mato specifically was fantastic, answered all my questions from modern day pop culture to ancient day Thracia.
