Overview
The towering cliffs and cascading waterfalls of the Plitvice Lakes National Park lie in central Croatia, to the south of Zagreb. With this private tour, reach the lakes with ease and customize your itinerary to your own preferences. Perhaps visit the pretty settlements of Rastoke and Karlovac, and discover sites of interest such as the 18th-century Turanj fortress. At the Plitvice Lakes, explore on foot, by boat, and by train with your private guide, and enjoy panoramic views over one of Croatia’s top natural attractions.
What to Expect
The tour starts at your accommodation and after 40 minutes driving our first stop is Karlovac, a town where a natural and cultural landscape intertwine into something that is unique in the world, and it happens at the confluence of four rivers. We will visit Turanj fortress from the 18th century and check out a Homeland war museum.

After 30 minutes driving we will arrive to Rastoke Village where the nature had played with turquoise waters of the river Slunjčica and divided them into a myriad of sputtering waterfalls. Check out how the watermill works and a have a coffee break by the river.

A little bit more driving and finally arrive to Plitvice lakes where you will spend approximately 4 hours. The tour includes some walking parts, a boat ride and a train ride.

When you are done exploring the National park, you will head back to Zagreb, which is approximately a 2-hour drive.

Must visit

Awesome, heaven on earth. Has no trace of pollution, nicely maintained, I am confused should I give more marks than Switzerland?

There are 3 trails. 4km,8km and 12km. 8km pretty much covers the best parts of the park and is fairly easy for a reasonably fit person.
