About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- N6561BCadrianac0 contributionsMarch 2024 experienceThe most interesting tour I have done so far in all my trips! The previous 5-star ratings led me to book this tour and I am so happy I did!! You get to discover a time in Croatia that is off the guidebooks, learnings about the mentality and architecture during Yugoslavian period, on a very fun way and driving a retro car, the Yugo! Teo did a fantastic job and the two hours flew by. He dropped us at a great restaurant, which was a great recommendation! Don't leave Zagreb without doing this tour.Written 24 March 2024
- Brenda W0 contributionsVery interesting and worth the tripThe trip was so interesting and the tour guide was great. He took his time to visit the different areas and explain what took place years agoWritten 4 March 2024
- 532emmay0 contributionsThe Highlight of Our Trip: A 5-Star Yugo + the Socialist City Tour with TeoOur recent Yugo + Socialist City Tour in Zagreb, led by the exceptional local guide Teo, was the absolute highlight of our trip. From start to finish, the tour exceeded our expectations, and we cannot express enough how much we loved this experience. Setting up the tour was a breeze, thanks to Teo's efficient and responsive communication. The process was seamless and hassle-free. The private tour format made the entire experience feel intimate and personalized. Teo's passion for the subject matter, combined with his incredible firsthand accounts, transformed the tour into an engaging conversation. We felt privileged to delve deep into the socialist history of Yugoslavia with such an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide. Teo's expertise and storytelling abilities were exceptional. His firsthand experiences and profound knowledge of the socialist era in Yugoslavia provided us with a comprehensive understanding of the period. His narratives were captivating, and his nuanced insights shed light on the political, social, and cultural aspects of that time. During the tour, Teo surprised us with historically relevant snacks, adding a thoughtful touch to the experience. It was a lovely detail that made us feel even more immersed in the historical context. The tour took us to specific landmarks in Zagreb that played a crucial role in the socialist history of Yugoslavia. Exploring sites such as the Mammoth, the Cube, and New Zagreb, we were able to visualize and comprehend the significant impact of socialism on the city and its people. It was a thought-provoking journey that left us with a newfound appreciation for the complexities of this historical period. Teo's recommendations for the rest of our time in Zagreb were invaluable. We followed his suggestions and were rewarded with unforgettable experiences that complemented our exploration of Yugoslav history, such as visiting the 80's museum. Additionally, Teo's recommendations for other attractions, including the Museum of Broken Relationships, Lotrščak Tower, Mali Medo Brewery, and the funicular, gave us a well-rounded vision of Zagreb. TLDR, the Yugo + Socialist City Tour with Teo was not only the highlight of our trip but also an experience that will stay with us for a lifetime. Teo's passion, firsthand accounts, and exceptional storytelling skills made the tour extraordinary. If you're visiting Zagreb, this tour is an absolute must. It will provide you with a deep understanding of history and leave you with memories that will forever be cherished. It's a 5-star adventure!Written 6 June 2023
- Cheryl S0 contributionsWhat a fun time! This was the best tour to get acclimated to the city! The Yugo was fun - and like new - and it was just a great experience all around! Would definitely not miss!Written 3 January 2023
- markfH2077CM0 contributionsBrilliant tourHad a brilliant few hours with Teo while he drove us around in an old Yugo while telling us about some of the history from the old Yugoslavia and communism. Would fully recommend this insightful tour.Written 2 December 2022
- cmverb0 contributionsA unique experience!Teo provided a unique and interesting view of how people lived during the communist times. His knowledge of the history was amazing and the Yugo was awesome. He went above and beyond.Written 12 November 2022
- Natacha1840 contributionsCustom mix of 2 toursI had a great time on a custom mix of 2 tours (socialist tour + abandoned hospital), as my time was a bit limited in Zagreb. The company was more than willing to accommodate me on that request, and the price was fair. Teo was a great guide, he was friendly and knowledgeable. The Yugo itself is a fun ride. I'll contact them again whenever I'll be back in Zagreb, as a lot of their tours on their website were so interesting that I'll need to go back and do the rest!Written 13 October 2022
- BHA19830 contributionsBrilliant Yugo tourWe did a tour called 'Yugo and the Socialist city'. Our guide was Teo and he was really excellent, lots of engaging information about the old Yugoslavia days.Written 16 July 2022

- Mobile403316931700 contributionsGreat tourThis is a great tour for anyone interested in the history of Yugoslavia/Tito. Our guide Teo provided us with so much information and was very friendly. Getting to ride in a Yugo was a great experience!Written 31 May 2022
- Mobile403316931700 contributionsGreat tourA great day visiting the beautiful Plitvice National Park and the very cool Zeljava airbase. Our guide Teo was very knowledgeable, friendly, and made our experience amazing!Written 31 May 2022
- lisalU7150QX0 contributionsMost unusual, interesting tour!Teo’s positivity and enthusiasm for his country’s history was fantastic. He came prepared with visual aids to explain the city. We had no idea of the history of Croatia but Teo was thorough and descriptive in explaining it to us. We learned what it was like to live under communist rule – how the housing was built, jobs, infrastructure, etc. He even treated us to some candy from that time period. We felt completely safe in his hands and learned to appreciate what that time was like. Would recommend.Written 18 March 2022
- Sibi C0 contributionsA perfect private tour.My wife and I planned this trip and Teo was our private tour guide for the Plitvice Lakes National Park. He was too good. Very friendly and explained everything about the park and also about the Croatian culture. He also gave us additional tips on where to eat and hangout. If you're planning your trip here in Croatia then Teo is the person to go to.Written 9 November 2021
- 13nicholasw0 contributionsA Day Very Well Spent!Teo was a great, knowledgeable, and friendly tour guide on our Yugo tour to Plitvice and Zeljava Airbase. My husband and I took this tour last week during our two week trip through Croatia and this was probably our most interesting day spent in the country. Teo had SO much info and answered my many questions on Yugos, Yugoslavia, and so much more. For a small car it was a comfortable ride the whole day. Not to mention all the people smiling and waving as they saw the Yugo drive by. Plitvice and Zeljava were certainty interesting and we felt we got the right amount of time at both places. Having a guide for the Zeljava part was especially helpful, since it's so remote. And of course the fun part was getting to take the Yugo for a spin towards the end of the tour! We would 10/10 recommend this tour to anyone visiting Zagreb who would like to spend a day going to Plitvice/Zeljava. Thanks again for the great time, Teo! And for helping us order the lamb peka for lunch!Written 18 September 2021

Wau! My best friends father used to own yellow Yugo, similar to Žuti, which we had on the tour. Feelings were amazing. Žuti was in great condition. I could smell the memories stored in old seats and roof. As I would move 30 years back to Ex Yugoslavia. Besides the car we has a great time exploring Zagreb. I thought I know the place but Antonija introduced me so many new interesting, historical and beautiful places. If you have the chance do this tour, it is a great way to get the feeling of Zagreb, old times and now days too :)

I would highly recommend this tour and was one of the highlights of our trip to Zageb. Guide was brilliant and was fascinated to hear not only history of Croatia and Zagreb, but also of Yugo cars themselves. A brilliant way to see the city and the surrounding hills in a car that draws a lot of attention! Do it!
