Thanks to the employees of Velopoint for the opportunity to rent an e-bike and see the most interesting places in Chisinau and its surroundings. I listened to recommendations about driving culture and rules, I selected the sights myself. A helmet, a lock, a reflective vest are included with the e-bike rental. In general, I had an interesting experience, however, I recommend choosing a trip with a local guide, because then you won't have to think about the choice of roads, you should take into account that Chisinau has a bit of terrain, there are stairs in many places, the condition of the sidewalks is not perfect everywhere. However, you can see that the city is starting to think about bicycle infrastructure, for example, two-way bicycle lanes have been created on one of the streets. It is convenient to ride in parks, however, large streets and highways outside the city are relatively unsafe for cyclists. Small villages also have off-leash dogs. The supervisor was ok. He gave me a short city tour (two hours) of all kinds of buildings. We had to drive as much on the street as on the sidewalk. I had to pay 40 euros for it.

We had a great time biking from Chisinau to Odessa, through wonderful landscapes, meeting nice people and having teasty meals. Vasile and staff of Velopoint in Chisinau was most effifient in making this happen. We booked the city tour by bike on the strength of other reviews and were not disappointed. Arrangements were made easily with Vasile who was always quick to respond and very helpful with all sorts of queries. The tour was with the excellent Caterina. She took us to very sights around the city and was full of information on the history of Moldova and Chisnau. We all really enjoyed the whole trip despite the fact that some of us had not cycled for a very long time. Highly recommended.
