Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Vali was a great tour guide and showed us hidden street art gems in Bucharest. We live here and this tour was so interesting for discovering our own city. He is up to date with all the graffiti/street art changes that take place as this type of art never lasts too long. I really enjoyed the details he provided. Would definitely recommend, this experience left us with a very positive vibe.

I wholeheartedly recommend the tours organized by Vali Dobrin/ Alternative Bucharest. If you take an interest in street art, modern urban interventions and graffiti, this tour is for you. I greatly enjoyed rediscovering the lively pulse of Bucharest from the perspective of the stories told by Vali, who is such a passionate and friendly guide. This tour is an “off the beaten track” walk through Bucharest’s history and personality. It also teaches you to look for the details hidden in plain sight all over the city. It doesn't matter if you are an inhabitant of Bucharest or a mere tourist, you will definitely enjoy this experience.

This was my favourite activity in Bucharest! Vali is a very passionate and knowledgeable guide and made us discover a side of the city you would normally miss. The walk is very long but totally worth it. We were also handed out some stickers and given a chance to contribute to the local street art scene ourselves during the tour :)

Alternative Bucharest Tour does a great job in training the eye to see a much-ignored side of the city and providing plenty of exciting information to ease the decoding of street art and interventions. Was really impressed by the abundance of hidden esthetics, diversity of techniques in street interventions, stories and symbolisms. Can only recommend them.

Great unique experience exploring the street art scene in Bucharest. Learned about how much of the city's street art stemmed from the 1989 revolution, how it's perceived today, and the ways that artists are using street art to direct attention to important issues. Vali was a very passionate and knowledgeable guide! The tour is maybe a bit long, but the art is of course not all centrally located so takes a bit of walking to find. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend.

Great tour, even for people born in Bucharest. A bit long - it really takes 4h, with a short stop for a drink. However, it's worth it if you're into street art.
The tour is in English and provides a lot of information relevant to the tour, both about the history of the city and the artists that have enriched it.

I took the Alternative Bucharest Street Art tour in May 2024 and it was a fantastic way to spend an afternoon. Vali is an enthusiastic, passionate advocate of the arts in the city and is very knowledgeable about the scene and different artists working today. If you're in Bucharest, this tour is a must-do!

My favourite part of this experience was that the guide organised contests (to give answers to his questions or find hidden street art) and people on the tour won small prizes. I recommend wearing sunscreen, hats and staying hydrated if you walk on a hot spring / summer day in Bucharest.

The guide and his gf were very nice people who are very well versed into street art and can recognise any form of graffiti, stickers or writing on the street and can delve deep into interesting bits of information about the artists and the style
