          Great experience
A nice shooting range outside of Kyiv city. The instructor and driver spoke English very well. Nice variety of guns available, extra ammunition aswell. The shooting range has different range sections so it wont get boring when going there more than once. Definetly recommended for gun enthusiasts.

Kind and Responsive Guide in Kyiv
I had a great experience with Alexei in late June 2023. He was very responsive and kind showing me the Yanukowich residence and the aftermath of Russian invasion. His tours are well recommended.

          1st timeers using big guns
Hi me and my friend visited on Friday 22nd of January and had an excellent time there. Alex picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off there afterwards. Very good tutoring on the use of the guns and safety. Having only ever used a couple of small hand guns and air riffles many years ago getting the chance to use military guns was quite an experience. I would highly recommend these guys. Regards Stephen Rolls and Steven Killingworth from England 🇬🇧 .

          Hasta La Vista, baby!
Alex, the guide from Argotour picked me up in front of the hotel Ukraina (behind Maidan). He is a quite sympathetic and cool guy, speaking English well. After one hour drive we arrived at the shooting range. The guide who instructed me about the guns was even an Alex, also speaking English well. He explained everything very understandable. It was my first experience with guns like the Kalashnikov, Colt M4, Hatsan , Glock17, and a sniper gun. You can use between 5 different packages with different guns and different numbers of bullets. I would never thought that it can be so difficult to hold a gun in the right position and that it needs so much concentration and muscle strength. Sometimes I needed a short break during 10 shots. It was an amazing experience. I travelled a lot so far but such an attraction I had the first time here in Ukraine. I had some successful shots which made the attraction much more attractive. The sniper gun was the most I liked. So don’t hesitate if you like to experience a very special option of adrenaline kick. You don’t have to have a very strong body. Concentration and to see the target in the right way are more important. This was something I could do again every time and every time with Argotour!

          Fantastic afternoon
We were picked up in a modern comfortable car by our driver and guide Alex who spoke very good English, he was very friendly and chatty, he informed us of what to expect once we got there. Our instructor was also named Alex who talked us through how to use the 5 guns in our package, he was very informative and patient, due to the fact we were beginners I didn't expect to hit any targets, but with his guidance I surprised myself and did fantastic when using 2 of the guns and even managed to hit 5 targets at 100 metres. Our guide Alex then asked if we would like pictures of us posing with a few of the guns, which he did with our own phones. He then took us back to the location where he picked us up from. Big thankyou to Alex and Alex for an enjoyable and memorable afternoon

Shooting the Breeze..and sometimes the targets
The journey to the range took 40+ mins but time flew by as our guide Alex was a really knowledgeable person to talk to on nearly every subject and very funny too. When we arrived at the range there was a wide array of weapons and our personal shooting instructor (also called Alex) patiently took us through safety protocols and then tutored us on how to shoot a variety of firearms at the targets. Lots of fun and a great way to spend an afternoon

          Awesome and worthy
It was awesome..I took package 2 which goes with 5 guns. And I loved it. It is my first time but I got most of them hit. The tour was awesome and driver was good enough. The instructor however is a gem. I loved everything about this. Though costly but worth it

Our very good and knowledgable guide gave us a very interesting walking tour from the upper Town to charming Podil. In Podil we were taken to the Convent complex and to the Central market. Absolutely reccommendable excursion

Saint Andrew's Church late baroque style was constructed between 1747 and 1754, to a design by the Italian architect Bartolomeo Rastrelli a Russian architect of Italian origin. His major works, including the Winter Palace in Saint Petersburg and the Catherine Palace in Tsarskoye Selo.

The new empress, Catherine II, 1762 dismissed baroque architecture as an old-fashioned "whipped cream", and the aged architect had to retire to Courland where he supervised the completion and decoration of the ducal palaces.

Saint Andrew's Church overlooks the historic Podil neighborhood, situated on a steep hill to which the church gave its current name—Andriyivska Hill. The descent, 720 meters (2,360 ft) in length, is constructed of laid cobblestones and connects Old Kyiv (Upper city) with Podil (Lower city). It starts at the end of Volodymyrska Street and winds down steeply around the Zamkova Hora hill, ending near the Kontraktova Square.

The idea to construct the Saint Andrew's Church came from the Russian Tsaress Elizabeth Petrovna. When she visited Kiev in 1747–1754, she laid the foundation brick of the church with her own hand.

In 1963, Rastrelli's the original plans of Rastrelli's baroque cupolas were uncovered in Vienna, Austria. This made it possible to reconstruct the original images on the building. The church consists of a single dome and five small decorative spires. From the outside façade, Corinthian columns decorate the church, accompanied by additional decorations.

        Baroque Architecture (c.1600-1750)

        Characteristics:

Baroque architecture differs notably from one country to another but with a common aesthetic origin. It ended by becoming designed to create spectacle and illusion. Thus the straight lines of the Renaissance were replaced with flowing curves, while domes/roofs were enlarged, and interiors carefully constructed to produce spectacular effects of light and shade. It was an emotional style, which, wherever possible, exploited the theatrical potential of the urban landscape - as illustrated by St Peter's Square (1656-67) in Rome, leading up to St Peter's Basilica. Its designer, Bernini, one of the greatest Baroque architects, ringed the square with colonnades, to convey the impression to visitors that they are being embraced by the arms of the Catholic Church.

Following the pronouncements made by the Council of Trent on how art might serve religion, together with the upsurge in confidence in the Roman Catholic Church, it became clear that a new style of Biblical art was necessary in order to support the Catholic Counter-Reformation and fully convey the miracles and sufferings of the Saints to the congregation of Europe. This style had to be more forceful, more emotional and imbued with a greater realism. Strongly influenced by the views of the Jesuits (the Baroque is sometimes referred to as 'the Jesuit Style'), architecture, painting, and sculpture were to work together to create a unified effect.

Andrews Descent is beautiful. At the top you have the sublime St Andrews Church, an Italian architect was responsible so you know it will be a feast for your eyes.
Walk down the cobblestone street and browse all the souvenir stalls and shops. Take in the views if you fancy walking up the stairs on a couple of occasions to the viewing areas. Once you get to the bottom you can explore Podil, the old town and historic area of Kyiv, yes Kyiv, not the Russified version Kiev.
Then use the funicular railway to go back up to the top.
Go to Kyiv - it's a fab city!

Lovely walk descending down the Andreevsky path and seeing the murals and all the shops. Starting from the church, the descent takes you all the way down to the old town - with access to restaurants and the big wheel. However, it is a cobblestone walk all the way down - so ladies (and cross dressers!) you'd be advised to leave those heels at home and come prepared in comfortable flats or you may literally trip yourself over!!
