Great trip by Tere!
Apr 2021 • Family
I had a few days alone with my 2 year old daughter and was running out of activities. I talked with some freinds and they pointed me Tereza’s way. She immediately go back to me and had me sorted for a few tours the next morning. We went to the Embera indiginous community first. We showed up and she was greated like family by them. She was even given their traditional (very bright and almost neon colored skirts and while she didnt quite look the part you could tell by their interactions that she was tight with the Embera Indigenous community.) they proceeded to show us their local customs/dances/art and fed us a delicious meal of fried fish and plantain. After which i learned a great way to clean up grease. They have a wooden bowl of water with lime juice and basil. Cuts the grease and smells great.

Once our time was up at the embera community we got back in the boat and headed to monkey island. My daughter was almost as excited as I was. I believe there were 3 species of monkeys we saw and Tere might be as tight with them as she is with the monkeys. As we pulled up she started making these noises and these monkeys all walked out on their branches to say hello. My daughter was fascinated as they jumped from branch to branch, and I’ll say I was as well as they were pulling off stunts olimpians could not get close to.

Out trip had come to an end here and Tere had the boat drop us off at this picturesque dock in the jungle right outside of a town called Gamboa.

Thank you Tere for the attention and showing us these hidden paradises. Great father/daughter trip!!!

Amazing must do experience!

This tour was complete perfection. Everything you would be looking for and more. Tereza, our guide, picked us up from our hotel and we traveled to the Panama Canal. Along the way, Tereza explained her family history as well as the history of Panama. We then embarked on a boat down the canal and to the Monkey islands. This hands down was one of the best experiences of my life. Monkeys jumped on our boats and we saw many types of birds and even a crocodile. We then entered a local village for a meet and greet and to learn about their tribal history. Tereza drove us back to our hotel. Just pure perfection in a day. Thank you!!
