The guide (Wladimir) was very well informed about every station on the route and was able to give satisfactory answers to intermediate questions. His English was also very easy to understand.
The routes were covered with a small, new bus.
The price of 25 € is optionally increased by the additional entrance fee to the monastery (2 €) or the fee for visiting the cave (6 or 7 €). It is definitely worth the money and I can just recommend this tour.
Personal advice: take some food with you. So you can focus on the sights at the stops and use the travel times to eat.

We did the afternoon tour on a sunny day in September. We had limited time in Skopje so this tour interested us as we wouldn't have had the time to do both on our own. The tour guide, Kate, was so lovely and friendly- she was sure to talk to every participant during the tour.

Matka canyon was so beautiful. We opted for the cruise to the cave, like most of the group. The boat vendor accepted euros (thankfully as we hadn't had time to get MKD out before the tour). The cave was smaller than what I expected, so we felt the cruise to the cave was worth it for the cruise alone.

We enjoyed the stop at the small church, as there were cats and dogs hanging around. We had about 15 minutes at the top of Millennium Cross. As there is limited things to see at the top, it was enough time.

Overall, we were so glad we booked this tour

It is a well organized tour. The timetable is not strict and at the same time enough to see the Millennium cross, the Monastery and the Matka canyon without big effort. The price is very affordable also.
I highly recommend it to all travelers visiting the city. Even if you come for a business trip, you can have a nice 4-hour break.
The only negative is that the guide ignored the correct name of the country and he kept calling the country "Macedonia" instead of North Macedonia. That is misinformation for tourists around the world and insult for Greek tourists.

Great affordable tour from Skopje city center to Matka and Vodno. There was no way to reach the Millenium Cross as the cable car 🚠 is closed due to COVID. The price of the tour and amount of time is definitely worth it but our guide talked the entire 4-hrs. Felt obligated to continue turning towards him to show I was engaged and listening but I would have preferred some silence so I could enjoy the sights and beauty of Matka. Definitely book but maybe let the guide know upfront that they don’t need to squeeze in everything from Bc to present

I was so pleased to find Skopje Daily Tours offered group tours to several sights in Macedonia! As a solo traveler, I wanted to make the best use of my time while also not blowing my budget so this was perfect! I was relying on Google Maps to find the meeting spot and had some trouble finding it. The parking lot where the tour meets is at the top of the Kale Fortress. The entrance to the parking lot is across the street from International Balkan University. Matka Canyon is actually really lovely! I really enjoyed the boat tour and the cave was interesting as well. I would advise bringing bug spray if you are at all susceptible to mosquitoes. Those Matka Canyon mosquitoes are no joke! All in all, a good value in terms of both time and money.

I joined my second tour with Skopje Daily Tours, this time half-day with Millennium Cross and Matka Canyon sightseeing. And wow!!! Can't recommend enough. The cable car to Millennium Cross has a scenery view, and Matka Canyon is to die for. Suppppper peaceful and mesmerising. I am happy there weren't many tourists around, as it is expected for this type of tours. What a blast :))

I had Vladimir as my tour guide, for the second time as well, and he is just funny and characteristic. Sometimes he doesn't talk much, if you don't push conversations or ask something, but he is super super friendly and always concerned if people are enjoying the tour.

TIP: Choose a week day, instead of weekends. When it's warmed the Canyon can get pretty busy, as mentioned by Vladimir.

The tour was well-organised and left on time from the Skopje Fortress car park. The van was comfortable though the A/C did not work so it was hot inside. Our guide was excellent and gave us a lot of interesting information along the way. I enjoyed visiting the Millennium Cross, the monastery and Matka Canyon. Definitely worth the cost. I think the time estimate needs to be an hour longer though since it takes some time to drive between places and go on the Matka Canyon boat. The boat was great and takes you to visit a beautiful cave!

My brother and I had such an awesome experience. We had the tour guide to ourselves and he gave us a private tour just the 2 of us they didn’t cancel. The driver/guide was really nice and informative and he showed us around Skopje and gave us all the time we needed to soak up the views and take pictures! Unfortunately we didn’t get to ride the cable car to the millennium cross because it wasn’t operating, but we we got to go see and enter church st. Panteleimon instead which was very cool. We will definitely be returning and booking again with them.
Thank you for a great time and fun experience 🙌🏻

I am not a great one for guided tours - normally I strike off on my own - but after a work conference, I only had a single day in Skopje and this seemed like a good way to make the most of it.

The tour was handled very professionally: payment online was simple, then everything I needed was emailed to me immediately so I could print it out and take it with me. On arrival in Skopje I also saw the tour offices in the Old Bazaar which was of course reassuring that they are an established and professional company.

I was met at the agreed starting location by our guide Tony, and shown into a bus with about 9 other people. Tony was very knowledgeable about Skopje's history and all the details of everywhere we went; he was happy to answer questions, and my co-visitors from other countries said that his English was nice and clear so they could follow it too.

Taking a tour was a really good idea, because I saw far more than I'd ever have managed on my own. Without it, I'd never have known that Skopje is surrounded by really beautiful countryside and absolutely stunning views. Every stop was worth seeing and there were so many photo-worthy spots, especially from the Millennium Cross. Tony took the time to make sure everyone did exactly what they wanted to do, whether that's to take a photo, buy a drink, take a boat trip or visit the frescoes inside the church.

A few points worth being aware of:
- Sensible footwear is advised. This is particularly important if you opt for the boat trip to the caves: the steps within the cave are wet and uneven and the steps up to the approach of the cave are very uneven indeed. Don't even attempt this if you're at all frail of foot. Equally, getting on and off the boat can be a bit precarious - I wouldn't recommend this for anyone elderly or frail. Cleverly, the tour allows for you to choose to sit in the Matka Canyon restaurant for an hour, if you want to cut this part of the trip out, and that did also look like a pleasant option.
- Our guide mentioned that on busy days, police can turn visitors away from Matka canyon as they're trying to preserve the area. I'm not sure what they would have done if this had happened, possibly parked up which would have required an extra km or 2 of walking.
- Photos aren't allowed inside the church with frescoes (a shame but understandable).
- There are toilet facilities at every stop! And an opportunity to buy snacks/drinks at the first stop, the Millennium Cross.
- Take some money for the reconstructed village, because there are craft shops. Could have done with a little bit more time to look around the other outlets.
- There's free wifi all around Mount Vodno, the cable car and the Cross.

All in all I am highly satisfied with the tour. It's provided great memories; everyone was kind and helpful.

I don't often go on organized tours, preferring to explore by myself, but as Canyon Matka and Mt. Vodno are a little out of the way I thought the tour would be more efficient. And indeed it was. The places themselves are very beautiful, I especially enjoyed St. Panteleimon's Church, and the guide Misho (I hope I spell the name right) was communicative and knowledgeable. I really appreciated him being able to provide so much detail about the frescoes in the church. Recommend the tour to fellow travellers who want to do the mentioned sights without the hassle.
