Cetina River Extreme Canyoning Adventure from Split
From US$86.64
Take the plunge for an adventurous day of canyoning on Croatia’s Cetina River during this 6-hour excursion from Split. Challenge yourself during this fun-filled day of swimming, jumping, climbing and rappelling amidst the cliffs, tunnels, and rapids of this beautiful outdoor area, including a visit to Velika Gubavica, the highest waterfall on the river.
What to Expect
Receive a morning pickup from your hotel in the Split city center and transfer for 45 minutes to one hour by minivan to nearby Zadvarje village. When you arrive you’ll receive all necessary canyoning gear, including a wetsuit, helmet, lifevest, and harness, and get a safety briefing from your instructors.
After another quick drive and hike down to the starting point, you’ll begin your canyoning adventure on the Cetina River. During the course of your excursion you’ll use a variety of techniques including swimming, jumping, sliding, and rappelling to navigate through the river’s collection of obstacles, which include crystal clear pools, fast-flowing rapids, vertical cliff walls, and slick water-covered inclines.
During your excursion you’ll visit Velika Gubavica, a 160-foot (50-meter) waterfall where you’ll enjoy a heart-pounding roped descent to the scenic lake that lies just below the cascade. Take a break to enjoy swimming and cliff jumping before continuing to your second “abseiling” (descent) location, another 65-foot (20-meter) drop. At the end of the excursion, a driver will be waiting to transport you back to your hotel in Split.

Enough adrenaline for newbie and quite some for amateur.

Not too far from the city and easy to find. Instructions are thorough and hosts really seem to enjoy what they do. It included from sweating inside the suit to getting your **** chilled in relatively cold water. Anyhow, every of those 4h was worth...More

I'm not sure. They picked us up in the center of Split. Next to the fountain. Food isn't available. So I suggest (recommend really) you eat in front. We departed Split around 11 am and we got back around 6pm.
