- Paradise2918840 contributionsWell recommended!"Split Walking Tour with Diocletian Palace (Eng)" Ivan gave our small group a very enjoyable and informative tour of Split and Diocletian’s Palace. He is knowledgeable and had a good way of presenting the history. This tour is affordable and a very good use of shore time -- would recommend to friends!Written 10 November 2024
- susanhL8047WJ0 contributionsGuide hard to hear, no microphone. We stopped to take a picture and he took off and left us.Missed last 20 minutesThe guide was knowledgeable but hard to hear , no microphone. Stopped to take a quick picture of the basement where game of thrones dragons was filmed and guide left us behind. Literally took one photo and he was gone! Missed last 20 -30 mi of tour.Written 3 November 2024
- H3877TElindar0 contributionsReally interesting tour with local guideA really interesting tour with a guide who lived in Trogir, spoke very good English and was easy to hear and understand. As well as the medieval history he was able to talk about more recent times, for instance local employment and his own experience of living there.Written 2 November 2024
- nickwK4913XX0 contributionsExcellentExcellent. Great value for money. Very informative and at a reasonable pace. The guide brought lots of knowledge and insight. Also gave us tips for areas which are reasonably priced to eat. Definitely recommend this tour.Written 30 October 2024
- B9345IRjillm0 contributionsA perfect introAn ideal way to start a stay in the city, we had arrived the night before and chose to avoid the palace knowing we had a tour first thing and were glad to experience it for the first time with so much information provided. Our tour guide Jakov was very knowledgeable, approachable and entertaining, even providing recommendations for the rest of our visit.Written 26 October 2024
- C400OOsuec0 contributionsSlightly disappointingRainy day for our tour which didn’t help but we were a bit disappointed with the tour. The guide in Split was excellent so it started well then he handed our group over to be driven by van to Trogir. The driver was giving occasional insights into the surrounding area but we couldn’t hear at all in the back seat. The van was very uncomfortable with poor suspension. In Trogir the guide was interesting but we ended up with about 45 minutes to get lunch and have free time in Trogir. As a group we all wanted more free time but the tour is apparently set up for cruise visitors who have limited time. None of our group were on a cruise ship but we didn’t get the opportunity to request a later pick up. We have done better tours in the pastWritten 25 October 2024
- nicolajanef20180 contributionsBrilliant tour! Would recommend!Brilliant tour! The guide was very informative and answered all of our questions. The pace wasn’t too fast or too slow but we saw all of the highlights. Would recommend!Written 25 October 2024
- David E0 contributionsSplitThe tour guide was prompt, introduced herself. The guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Split. We really enjoyed the tourWritten 23 October 2024
- BindiiR0 contributionsGreat introduction to SplitAntonia was a great guide and gave a fantastic first impression of Split. She explained the history of the city succinctly and in great detail. Her tour of the Diocletian's Palace was also very informative and helped me decide where else to revisit in my own time. A great introduction to the city.Written 23 October 2024
- ghabesl0 contributionsKnowledgeable and humorous guideOur guide yesterday was very entertaining and very knowledgeable. It truly was an enjoyable experience where we learned a lot.Written 21 October 2024
- 470bradk0 contributionsDon't Miss This One!Incredible tour! Our guide, Ivan, was funny, knowledgeable, hard working, and able to provide both the history, and the ethos of Split, making it one of the best tours we've ever had.Written 20 October 2024
- pglejm0 contributionsGood tour, hard to hear our guideWe had already walked around the palace a little so we could get a feel for the area and to make sure we knew where to meet! Our group was so large that we got split into 3. I don’t remember our guide’s name, young man, pleasant. We covered a lot but it was hard to hear him. It wasn’t because of too many tourists, it was not that crowded. He just spoke low and rather monotone. Not one person had a question the entire tour which is kind of a clue that you’ve lost your crowd. I guess my review is more for the company to remind their guides to read their audience. Sorry for saying this.Written 17 October 2024
- Alison S0 contributionsExcellent tour of Diocletian Palace with JakovJakov gave a superb tour of the Diocletian Palace. Our guide was truly one of the best tour guides that we have experienced in many many tours around the world. His background was in teaching history and English in the Split schools, So he was able to take the group from the big overview down to details and interesting anecdotes in an understandable and a very enjoyable way. The 90 minutes passed very quickly, we learned a lot, and we enjoyed it thoroughly!Written 13 October 2024
- Teeekaay0 contributionsA really excellent informative and interesting tour of the palace. Recommended!Slavko was incredibly enthusiastic and very knowledgeable not only about Split but also about Roman history as well. A great sense of humour and a real desire to teach made the whole trip extremely enjoyable. He is very personable and very keen to answer questions and educate. I could not rate him higher.Written 11 October 2024
