About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Zaradixon450 contributions100% RecommendIf you are looking for a few hours of relaxing and exploring this is for you!! We had a lovely day out, the skipper and the guy driving the boat was very professional and friendly!! When we got onto the boat they introduced themselves, and we headed to our first location, this took 30 minutes, a small island with stunning views and a lovely beach. Then it was time to go to the Blue Lagoon, which was also beautiful, every-time we stopped the skipper gave us helpful information on the area and when we got back on she always ensured we had a good time (which we definitely did!!) After this we headed to the old historic town where we had an hour to explore and get a bite to eat, once finished here we had another 30min boat ride back to Split. This tour was 9:30-2 which is great time and duration which everyone would enjoy, I definitely recommend ❤️Written 10 August 2023
- Mrusso70 contributionsAmazingSplit was quite a surprise. Really beautiful, excellent tour, great time with Joseph , our boat skipper, he really knows everything about Split. Amazing time in Blue Lagoon, also visiting the cozy town of Trogir, and still enough time to spend in Split town. Recommendation to skip last Island a spend all time at Blue Lagoon. Highly recommended. Regarding Blue Cave Tours i would day it didn't worked for us as an agency but more as a 'broker' , we should expect more follow up, not even a message after tour to ask us if it was ok. What really made our day was the Skipper Joseph!Written 23 July 2022
- ana0704b0 contributionsOutstandingIf I could choose the best day it would be this one. Blue lagoon left me speechles. Such a good organization from staff. They took it to the next level with their knowledge. Thank You for improving my day!Written 19 June 2021
- SMW25780 contributionsDisappointing circuit surrounded by other boats doing the same.We had booked this before we left the UK and didn’t realise these trips were so run of the mill. The tour happened in a different order to the advertised schedule which meant we were on the beach in complete shade - not a huge problem because to be honest - the beach and the lagoon were absolutely choc-a-bloc with similar boats doing versions of the same trip. If you can’t swim in the sea without hearing persistent dance music or smelling cigarette smoke, it’s not really that magical! Being in a boat is always great on the med and Trogir was worthy of a longer visit. Ultimately though we regretted this booking.Written 24 August 2020

- rachelb6670 contributionsLovely speedboat tourWe booked through bluecavetours.com and after being a little unsure which tour company to book with. We paid a deposit through paypal and then settled in cash when we arrived for our 7.30am sail. Lucy, the guide, and George, the skipper, we're great, very knowledgeable and made the day easy and fun. A very punctual tour, they got us to the blue caves early so we only had to wait 5 minutes before getting in. They gave us plenty of time at each stop for swimming and sunbathing. A fun ride in a speedboat holding 12 people with an enclosed section to protect from the wind, but space at the back to have the wild, windy and wet ride if you desire. A luxurious boat the was immaculately clean with a toilet on board and an endless supply of cold bottled water. The ride was bumpy, considerably when we on our way back to split. The ride was a great deal of fun but may not be suitable for those that won't enjoy a bumpy ride. An unmissable day that showed the beauty of the islands in a single trip.Written 16 June 2019
- JulieRocheleau0 contributionsMust do if you're in Split Croatia!Ella was our sailor. She was amazing... Punctual, full of information and so so friendly!! We were given the chance to swim all day long and it was the best thing ever!!! The only spot we didn't swim was the blue cave as it's not permitted. All day long, amazing sites, spectacular swim spots and a truly relaxing day on the water... Some of the people on our tour didn't participate in much as just sat on the boat. If you're going to do this, go for it! The water is crystal clear turquoise excellence!!! Amazing experience, truly wonderful guide!!! Highly highly recommend!Written 19 August 2018
- Saaria0 contributionsNice with some areas for improvementWe went for this cruise in October 4th 2017 organised by dubrovnikboatexcursions.com. The trip included the transfers to and from the port, drinks and lasted 14.00-18.30. Enough for the kids that get bored after 30 minutes in one place. We went to Romantic cave (to get there you need to dive under the rocks!), blue cave and tree cave/canion cave. None of those included the guidance from the folks on the boat, only general directions under which stone you have to dive in to make it to the other side. Health and safety rather non existent, besides you really have to be a good swimmer (and diver) to enjoy it. My kids are both nevertheless it was rather scary for them but they tried. Water in Adriatic is rather cool at this time of year so better get a foam suit rather than bikini and a warm jacket to shield from the wind on the boat. All in all the staff nice and friendly but with no recognition that some of those activities may be dangerous (or exciting-depending on what your skills in water are). Wear rock shoes as Croatia in general is rocky and islands built of volcanic rocks quite sharp. The sandy beach at the end of the trip is a treat but the sun is law by then. All in all highly recommended with few "buts"Written 4 October 2017
- Rebecca C0 contributions5 island tourHad a fantastic day on a beautiful boat, visiting some amazing sights and beaches. Our guide was great and gave great advice about places to swim etc. We loved the Blue Cave, Blue Lagoon, Jerolim and Hvar. Fantastic swimming and beaches and great boat. A holiday highlight.Written 20 August 2017
- Brooke G0 contributionsPoorDon't get me wrong the blue cave was beautiful and I highly recommend it but that was about the most exciting 5 mins of the 12 hour day. Firstly we were told to meet at 7:45am for a 8am departure. We didn't leave until 8:20am. On the way to the blue cave all the other boats were over taking us. It would be a suggestion to have a more powerful boat to cater for all the people on it. We arrived late to the blue caves resulting in a 2 hour wait time to go into the caves. This now put us behind schedule and our crew decided to take the next THREE stops out to catch up with time. I was looking forward to seeing 2016 best beach in Croatia and seeing the green caves as this is what also sold the tour to me to go with this company. Instead we went for a quick swim near a random island then headed for hvar as planned to the LAST stop. After Hvar the crew decided to kill time before going back to split and pull over to a little island that consisted of dirty water, a cafe, supermarket and pharmacy. We then headed back to split. For the price I paid and the iteniary advertised this was definitely not value for money. Very disappointed.Written 13 July 2017
- cocoschnapps0 contributionsBold and Beautiful Blue heavenLoved the cave the beautiful water is so romantic. Not going to spoil it hut theres a really cool suspense about the place and a shock.Written 11 July 2017
- Felipe D0 contributionsAmazingIn general, the tours take a day long and include other places than the Blue Cave. The Bluce Cave is in the island of Vis. It is very beautiful and you visit it in a ride of a few minutes in a boat of 10-15 passangers. You have to take a number and wait until they call your turn. If you are in a group, you should take the numbers together so you can pick the same boat. You cannot swim inside the cave, but the place definitely worth a visit. While you wait for you number, you may swim around the island and they have a caffeteria where you can buy some food and drinks.Written 2 March 2017
- ines7417417410 contributionsSuper tour,l've had so much fun and enjoy all the places i've seenIt was like something magic....blue cave is amazing, green cave and stiniva are soooo beautiful...breathtaking and Hvar is amazing city but energy..you never felt before!!!!Written 10 August 2016
- Gracefitz0 contributionsWould do again and again and againAmazing. Staff were friendly and enthusiastic. We went to Blue Caves, Vis, Green Cave, Budikovac, Parmigana and Hvar. These places were all stunning. We had a private speed boat and plenty of time at each place unlike other tours. Optional lunch as well. Beautiful swimming places and scenery. Would go again and have recommended it to everyone I have spoken too.Written 25 July 2016

Excellent tour, unfortunately due to rough seas we were not in the Blue Cave and that is the reason to repeat this tour. The excellent skippers Dula and Toni are responsible for making this tour even better, they quickly organized a change of route, a tour of Hvar, Pakleni Otok, Čiovo and the Blue Lagoon. A trip to enjoy the sea, the sun and the beauty of the island. An experienced team that turns even rough seas into fun. My recommendations for Split Daily Tours Split and skippers Dulu and Tony.

A great way to spend a day at sea, hopping from island to island.
Choppy sea to start with, was handled impressively well by skilful and friendly skippers Dule and Toni. Great guys!
The Blue Cave was breathtaking - a memerizing nature at its best!
Hvar was equally stunning and total gem.
Don't miss it! The tour is an absolute must- do!

Had the pleasure of being a passenger to dusko and bogo- they gave us free reign of the music, to which me and my friend managed to live our long lost dream of being a DJ in a foreign country. We did also catch them dancing to our music (I hope they don’t give up their day job) on a serious note, they had good banter and made what was already a stunning day, even more enjoyable. Thankyou!

This was the worst trip!! We reserved on line prior to getting to split and paid a deposit. As soon as we paid the balance we were told that we will be going to the green not the blue caves but ended up going to neither! The crew were obnoxious and inconsiderate. I understand the ocean can be choppy but not through the entire trip. Passengers were jumping off the sears and a few fell to the floor without any apology or remorse from the driver. In face he told someone on the trip that if they can drive better to go ahead and try. We were also forced to eat at a sub par overpriced restaurant in milna. We were stuck there for 1.5 hours with nothing to do as there were no attractions or shops to see. It was an obvious kick back for the driver in our crew of 2. Also we were told to swim and not offered any safety equipment or snorkeling equipment as the tour description falsely states. At the end of the trip only some of us were given water after asking for it although it was supposed to be provided. The crew should be aware that being polite, enthusiastic and kind will result in tips and further referrals. The kind of behavior and dismissal exhibited by this crew does not! I will be warning both friends and family to avoid this company

The wqter was really gorgeous. we didnt get any water or snorkeling equipment though. other than that it was great!! the boat ride was fun and had a few exciting moments we all laughed at. Unfortunately we didn't make it to the Blue caves or Hvar as the weather was too choppy. In hindsight I wish the travel company had cancelled & rescheduled.

This was one of the best things we did on our trip to Croatia! we fell in love with every single place we stopped at would definitely go back to any of the stops in a heart beat.
A bit about each stop…
First stop was the blue cave which was just stunning, like nothing I’ve ever seen before. We were lucky that there was a very short wait before getting to go inside (early April) as we were told in peak season some people wait a few hours in line to go in. It’s very small inside and only their own little boats are small enough to fit in the entrance (even then you need to duck down to the height of the boat sides so it can fit through). But it is worth it because the water glows and is magical.
The next stop was the fishing village of Komiža where we stopped for breakfast and had a little explore. There is a fab little bakery tucked on a corner just off the harbour which served some great cheese and bacon bread swirls. There were a few cats in the village who were all very sweet and friendly, they loved attention. And the people were all very friendly too. I would definitely recommend getting breakfast to go and using the rest of the stop time (about 30/40 mins total) to have a wander round the little streets though it is a lovely harbour to sit and have a coffee if that’s what you prefer.
We had a very quick stop at the Stivena Cove (when it’s warmer I believe they stop here for longer so you can get out and have a swim/snorkel) though it was a great little stop.
Veliki Budikovac was a stunning stop! The sand beach with its perfectly clear water was stunning, and it felt like we were on a tropical island! There are sea urchins in some of the rock pools so be cautious of that though that’s tucked off on one side and they’re very easy to sea in the clear waters. We even saw a starfish in the sand. Again, take some time to wander along the paths deeper into the area, lots of tropical trees and cacti taller than you which makes you feel like you’ve stepped into the tropics. A stunning place to visit.
Lastly we spent two hours stopped in Hvar. We decided to take the trek up to the fortress at the top which although it looks like a very long and steep hike it wasn’t bad at all, none of us are particularly fit people and we’re all wearing crocs but we managed it fine. Definitely worth the walk as there are some stunning views all along the path up and even more at the top! It’s a stunning place to visit and wherever you stop for lunch they are amazing hosts. We went to a steak house where they gave us a shot of something when we arrived (they did explain it but I can’t remember), free starters and then a shot of after dinner wine also, it was priced great and the service was fantastic. Another great island I would 100% go back to explore more.
Besides the fantastic stops, the sights on the actual boat are equally amazing. The hosts/tour guides are brilliant, super friendly and it is overall just a fantastic day out. (we were the only boat at the start of the tour that didn’t have life jacket which made us slightly nervous, but even though we were speeding though the Adriatic Sea we felt very safe). I would recommend this as a must do tour for anyone visiting Croatian!!!
One tip: even if it’s a warm day, it is very cold on the speed boat (due to the wind and speed your going) so bring a big jumper or coat and maybe a towel to wrap round your legs if your wearing shorts. Also lots of sun cream, we burnt to a crisp on the boat!!!

This tour was certainly the highlight of our holiday! Great music played whilst on the speedboat 😊 The blue caves were breath taking and the small fishing village and Hvar were great (luckily we had great weather which was an added bonus). The tour guide was lovely and very informative. I cannot recommend this trip enough- thanks Maria for organising this excursion trip for us.

This was definitely one of the highlights of our holiday in Split. Very easy to book, very clear explanation of the route and the captain Ivan was an excellent sailor and very knowlegable about the islands and the caves. All the experience was much better than what we asked for, with great guides and equipment for snorkelling and waterproof jackets available. Definitely recommend!! Ana and Helder 🐟 👍😊
