- TheresaT6060 contributionsNice vantage point from the seaGreat tour and lovely guides. If you are unfamiliar with the area then this is a great tour to see the city walls from the ocean. We debated just renting a kayak on our own, which you can do for less money, but I am glad we picked the tour. Next time I would try on my own though at a more leisurely pace. You do have to keep up with the group so keep that in mind if you have any mobility issues.Written 9 September 2024

- geconant0 contributionsAn incredible tour of Dubrovnik and its social and architectural changes over time. This tour was incredibly good. One thing that distinguishes this tour from most other tours we’ve had is the amazing extent of historical information the tour guide gave us. He covered events and information from the last 1,500 years or so. It was fascinating to see the history of Dubrovnik and the many ways it was socially advanced compared with countries to both the east and the west. He was also very knowledgeable about the transition in architecture and art over hundreds of years. He brought the city to life for us. We heartily recommend him and the tour.Written 8 September 2024

Our guides Dom & Rom were great fun & they were knowledgeable about the history of the area too. We were a family of two adults with two late teens, we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience & would definitely recommend.Written 8 September 2024

We had a great couple of hours with Branko as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and made the tour really fun. We loved seeing all the filming locations and hearing his stories about interacting with the cast members - he’s a real fan!
Part of the tour took place in Fort Lawrence which had a small additional fee. My top tip would be to buy tickets for the Walls or the City Pass (even up to 2-3 days before) prior to this tour as they both give you access to the fort without having to pay on the day.
Would definitely recommend!

We had a great experience. Our guide did a very nice job explaining all the scenes and answering our questions. We were with a group of 7 people which I think was the perfect group size. I really liked the atmosphere that was created by our guide (Marko). For example, he made a small competition in answering his GoT questions. He also impersonated the different GoT characters in specific filming locations. Even my girlfriend who hasn’t seen a single GoT episode enjoyed it.
The opportunity to take a photo at the iron throne is a nice extra. I do however recommend to also take a picture with the iron throne in the lokrum island since that is an official replica provided by HBO (more detailed). Nevertheless it’s a nice extra. Would recommend! The duration of 2 hours is also great.

Blanko was a guide and his enthusiasm for the subject matter was infectious. He was clearly not just a guide ,but a massive fan of the show. Which added to our enjoyment of the tour. It was greatseeing wheresome of the more infamous scenes were shot. Along with the cheats they used to compile some scenes. My daughter who is 13 has not seen the ahow ,but still had a great time. Just bear in mind the tour does not include the entrance to the Fort which coys 150 kuna or consider a city pass for better value. The ticket can also be used against entry to the city walls.

Dear Beechbuzz,
Thank you for your review! You are right, Branko is crazyyy about GOT!
Regarding the Fort of St Lawrence entrance tickets, in 2022 it is 100 kn per person (cca 13-14 Eur), can be paid in Kunas or by credit card upon entering the fort. This is the fort that we visit on our GOT tour.
You can later use this ticket for a discount of 100 kn towards the 250 kn city walls entrance tickets (that way you pay walls only 150 kn instead of 250). But you only have 72h to do that.
If you have Dubrovnik Card, you can use that to enter the fort or walls free of charge.
Kind regards,

Get on a tour with Ivan the cheesemaker- he knows his stuff! You should hope so, him having watched the entire series numerous times! Booked this on impulse with this company and was not disappointed. Lots of fun and interesting facts about the show, weaved with a bit of Dubrovnik’s history which was welcomed. Group size was small which was also good given the current situation and the time flew by which is always a good sign, and in fact we overran by about 25 mins which is rare as it is often the other way round. Ivan also had good tips about where to eat/ save a few pounds so overall was good value for money.

I did this tour with my sister and mother in August 2020 with Davor as our tour guide (reminded me of Ser Davos). There weren't many tourists because of the pandemic so there was only 5 of us on the tour but Davor was so enthusiastic with loads of great local insider information about the filming of the show. My sister and I are fans of the show but my mother has never watched it but has heard bits and pieces but she enjoyed the tour just as much as we did. You could tell Davor was a huge fan and included general information about dubrovnik as well as Game of Thrones and took us around great scenic sights including king's landing, Blackwater bay, the shame steps and ending with a photo on the Iron Throne. So much fun, highly recommend!

This is a great experience for GoT fans and for anyone wanting a fun walking tour of Dubrovnik's Old City too. Our guide Branko was very entertaining and full of good stories about when the series was filming in Dubrovnik. He also has some special, fun behind the scenes pics that are one of a kind!!

Our guide Davor was great! He is an eloquent and interesting speaker with a great sense of humour, pleasant voice and fluent in english. You won't be looking at your phone while he is talking! He is a huge GOT fan and knows facts you cannot find online. He explained every GOT scene with photos (where it is and how it was done) with very interesting facts about the filming process. We had 10 minutes free time to take pictures with a nice view from Lovrjenac. This tour was the highlight of our day.

The tour was incredible! Jelena (our guide) was a local that could tell you anything about everything! The way she tells her stories are funny, interactive and she spends a bit time with everyone separately (by talking, asking questions or taking your pictures at beautiful sights). You get to know one another and this makes it more personal. Which is great! She just doesn't show you the filming sights, but also tells a lot of interesting facts about the actors, the making (and struggles) of scenes and more. In short: interactive, very interesting stories and a plus that Jelena is a local! The tour is over before you know it! Thanks a lot for this amazing tour!

Branko had such knowledge and enthusiasm for Game of Thrones that even I (who have never watched an episode) enjoyed it! He didn’t just tell us facts, but asked questions and opinions on characters and scenes. It was a very engaging and interesting tour.
He said that going this time of year (April) is better than the summer as queues to get to the fort can be an hour long so I’m pleased we went when we did. Hardly anyone around!

Dear Amy S,
Thank you! We always love getting a great feedback, but we are especially fond of the reviews for our GOT tour from people that have not seen the show, we hope we gave you the bug to watch it now! ;) April is an intro into the season, so yes, it is not that busy and we hope more people will visit Dubrovnik then instead of ie. July or August...
Kind regards,
Maris

What a fantastic birthday present. A private tour through King's Landing with the one and only Branko. We were quite entertained as he recounted stories with the cast and crew of Game of Thrones, made the series come to life as we were enveloped in the scenes, and recounted numerous historical events that occurred in and around Dubrovnik!

Dear Audrey and Charlie Grosenick,
Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your tour with our Branko! We reduced the minimum requirements from 4 people to 2 for each tour this year, due to Corona, so it happens sometimes that the 2 lucky guests get a private experience at a bargain price. We are very glad that you loved this whole experience! Thank you!
Hvala i lijep pozdrav

If we want to stay within the walls before or following the GOT tour, do we need to purchase an additional "walls" ticket, and if so, can we do that through this site and do we receive a discount since we would already have a GOT ticket?
Written 20 February 2020
However there is a charge to walk along the top of the walls. Do tour first - I don’t recall but I think there was a discount
Written 20 February 2020
Shal we buy dubrovnik card in order to be able to enter all of the destinations mentioned in the tour? If no? How much will it cost to enter the walls, fort and other destinations? Noting that we are not interested in other museums included in the card
Written 14 October 2019
We bought tickets to walk the wall the day before the tour and that allowed us to enter the castle for free. Im not sure what the Dubrovnik card is either.

Hello, myself and my partner will be visiting old town tomorrow and weren't sure of the time we will be there. Is it possible to meet at the meeting point and ppay for tickets there? Thank you
Written 19 September 2019
I think you will be able to do that. People were being added to tours by just showing up the day we did it. They don’t seem to limit the size of the groups.
Written 20 September 2019
I would like to know how many people are generally in a tour group and also, what is the difference between the normal tour and the 'Winter' option?
Thanks.
Written 7 July 2019
There were about 10 of us in the group, The tour lasted about three hours. Not familiar with the winter option.
