We highly recommend this tour. Goran was an excellent guide - friendly, helpful and patient. We saw a lot and learnt many things. It was good to experience with a local and be off the beaten tourist track. Planning and communication before the tour was excellent.

My wife and I usually travel independently. And when we travel to Europe in the summer, we usually rent cars. But when I realized that to see more than one island and have a car was going to be very impractical in Croatia, I needed a local travel company to advise and help us with the ferry arrangements. Goran gave me great advice and helped us hire a driver from Dubrovnik to Split, a guide for Diocletian's palace, and best of all, made all the ferry reservations for us from Split to Bol and from Bol to Hvar and from Hvar back to Dubrovnik. Additionally, he met us at the airport in Dubrovnik when we arrived which was extra helpful since our luggage was not on the plane we arrived on. So Goran made sure that we did everything the proper way to file a lost luggage report there at the airport. His fees were clear and transparent, and entirely reasonable. The three different drivers and the Split guide that he selected for us were top-notch too.

Ivan was an excellent host/guide!!! He was not only friendly and patient, but Ivan was very knowledgeable about the history/stories of the different places of attraction that we visited. One of Ivan's many talents as an actor helped us appreciate some of the places he performed previously. Ivan was not only accommodating with our itinerary changes, but he also graciously invited us to his family home for local (non-commericalized) tasting of fresh figs, pomegranate, grapes, Olives...a special inclusion that made our Dubrovnik/Ston visit an even more memorable one. We enjoyed coffee, wine, oysters, tapas breaks between our visits. Feel free to communicate your preferences to Ivan, as he kept assuring us that it was alright for us to take on a leisurely pace in the tour. We enjoyed a relaxed and meaningful experience than to rush through all the places of attraction.

We had a wonderful day with Goran, our guide, who took us everywhere south of Dubrovnik from the war torn coastal resort area to the medevil outpost fortress at the border and the fertile valley in between! He was very knowledgeable, articulate and engaging and showed his pride in his country and profession. There was still time at the end of the day for a walking tour of the old walled city of Dubrovnik!! A not to be missed off the beaten path tour of Southern Croatia!! 🇭🇷

We had arranged to meet Goran at 10AM. Our son had a Game of Thrones tour at 10:15 at the old city gate. We’d asked Goran if he could come 15 minutes early and take our son to the city gate. Sure! The logistics were a bit tricky as private cars are not allowed on the wharf. But Goran and I texted until we converged. He drove us all to the Pile Gate and dropped our son off. Goran was very knowledgeable about the history of the area (and he’s a bit of a philosopher). He mentioned that the fortifications around Dubrovnik were designed to protect the city, but the only time the city was ever attacked was in 1991. When we asked for more detail, he showed us what had been a resort area before the attack, as well as the fortress overlooking the city. We came back to town, picked up our son, then went to a great place for lunch. His knowledge of the city and the complicated politics was both comprehensive and interesting. Highly recommended.
