About
This 2 days tour includes hiking to Borzhava range and walking around Synevyr Lake. One of the most favourite thing is visiting the Brown Bear Rehabilitation Center in Synevyr National Park which is located in the western part of Gorgany mountains. Synevyr Lake is the biggest mountain lake in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains (989 meters asl). Polonyna Borzhava is one of the largest mountain ranges in the Ukrainian Carpathians and has some of the most picturesques vistas. A one-day hike here is an easy and enjoyable walk. After one-day hike you have the rest in a comfortable lodge with tasty local food and sauna (optional). We offer this trip for weekends, but you can choose any day for travelling provided that there are train tickets available or you can order this tour with transportation by private vehicle.

      Great!
Professional company. Hike was not difficult, suitable for new hikers, although more experienced hikers might want a bigger challenge. But overall great experience. Also company has okay quality gear (tents, walking sticks and similar) for rent at cheap price, you can consider not bringing your own.

      Extremely flexible
Karpaty Travel are Taras, a grizzled mountaineer with a heart of gold and a good sense of humor, and Krystyna, a jovial young interpreter. We went on the tour: Mysteries of Skelevsky Bedesky: Lopata Mountain, and it was covered in snow even in April, and made for a great, technical ascent with gorgeous snowscapes. They organized a private tour for me during the pandemic, and to be fair to them and myself, it was much more expensive than their normal prices, which again, to be fair, are much lower than most tour companies. Couple things to note: 1: I think they understated the difficulty of the hikes a little, only because they are both in such good physical condition. 2: They were EXTREMELY flexible, and went far beyond the listed tour package to ensure I felt I was getting enough for my money. 3: They don't accept paymend by credit card, though this could change in the future. Otherwise I would happily go hiking with them every week, and recommend them to everyone.

      Good one day outdoor activity
Although the travelling time took around 6 hours in total, the hiking experience was good. The views were pretty good. Our tour guide Valentin sent us warm reminders in advance, keeping close contact with us. He also has good english so that we didn’t have any communication problem.

Great hiking tour with gorgeous panorama views
For sure, you need good hiking shoes, because some interceptions of the mostly steep trails were rocky and slightly slippery and: you will master 800 meters of altitude difference. There were breaks during the ascent and descent. These were very useful to calm the pulse. But the hiking tour to Mount Pikuy is not only a challenge for your physical fitness. It is also a great chance to take gorgeous photos of the panorama views from the top of Mount Pikuy and the ridge. And it is quite probable that you meet other hikers. Valentyn, the tour guide, was were attentive and offered delicious Ukrainian sausages and vegetables for lunch at Mount Pikuy. We started at 8 a.m. and were back at 8 p.m. It takes about 2,5 hrs from Lviv to Bilasovytsya, the starting point of the ascent. Be aware of possibly strong winds around Mount Pikuy.

Best day in Ukraine with Karpaty Travel
This is a lovely family run agency with professional, knowledgeable guides and fantastic customer service. Even though no other travelers had signed up for the Parashka trip (poor weather), they took me along with a couple guides in training. I learned more in that day about the area and mountains than on any other similar hike Ive done elsewhere in the world. After the hike, they did an impromptu stop for me to see a cave monastery. Their warmth and genuineness made it feel like a family outing The communication before and after the hike (reminding me to check for ticks!) was stellar. I had the pleasure of traveling with owner Teras and his equally well informed and capable English speaking guide Nazar. I am planning on returning to do a multi-day with them in the further reaches of the Carpathians. I would highly recommend staying a day or two more in Lviv to do an excursion with them.

      Parashka Mountain
It was a great hike, but pretty difficult. It was labelled as an intermediate difficulty, but for someone who is in decent shape, office worker and hasnt done much hikes it can be a challenge. The trail that we went though had torny brambles, 45° slopes, and can be kind of chilly towards the top which is about a mile straight up. I do think its intermediate level, but i also wore some vaans sneakers which wasnt ideal and may have injured my knee through the descent. This is all to say its still worth it, there is a challenge and a reward of nature. the only down side was a bunch of loud teens at the top which, to me, ruined the tranquility.

      Karpaty
This summer we went to Karpaty. It is wonderful place. You enjoy it. Fresh air, beautiful view, great mountains and local traditions make this region interesting for trips. We stayed in small village Lazeshina and went to Solotvino, Bukovel, Yaremcha. We saw mountains revers, waterfall, small houses on big or small hills. The weather was change. Every day was rainy and sunny. So we took raincoat when we went for a walk. We excited our trip.

Wonderful Borzhava hiking trip with Karpaty Travel
Where to begin? Our hiking trip in Borzhava was a top experience! First and foremost, Borzhava is a beautiful region, allowing for a never ending stream of astonishing vistas. All you want to do is soak in the beauty and expanse of the landscapes, hour after hour. When it comes to organization and guidance, Karpaty travel did an amazing job. They combine professionality and organzation skills with a very personal, warm and enthusiastic approach. Our guide was very well prepared and always found the balance between taking the lead and engaging us (as clients) in the wonderful art of self-reliant camping. I would definitely book future trips to the Carpathians with Karpaty Travel!

Private family tour with young and old
Karpaty travel created an unforgettable tour for our 3 generational family spanning 80 years. They created a custom tour of hikes and cultural activities, with opportunities for the young children to make pottery and lizhnyky (wool blankets), a stop at an animal preserve, and memorable hikes, including one to Pysanyj Kamin. We had to make some last minute changes due to the needs of our difficult-to-cater-to age groups, but they were happy to oblige us and make things work. Tanya was a super tour guide, the driver did an excellent job, and all of the cultural guides were also excellent. Their prices were reasonable and vey straightforward. We highly recommend this tour company.

Karpaty Travel did a wonderful job accommodating my requests and interests for several wonderful days of hiking. I had a strict timeline and they were able to work with me on what I wanted to see on the dates that I needed. The prices were very reasonable for solo hiking and the guides did a fantastic job. Amazing Lviv City Tour
With Karpaty.Travel we made an amazing 5-hour city tour through Lviv with an excellent guide. In consultation with the guide, Olha from Karpaty.Travel arranged a tour program exactly according to our wishes. Our friendly guide Ihor really knows everything about Lviv and could tell it in an interesting way. He show us the most important things to see in the city centre and drove us around by his van to see all interesting points around the city. Also a visit to the Lviv Beer museum was included in the program and (upon our request) he takes us even to a bunker with an huge network of underground corridors. Thanks to all interesting fact he told us during the tour, we have to visit Lviv again as 2 days was really too short to see all of this exiting city! :-) Olha also supported us in our trip through the Carpathians by some good advices and contacting some local establishments.

Fantastic "A Journey to Hutsuls" Tour
My two friends and I had an incredible experience on Karpaty Travel's "A Journey to Hutsuls" tour. Everything from the communication before the tour in planning our trip, to the personalized itinerary itself, to our tour guide and driver was just perfect. The company was also very accommodating to me as a vegetarian, making sure there was plenty for me to eat at each stop. We saw many beautiful and interesting things and learned so much about this region of Ukraine. I would highly recommend Karpaty Travel for anyone interested in exploring the nature or culture of the Carpathians.

Sehr empfehlenswert!
