Christmas Lunch at the Blue Boar
Tried Christmas lunch at the blue boar last year and ordered Turkey. I was disappointed when presented with Turkey roll rather than carved meat from the breast. This year I ordered the beef and it was like boot leather. So tough it was inedible. Vegetables were fine but the quality of the beef was so poor it spoilt our lunches. We did get a small refund but at over £105 per head for Christmas lunch I expected more. Won’t be going back.

Private Boat Tour is a Must
We booked a private tour around the Bay of Kotor for our wedding anniversary and highly recommend going private. You get to choose which islands and villages on the bay you’d like to visit. When there are multiple tourists boats docked at the Lady of the Rock near Perast, you’ll appreciate having the option to take photos of the church from your boat and then move along. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Boating around the bay and enjoying the gorgeous scenery and stunning architecture is a relaxing way to see the region. The blue caves were cool, but if it’s a cool or windy day, the weather isn’t ideal for swimming inside. I would opt for visiting Perast for lunch and one other town to take photos instead of the caves, which are very far and take up one hour of the 3.5 hour experience.

      Reliable company
We can definitely recommend this company! Very short information on places visited during the boat ride, comfy boat! But you have to take info account that on the 3h ride you don’t have wc on the boat or possibilities to change clothes before or after swimming.

Best way to end my summer!
The lady at the information pult was very helpful and kind. Went on a tour of 3-4 hours across most places in Boka bay and it was worth the experience and great value for money. Our skipper was amazing! He was telling us bunch of interesting stories about places we visited. Definitely recommend this company! I ended my summer holiday with them and it was worth it.

      AMAZING service!
We were in kotor during a stop for our cruise ship. We had booked a walking tour of perast and lady of the rocks earlier in the day, and after doing it we realized we wanted to spend more time sailing around the area on a boat! The area is so beautiful and we were so mesmerized by the mountains, we just couldn’t imagine not sailing around some more. We weren’t sure if we could find any boats for immediate sailing though as the summer is a really busy season and mostly all tours are booked far in advance. I found Kotor Boat Tours on google and messaged them on WhatsApp to see if the could give us a private sailing tour the same day, and they responded right away. They told us that they had immediate availability and to go talk to Maria at the tour stand. But unfortunately we ended up going to see Maria a bit later than discussed. They were so busy but STILL were able to accommodate us on such short notice. Maria and her team worked really hard to make sure we got a boat and a skipper! Our skipper’s name was Balsa and he was so wonderful- he took us wherever we wanted to go and also told us the history of the things we were seeing, such as Perast and Lady of the Rocks. I would 10000% recommend booking with this company as they really went out of their way to make us happy!!! Thank you Maria and Balsa!

      Nightmare on Kotor Bay
After spending two weeks in the Balkins the only negative experience was with Kotor Boat Tours. We discovered this company from one of the signs they have posted along the waterfront walk way after having one of their employees direct our attention to it. I guess that was our first mistake, typically we do some online research before using a tour vendor but ultimately this was a lesson learned. After communicating with the number on the sign through “WhatsApp” we were offered times of 9am and 4pm for the 3 hour tour. We chose the earlier tour. We walked over to the agreed meeting point, arriving a little before 9. There was a bit of a chaotic scene without a clear person in charge just various gentleman cleaning their boats for the day. We caught the eye on a captain who told us to wait back at the end of the dock. We waited until about 10-15 minutes after which we were motioned over to a boat and boarded. We were told we had to go pick up another couple at the other dock and then we’d be off. We took the 10 minute trip away from our hotel and original starting point over to the other dock. When we arrived, our captain told us to hold tight and that he was going to grab the other couple. After about 15 minutes he returned and we were told that they were from a cruise ship and were running behind. Now it was already about 80 degrees and we were sitting in full sun on a boat with nearly no shade, but what can you do? We were now about a km further from the dock we had walked to. So we continued to wait. We waited, more like cooking, for an additional 30-45 more minutes without any communication when a woman we had never met walked up only to inform us that the cruise passengers were so behind that the only two options we had were to either try again at 4 PM or continue on but it would now be a “private tour” which would be a premium of approximately 300% more than what we had been quoted. We kindly pointed out that we had been broiling under the sun there for over an hour, ruining our morning already, and the idea of being extorted didn’t sit right with us nor did the idea or rolling the dice and also possibly ruining our evening with a second attempt. Her only response was that there was a disclaimer on their website. Well call me old fashioned but when I see a sign and text a number I don’t go looking for fine print on websites. And as a total aside, I would be surprised if the fine print says “oh by the way after broiling you in the sun for an hour and driving you another mile from your hotel we may also extort you for 3 times the price if the cruise ship we contracted with can’t provide the passengers they promised.” Regardless of any fine print however, anyone with an ounce of customer service would have had the mental fortitude to assess the situation appropriately. Instead this stranger gazed down on their two sweating, happily complaint but apparently naive appearing extremely inconvenienced customers who just wasted their morning waiting around for them and decided to try to exploit them. That’s unconscionable. Thankfully there are dozens of boat tour operators in the area and I would recommend taking your chances with literally any of them and avoid Kotor Boat Tours otherwise you too might ruin your morning and/or end up extorted and sun burned.

History & Beauty perfectly paired in a great boat tour!
Exceptional communication. Great Tour, great captain. We didn't have long in port so we did the shorter trip to Our Lady of the Rocks and Perast, and it didn't disappoint. Beautiful views coupled with interesting history, it was a great tour at a very reasonable price. We highly recommend this tour and would book again!

      Great private tour!
We had a great 4,5h tour with Kotor Boat Tours. We went to Perast, Lady of the Rock, Oyster Farm and Porto Montenegro. We could not wish for more and would recommend this Private Tour! We also had a pic up at our place and a great experienced skipper. Thanks!

      Fantastic value
Fantastic value tour. The captain was excellent throughout, stopping and giving us information. He even pulled over when he spotted some dolphins - apparently a rarity and an extra special added bonus. We probably didn’t need the beach stop but good to see somewhere new. I would happily use them for a private bespoke tour next time.

Amazing way to see the bay of Kotor!!
Our group of five were visiting Montenegro for just three nights and wanted to see as much of the bay as possible and this tour did not disappoint! I originally reached out to 5 or 6 tour companies before arriving in Montenegro and KBT were the most responsive and competitively priced - we couldn't recommend them highly enough! During our 6 hour private tour, we visited so many amazing places, with breath taking views throughout the day. Our captain Balša was awesome! His English was great and he had exceptional knowledge of the history of Kotor and its surroundings. He was very hospitable and was always willing to go out of his way to accommodate our needs. This tour is incredible value for money and a must do when in Kotor or the surrounding area. Thank you Balša and the KBT team!

Ok Half Day Tour, Not a Must Do
This is one of the few tours that seemed to deviate from the standard 3 hour tour offered by most companies, adding in a one hour stop (was actually 45 minutes) at Dobrec beach, which had good facilities and two separate bar areas. It’s not entirely clear to me what the Blue Grotto is - it seems multiple caves are called the Blue Grotto. But as for what appeared to be the largest the boat we were on was too tall to fit in so we only peaked inside. All of the caves we looked at (three if recall correctly) were just mildly interesting…nothing mind blowing. And absolutely nothing to see while snorkeling. Pros: Good way to see the Bay. Boat was modern and clean. Cons: they only had a handful of snorkeling masks, not nearly enough for all the passengers. No fins on board. Then again, doesn’t matter much as there are no fish to be seen. No water on board (I saw other companies advertising this). Is this an oh wow must do experience? No. But there’s not much of an alternative to get out on the water unless you want to charter your own boat.

      Best experience in Montenegro
I went from Bulgaria to Kotor, Montenegro and wanted to explore Boka Bay. I searched for speedboat tours and i founded "Kotor Boat Tours" and since it had good reviews i choose them. Their booker Marija was very kind and she explained everything that they offer so me and my friends bought tickets for the Blue Cave. I can confidently say that i don't regret it. It was best spent 4 hours since i was in Montenegro. Gracija was our driver. He was very kind and i enjoyed talking with him. He was there to answer all of our questions and explain everything. It was my first time driving ond the speedboat and it's for sure been one of the best experiences in my life. If i ever visit Montenegro again "Kotor Boat tours" is my destination.

4 hour group tour to Blue Cave
I really enjoyed the 4 hour tour to the Blue Cave. We went first on The Lady of the Rock island and then stopped by the Submarine and the island Mamula. Weather was not so good but the skipper still managed to go to the Blue Cave. After that we had an hour to spend at the beach. All in all, everything was great and I really liked it. P.S. The skipper was kind and very positive and played great music :)

I booked a private 3.5hr tour as there were 7 of us and it was a real highlight of our mediterranean cruise. The boat was in great condition - noisy at the back and quieter at the front.
Our driver/guide, Djuro, was very nice and knowledgeable when we stopped at each site. We first went to the Lady of the Rocks as it wasn't too crowded. Then we pulled into one of the submarine pens. Then out to sea, passing by Mamula prison island and on to the Blue Cave. It was too crowded to stop and swim in the blue cave so we motored through it and then pulled into the next cave over so that we could get out and swim safely. Djuro had lifejackets for each of us (three kids and four adults) so we could all get out and swim. We stopped at Perast on the way back and had 30 minutes to walk up the steps and grab a quick gelato and a beer. We could have used longer in Perast but at least we got a taste of it.
All in all, this was a great tour. It's a short walk from the port where the cruise ship tenders pulled in.

We were staying in Perast and wanted to visit the blue cave but here are no Boat trips direct that could be considered affordable. However the team at KTB which operate out of Kotor were happy to arrange to pick us up and drop us off at Peras t as it is one of the tour stops. There was another family on the tour but the small motor Boat was plenty large enough. Alex the captain was very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and happy to answer questions. The blue cave, mumula, the submarine pens were fascinating and we could have spent much longer at them just exploring.
Thank you to Alex and the team for this great trip.

Booked this last minute while on our cruise boat. The response was very fast and we were booked and ready to go as we arrived in Kotor. I must say this was the best decision we ever made. The tour was very affordable for the four of us and was simply amazing! Alex was there waiting for us to arrive and we headed off.
We went out to the Blue Cave and were the first boat there, we had the whole cave to ourselves to swim and enjoy the absolutely amazing beauty of this wonder.
We also saw the Mamula, a old submarine tunnel as well as Lady of the Rock and Perast. The whole experience was amazing and our captain was so knowledgeable about everything.
Would absolutely recommend this for anyone visiting Kotor. Was really one of our favorite spots and private tours on our vacation.

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor, I decided to book a group boat tour with this company. My husband and I were very happy with our experience. We saw all the highlights, including the Blue Cave (with a swim), Submarine Tunnel, Our Lady of Rock, and Perast. We also had an hour stop at a small beach where we ate lunch. Great tour on a new, clean boat with a reasonable price. Thank you!

We chose Kotor Boat Tours as the recommendations on Tripadvisor were excellent.
We were very happy with the whole experience. Our captain Duora could not have been more welcoming or knowledgeable. This was a boat tour for my family of 7 with plenty of room on the speedboat. We were able to visit Perast and The Lady of the Rock, Mamula (although closed for renovation) Rose and other little beaches where we were able to dive from the boat and bathe in the sheer exhilaration of the environment. The bay of Kotor is amazing, it is the southern most fjord in the world and is quite spectacular. The tour can be adjusted to individual requirements as there are many interesting places to stop. I would thoroughly recommend this trip.

We happened onto this Tour service while looking for a different boat. We paid 30 euro for a tour of the entire bay. What made this especially great was that it was on a smaller speedboat. It was a little more intimate (shared with a lovely group of 4 others), with a fantastic driver and host, and was just so much more fun on a speedboat than on a bigger, slower tour boat. For the price we paid and the service we received, I would recommend these guys to everyone. I hope Kotor Boat Tours continues to offer such great service for such a reasonable price -- they will clean up!

We loved the boat ride and wished it was warmer for us to swim in the Blue Caves. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as we were on a cruise ship with time constraints. Our boat driver was informative and the views of the mountains and sea where stunning. A great way to see Kotor!

Narrative was perfect, enough information to give you the history without boring you with it. Professional tour with a relax feel, perfect!

We booked group tour with this company and it was awesome experience! Boat is new, crew is very friendly and informative. Blue cave can be busy sometimes but there is another cave next to it which is called black cave and it is really interesting to swim in. I would highly recommend booking with this company ! We did this as part of an excursion while in port. The company owner was our tour guide that day and he was extraordinarily easy to work with and very flexible when our cruise ship came into port later than expected, offering reassurance he would wait and still be able to accommodate our party. And the tour was AWESOME. He was fully of local history, there was plenty of time at each of the stops and he even took some great photos of us in the water. Can't speak highly enough about this tour- especially as you always take a chance not going with the cruise excursion options in a foreign country. HIGHLY recommend.
