Uncover the breathtaking Transfagarasan road and its winding path across the wilderness of the Carpathians, above 2,000 meters altitude. This is the perfect day trip from Sibiu if you want to add to your list one of the must-see attractions of Romania.
On the way back to Sibiu, we stop to visit another special site, the ruins of the Cistercian Abbey from Carta.

We went on the Transfagarasan tour and it was amazing! The guide, Diana, was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to that you could clearly feel how much she loves and cares about her homeland. She is really devoted to her business and a nice person too! She and Radu, who was our driver, answered all our questions about Romania with patience and enthusiasm (even political ones). The drive itself was very comfortable and smooth, so we had enough time to see every beautiful spot we passed. I definitely recommend Uncover Romania to anybody who likes a personal touch or keen on learning new stuff!
