Itinerary
- 1Travel in comfort with an expert guide to see the town of El Alamein. Learn about Rommel, the Desert Fox, and other figures of World War 2 who fought in Egypt and their significance in the war. Ask any questions you have as you talk with an expert on the subject. On site visit an enlightening local war museum, which tells the story of El Alamein through war memorabilia. The gardens outside of the museum are scattered with huge army tanks and large scale weaponry that were used during the battles of El Alamein. Inside there are five halls, each dedicated to a country involved in the war, with uniforms, weapons, models and records on display. Continue your way to the beautiful town of El Alamein overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Pay your respects and visit the World War Cemeteries, the final resting place for so many Greek, Italian and German soldiers.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- paulima1000 contributionsNile Cruise Late CancellationMy five day Nile Cruise was cancelled by Very Great Trip on the night before it was due to sail, abd without any explanation. They did not answer or return calls, and Viator, whom I had booked through, did not accept responsibility for the tour operator. My Egyptian trip was ruined as a Nile cruise was the highlight. It was too late at such short notice to book another cruise and I had to make my way to Aswan by train and do the sights with a hired driver. Extremrly disappointing, and the lsck of of customer care was shocking.Written 14 June 2022
- Michael_BKK_JPN0 contributionsTourist Trap - No show-up & Abandoned at 4amFirst booked online, but no response. So, contacted via TripAdvisor & finally communicated via WhatsApp. Reconfirmed pick-up arrangement & payment one day before. However, no one showed up at 4am (pick up time) on the day of departure. Tried to call/contact them, but not reachable. Suddenly, there was refund at 4:15am via TripAdvisor. Reported the police & we were told this company has poor reputation. Please avoid them - we don’t want others to experience the same.Written 30 December 2021
- LGBEJ0 contributionsCanceled on the day the tour was about to happen by the operatorCommunication was good at first we agreed on pick up place and all seemed good. In the morning of the pick up no one showed up. The tour operator was not reachable by phone or messenger. At some Point without any communication operator issues refund of upfront paid fees. However we were left stranded. I do not recommend anyone to book with this operator. Apparently you need special permits for crossing the Dessert to Abu Simbel and this might be where some “free” operators get stuckWritten 29 December 2021
