Amazing food tour!!!!!
A Frying Pan Adventure food tour with Farida is a must. We did a private middle eastern food tour with Farida on the second night of our ten day vacation in Dubai. We are a family of four including two boys ages 10 and 15 and the food tour and our time with Farida was hands down the best evening of our entire vacation. Not only was it an amazing food tour allowing us to sample many delicious foods, but it also gave us a much better understanding of Dubai’s culture and history. We would have never been able to experience the great food and flavors of Dubai otherwise. It was a pleasure to spend an evening with Farida on her amazing food tour. We are extremely grateful for our experience and our time together. Thank you Farida!!

Quintessential Old Dubai
Sep 2020 • Family
We had a fantastic tour with Farida Ahmed, who is a local food expert who lives and grew up in Old Dubai. The tour is very well organized and makes you truly appreciate Dubai rich cultural and gastronomic diversity. A must tour for tourists and locals who want to discover hidden jewels and appreciate the essence of this wonderful city.

Middle Eastern food and culture tour
Sep 2020 • Couples
My wife and I did a Middle Eastern Food and Culture walk in Dubai with Farida. Farida was very welcoming and had a lot of knowledge on food and cultural history.

It was a lot of fun, tasting different foods and getting an understanding of the food history.

Farida did a great job as our guide and my wife and myself thoroughly enjoyed it.

A MUST if visiting Dubai!
Feb 2020
This tour is totally a slice of heaven in Dubai. Among all the cookie cutter, theme park experiences that are highly advertised, this is a GEM that provides visitors with a true glimpse into the people, food and culture that fuel Dubai.

The food was of course AMAZING and I'm so grateful for this authentic food tour!

We went back for seconds. Bon appetit!
Feb 2020
Less than 3 hours after landing in Dubai, we met up with Farida for the "Middle Eastern Food Pilgrimage" tour.  Regardless of the destination, we have always made a point of signing up for a food tour as soon as we could. Besides being the ideal way to dive into the deep end of a country's culture and cuisine, the early start affords us the option of revisiting specific locations and getting recommendations for new places. This time, we did much more than that: 2 days later, we met up with Noorin for the "Dubai Souks and Creekside Food Walk" tour.  Our first outing was so amazing, we wrote to Frying Pan expressing our interest in the second tour, and when Arva replied with the reassurance that the 2 offerings were very different, we were in.

I have to resist the temptation to share too many details about what and where we ate on both tours; that would spoil all the surprises. But if you're still curious, I'm attaching a handful of pictures. It suffices to say that both Farida and Noorin were very passionate about Dubai's culinary offerings and their infectious enthusiasm is evident through their telling of many food origin stories, cultural quirks, and fun anecdotes. The food on both tours was delicious, the perfect combination of sweet and savory, quick bites and real dishes. By the end, we were far from hungry. We love the variety of cuisines, a reflection of the multi-ethnic makeup of the residents of Dubai.

If you have to pick just one tour, I prefer the food from the Middle Eastern Food Pilgrimage over the ones offered during the Dubai Souks and Creekside Food Walk. However, as its name implies, you'll get to see a lot more local colors with the latter, including an abra across the creek.  Forget the fancy shopping and the glistening skyscrapers, the high point of our stay in Dubai was with Frying Pan Adventures. In the humble opinion of this spicy Spingo champion, the way to the heart of Dubai is through its food. Thank you, Farida and Noorin for leading the way.

Your review is lovely; so thank you for taking the time to write it. Spingo Champ all the way! We hope to see you back again soon! Scrumptiously yours, Frying Pan Adventures

Middle Eastern food and culture walk
This was a well researched tour by Frying Pan Adventures. Not only was the food of exceptional quality and tastiness but it was truly a wonderful experience seeing some of the foods being prepared and cooked by the experts.
I was delighted by the different types of local food from Persia to Egypt to Iraq, much of which I would never have tried to eat. Nahla set out expectations and was careful to help us with pacing our food intake. However, the falafels will be hard to beat now wherever I go! This tour has 5 stars for both of us

Middle Eastern Food Tour experience - a wonderful Christmas present!
Jan 2020
A wonderful evening spent sampling the most delicious Middle Eastern food and guided by a most knowledgeable and attentive, Nahla Al Tabbaa.
We watched as chefs prepared the most delicious of dishes in restaurants that I would never have known existed.
We sampled the very best falafel, and watched chefs prepare amazing food like the cheesy dessert, Knafeh.
Definitely this food tour is not to be missed in Dubai

dive into arabian culinary culture
Jan 2020
this tour offers you a first hand dive into the rich tapestry of arabian culinary culture beyond the glitz and glamour of the high end restaurants in dubai. we explored iraqui masgouf, palestinian comfort food, persian sweets and much more… morevover, our guide nahla was equally knowledgable as she was passionate about arabian street and comfort food. i recommend this tour even though the price is slightly steep (for the food you receive)...

Jan 2020
Arva was our guide for the Middle Eastern Food Pilgrimmage, and she was fantastic! She is so knowledgeable about food, culture, Dubai, and the Middle East. I could have listened to her talk all day. She took us to all the places you wouldn't know to go yourself. Best. Falafel. Ever. Truly, I've never had anything like it. She also tells you how much "stomach space" to save after each dish, so you can enjoy everything still to come! Hands down, one of my favorite parts of our trip to Dubai.
