Our guide Pal was very knowledgeable with lots of stories and jokes. Great trip, lots of temples, shame about the weather with rain and cloud so no actual sunset and sunrise :(

        Informative temple tour
Really informative trip which was enjoyed by both the adults and the teenagers! Good mixture of temples visited… with timings carefully selected to ensure they were quiet.

        Brilliant
Sokpee was a great guide - very well informed on the history of the various temples and took the time to explain / answer all the groups questions. Also Pha was brilliant - fresh cold towels / drinks pretty much everytime we came back to the bus! Would definitely recommend them both!

Fantastic value and an amazing experience with a long-time guide
We can't recommend this company highly enough. Great communication in the lead up, quality service and limitless supply of bottled water during the tour. Our guide Pi has been sharing his beloved Siem Reap with visitors for over 15 years and is extremely knowledgeable in the history of the area, prime photo shots and opportunities to explore the countryside. Nothing is too much trouble. We have left with a deep respect for the Khymer people and their culture

Our tour guide Mr Bun was extremely knowledgeable and conducted the tour in a truly professional manner. He took time to explain the origin of each temple, the meaning of the carvings and other intricate details which we would not have known had we gone on our own. The transportation was comfortable with water and cold towels. I would definitely recommend this 2 day tour. Thank you Mr Bun.

We highly recommend this wonderful 2 day temple tour which included visits to 3 temples on day 1 and 6 on day 2.
A 4.30am start on the first day to experience Angkor Wat at sunrise followed by 2 more temples in the afternoon. It was a wonderful day albeit a long one with the tour running about an hour overtime concluding at around 2.30pm. I was a little concerned about temple burnout however it wasn’t the case with day 2 even better than the first day in my opinion. Our day 2 group consisted on 5 as opposed to 9 on the first day. Both were perfect.
We were collected from our hotel at around 8.30am and by lunchtime had visited 5 temples which were in fairly close proximity to each other. Day 2 temples were in part in need of some restoration which is in the pipeline however all were intriguing in there own right with many in a jungle setting and a greater feeling of intimacy than the larger temples. We enjoyed a lovely lunch followed by the final temple of the day. A 30-40 minute drive back to our hotel with the day concluding by 4pm .
Our guide for 2 days Sam was an absolute wealth of knowledge and was just wonderful in every regard so thank you Sam for such a memorable and informative 2 days. And thank you to our most careful and professional drivers .
Highly recommend the 2 day tour with Journey Cambodia. Worth every cent. A great organisation.

      Thank you.

A friend and I booked this tour a few days in advance, and we are so glad we did! Our tour guide Phal was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and our driver Mong was always ready with water and cold towels for us. The group size was just right, plus we were happy to share this experience with such lovely people. Everything was planned out wonderfully and we never felt rushed. I would highly recommend this 2 day tour with Journey Cambodia - you will get to explore and learn about several of the incredible temples of Siem Reap. Thank you Phal + Mong + Journey Cambodia for making our first visit to Cambodia so pleasant!

We booked with Journey Cambodia by email. Communication was very easy, their replies were prompt. They also accomodated changes to our itinerary due to change in flight schedules.

Our guide in Siem Reap was Phi and the driver was Piseth. We were picked up at the airport, checked in at the hotel and started our tour. Phi was very good, he showed us the different sites/Temples with enthusiasm which makes the visit even more interesting. The tours were not crowded and the pace was not hurried nor too slow. Everytime we finish one site, the driver Piseth was always prompt and he always has cold water and cold wet towels ready for us. The van was clean. The first day, the car aircon was not cold enough, but they fixed it the next day. Phi and Piseth were also very helpful, they helped us find minimart to buy snacks and also recommended good restaurant for dinner.

Our drive from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh was also smooth, we stopped at the bridge and the Spider Town. The public toilet by the bridge was clean, and the restaurant we stopped at was good. Phi even helped us buy some local snacks and he bought us local fruit that tasted like mango but smaller and some other fruits. We also stopped on the roadside to pick mango from a tree after Phi asked permission from the owner.

Overall, I would recommend this tour with the guide and the driver.

Throughly enjoyed our 2 day Temple tour with our guide Phal (“Paul”) Journey Cambodia. He was very knowledgeable and showed us best place to take pictures of sunrise Angkor Wat and other temples. Shuttle met us at hotel on time both days. Water and cold towels wee provided along our journey. History of temples and Cambodia and personal insights made this most memorable. He was very patient, yet kept things moving, even though our small group had people from several different countries. He also offered to take photos of us, even though we didn’t ask! Definitely recommend!

We had an amazing two days visiting the incredible ancient temples of the Angkor Empire period. Our guide, Phal, managed the itinerary perfectly and looked after the needs of each traveler with sincere care. He was clearly very knowledgeable about the temples and their place in history. At times he gave a lot of detail of recent Cambodian history and his own life which I think was also nice, but personally I would prefer more of a history lecture about the empire and each temple, but that may not be what all tourists want.

Overall, Phal was great and we would recommend this tour to our friends.

This tours was absolutely spot on. I could not have asked for a more organised and informative tour. I booked one day in advance. WhatsApp exchange quick and booked on tour. Asked for additional service of a sunset following day one and it was arranged for a small fee. Mr Yuth our tour guide was brilliant bringing a personal touch to explaining his life in Cambodia as well as an extensive overview of the temples of Angkor Wat. He was funny and engaging. He kept the tour group moving through the temples without feeling rushed. I thought the tour was a good pace and for the two days I had feel I covered the perfect amount of ground. It’s a full on itinerary for 2 days and the sunrise despite the early start was so worth it. Having been on May tours I can safely recommend this tour to people. Mr Yuth made the trip and I was very satisfied with the tour and had the most amazing time. Keep up the good work Yuth and Team. Sal the driver was the safest driver I’ve driven with since being in Asia. Book this tour you will not be disappointed

I booked this tour online, and it was really great. We were a group of 8, but the bus had space for 14. Cold water and wet towels were provided every time we went into the bus, which was great. I found that the 2 days was enough to discover the temples.

The sunrise tour is great because you see the three most impressive temples, and you end the tour when the sun makes staying outside umbearable. On the second day, you don’t wake up as early but the day is a bit hotter. You definitely need a hat on both days from 11 am or so.

Temples were also amazing on day 2: smaller, but we got to see a variety of them.

Our guide, Mr Chhay, was very knowledgeable and helpful, and he speaks really good English despite apologizing about it. He provided history context of the temples (I am amazed how he explained all the elements of the different religions) but also social context of when he was a child and right now, which is really helpful to understand the local people.

He also offered to help us bargain for souvenirs that the locals sell. Id say if you forgot your hat or fan, just buy it in the local markets next to the temples and ask your guide for help. He offered us a visit to the mining museum (extra 5 usd), and i found it really hartbreaking, but also necessary.

The people in the tour found that the restaurant where we had breakfast one day and lunch the other was expensive (10-15 usd for main + soft drink). There are lots of rest rooms and bathrooms.

Also, when you’re there, donate money to the ex-soldiers that play music next to the main temples, Cambodians don’t have government pension.

Chhay was one of the best guides we’ve had during a 3 month trip!

The tour was really good, we didn’t really know a lot about Angkor Wat ahead of this, and were hesitant to book having seen lots of temples already. We’re so glad we did though!! Sunrise on the first day is 100% worth getting up for, and the rest of the day is not too rushed so don’t worry about being too tired. We stopped somewhere for breakfast which had a good western menu (cheap), however we brought sandwiches because we’re on a tight budget so we just had coffee. It was good!

Angkor Wat is a really special place with some very interesting history and lots of very impressive architecture especially considering it was built over 1000 years ago in some cases. You NEED a guide for Angkor Wat to get the most out of it. All of the carvings were explained to us, building techniques, fun facts and “secret spots”, we learnt so much about the place and general Cambodian history. This tour has a lot to offer, whether you’re interested in the art/history/architecture/religion or just want to take amazing photos & see the temple from Tomb Raider!

Between stops we were back in the minivan to the next place, A/C every time & more drinking water & cold towels given to us by the very kind and smiley driver!

On the second day we got to stop at the land mine museum on the way back which was a treat and well worth looking at.

This was all perfectly delivered by Chhay who went above and beyond to make sure our tour was the best it could be. He even gave us ideas for what to do with the rest of our time in Cambodia 😊😊

Sak was absolutely the best possible guide we could have asked for. He brought the temples to life through his passion and knowledge of the history and context of the areas.

Absolutely a 10/10 experience. We saw the main 3 temples and an additional 3 which tended not to feature on the advertisements of other tour companies.

For the price they charge it's an absolute no brainer - strongly recommend going with this company and ask for Sak if possible - you will walk away with memories for a lifetime.

Our guide, Mr.Phal was always very nice and teached us a lot about the places and cambodian history and culture. The driver Mr. Mong, was always taking care with cold towels, fresh water and cleaning the bus. Bus is very good with AC, small group (11 and 9 people).
It is nice to wake up early and buy the tickets before the lines are not too big. Seeing the sunrise sky changing colors is a nice experience, but the best is to visit Angkor with less people and not so hot.
The second day goes to 5 temples and I think the last stop after lunch could really be skipped.
