About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- dilj_bj_rtb20190 contributionsWould give this 10 stars if possible!!Whenever I see a tour with 5 stars, I'm skeptical, but I would give this 10 stars if possible!! We had the best day ever, and could not recommend this more to anyone interested. Our tour guide Vanna was so knowledgeable, and could answer every question we had even when it had nothing to do with the temples. He had a great humor, and made this tour feel very personal. It felt very much like we were traveling with a knowledgeable friend rather than a tour guide. Our driver Hay made us feel like kings and queens, opening the car doors for us, and always making sure we were well hydrated or had cold towels to cool us off. After many guided tours in our travels, this one takes the #1 place without a doubt.Written 13 December 2024
- Odysseus27000 contributionsFantastic Tour with Choub and LindaWe had a fantastic tour with Choub as the guide and Linda as the driver. Choub was very informative, highly knowledgeable and seemed to know everybody. Couldn’t have asked for a better driver and guide. Cannot recommend enough!!Written 13 December 2024
- B868ZPraulp0 contributionsTemple run!Was alright, just gotta buy the temple entrance fee for all temples (all in one price), $37.00 per person. Takes a while, as Angkor Wat covers a LOT of land, so be prepared to do a LOT of walking/climbing stairs...some have no handrails & are STEEP as well...oh, and it gets HOT, so best to arrive at Angkor Wat at around 5 AM, that way you can scope out a good spot to see the sunrise!Written 12 December 2024
- Murray T0 contributions...Just do it, A day to remember !We have just spent a breath-taking eleven hours exploring the wonderful sights of Siem Reap. Many thanks to our superb guide, Luon, who definitely knew his stuff. ...and not forgetting our very professional driver (who's name l have forgotten, sorry) Would highly recommend this tour to anyone wishing to see Angkor Wat and nearby temples, it's a day you'll never forget, the included cold water and towels were very welcome after all those steps ! Thanks again Loun, you're a star 🙂Written 9 December 2024
- 658carlau0 contributions2 Day Angkor Wat TourMy partner and I went on the 2-Day Angkor Wat With Small, Big Circuit and Banteay Srei Tour, and it was the best experience of our entire holiday !. Our guide Chhay was absolutely amazing, very knowledgeable, amazing photographer and knew all the best spots. Our driver Hay was always ready with cold water and towels for when we got back to the car and safely got us to all the temples. This was an absolute amazing experience, and I would 100% recommend Happy Angkor Tours for anyone/everyone coming to Siem Reap.Written 8 December 2024
- Road169964860920 contributionsAmazing 2 day tour with Chhay and HayMy partner and I went on the 2 day temple tour with the sunrise. Our guide Chhay knows the local history extremely well, takes amazing photos and has many tricks to avoid large crowds. He made our past 2 days amazing. Our driver Hay was very polite, drove well and always made sure we were comfortable and had chilled water! Would recommend these two 100%!Written 8 December 2024
- ApplachianTrailTao0 contributionsA Sight to Behold…The 3 Day All Major Temples & Floating Village Tour 😃👍I had a really nice 3 Day All Major Temples & Floating Village Tour with Happy Angkor Tour company! It was truly amazing filled with incredible sights and experiences! There was always something distinctive about each temple making each one special. Mr. Youk was a great guide! Super informative, friendly and helpful with a great personality. His knowledge and care for the history, the local community, and pride in Cambodia truly comes across. I feel very fortunate to have been paired with him. Also very grateful and appreciative of Mr. Ya, our friendly safe driver! A very pleasant personality and most attentive; always greeting me with a cool wet cloth and a water when returning to the van. Thank you both for all you did to help create such a wonderful experience!!!Written 7 December 2024

- Paradise617744109380 contributionsAmazing Cambodia Temples toursWe just finished a custom 3 day tour with Sokhem as our guide and Sreang as our driver. Sokhem was was knowledgeable and great teacher as he shared the rich history of Cambodia and all of the Temples with us. It was very hot and humid so we appreciated the waters and cool towels during our time with them. I highly recommend using this company for your tour and Sokhem and Sreang as your guide and driver.Written 6 December 2024
- Fitchmallon0 contributionsAmazing private tourWe booked a 3 day private tour through Happy Angkor Tour and had an amazing time. Mony responded quickly to my emails about what we wanted to see and offered suggestions about the best itinerary. During the tour our guide was Sokhem and our driver was Sreang. We learned so much from them. They were always considerate and got us water and cold towels and answered the hundreds of questions we asked. They made changes when we asked and went out of their way to take us to places that weren’t even part of the tour. I highly recommend them if you are visiting Siem Reap!Written 6 December 2024
- xinmeil20230 contributionsA private tour is the best way to explore Siem Reap for familiesExcellent guide and great service! Look no further if you want a private tour just for you or your family. It made everything go smoothly and covered the significant temples without feeling rushed. Our guide's name is Vanna and the driver is Lis.Written 4 December 2024
- RichardE610 contributionsThe Best Way To Experience Angkor Wat!We have just completed our multi-day tour and could not be any happier with the experience. Our guide, Lonn Thou, as well as our driver, San, were the perfect hosts as we traveled from one amazing site after another. The Cambodian weather is no joke (with its humidity and heat), so having a car waiting for you with air conditioning, cold water, and a cold wash cloth after each segment of the tour was a life saver. I simply don’t know how we could have fully appreciated the wonders of Angkor Wat without the guidance and support offered by Happy Angkor Tours.Written 3 December 2024

Great tour lead by our guide Bo and driver, who adapted the 3 day schedule to suit our interests and time. Bo was very knowledgable, with a relaxed style which we appreciated plus has exceptional iPhone photography skills taking great / interesting shots of us as we toured all the sites. We loved the sunset and sunrise visits, although a 5.20am start maybe a little too early for some. Very nice car for 4 adults, prompt pick-ups, cold water and towels all as advertised, the team were knowledgeable about the best routes, parking and when possible avoiding the busiest locations/times. Lunch and refreshments stops were good and timing flexible, lunch costing between $5-$10 usd per person. If you only have two days, our recommendation would be drop the Kulen Mount Waterfall, great history but the waterfall area was a little too busy and dirty. In summary a great and relaxing tour, good value for money with fantastic memories and photos too...

We had an amazing experience with Happy Angkor Tour. Our drivers and guide were always early for our pick-up, very knowledgeable about the temples, local knowledge and Khmer culture. We learned so much over our 3 day tour and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND the services of this tour company.
We enjoyed that our tour took us to the various types of temples from the 9th to the 13th century. Additionally, Kulen Mountain was a good break from the traditional temples, while still providing context and significance of the mountain for religious practices.
We personally wanted to thank our Tour Guide Mr Rith and our Driver Mr Sron for everything!!!

We had Lonn Thou as our guide and Sreang as our driver.
The guide was very friendly and spoke extremely well English, with great knowledge of Angkor history.
The driver and coordination was amazing and time efficient. The driver would be waiting with cold water and cold towel after every temple visit.
The itinerary was almost perfect, with a perfect mix of big and small temples. All are unique and the purposefully do not include boring and similar temples. All temples were grand and unique, as well as the kulen waterfall.
Would recommend to request apasara dance, 16 usd per head extra with buffet dinner in the evening.
Also ask to do one more day to cover Koh kher and being melea (far from city and close to each other). They will charge more for this, we missed it but wish we could have added it.
The only drawback was the guide knew nothing more than the basic facts and the common inside outs among guides (which for the price is great), but if you want to hear mythologyical stories and thorough history than just buy a guide book for 30 usd (not a big deal).

Chhay, our guide, and our driver Hay made our three days really special (I recommend that you request them).
Background on us: we are two incredibly curious introverted people that love learning about the world.
Chhay is thorough, knowledgeable, considerate, and flexible. He was able to keep us in the shade when possible, find little “introvert corners” for us at lunch and the sunrise at Angkor. He is flexible in the schedule, especially if you wilt in the sun.
Take the write up of this tour more as a guideline than a hard and fast timeline. You will see more temples than you have stamina to see, both popular and lesser-known temples. Your waterfall day goes far beyond “just” a waterfall.
Beyond the expert Chhay, there is the steadfast and safe driver Hay. While quiet, he is always there to open doors, ensure you are well watered, have cold towels, is there waiting for you each time you are done, and most importantly drives you safely from place to place.

My family of three engaged Happy Angkor Tour for our maiden trip to Siem Reap. Being our very first trip to Cambodia, we were unfamiliar with the locations and directions to the attractions. Our tour guide, Jimmy did an excellent job to explain to us the rich history of every temple and attended to us sincerely throughout the whole trip. He also went an extra mile to bring us to different locations to take photogenic shots with beautiful scenery. We could feel his passion and joy in engaging us and inculcating in us the rich culture and history of the Khmer civilization. We were very impressed by the excellent service rendered to us, from the organization of the itineraries to the comfortable and safe rides provided to each destination, with cool water and towels provided for us to cool down after each destination. Our experience with Happy Angkor Tour has certainly been one of the best in all our experiences with day tours, and we highly recommend first timers in Cambodia to engage their service!

The tour to Siem Reap and the Angkor temples was a wonderful experience with our tour guide Niem Sokhem. He was incredibly knowledgeable and brought the rich history of Angkor alive. Together with his driver Bun Hay he made our trip extremely pleasurable and because of them our trip to Siem Reap will long last as a wonderful memory. We highly recommend Niem Sokhem from Happy Angkor Tours for a great visit to Angkor temples!

This was an excellent tour package. Our tour guide Pal, was outstanding. He is very knowledgeable and told us countless stories using the inscriptions and figures carved into temple walls. He provided us with history and context and made the temples come alive for us! As a result of the stories and our follow-up conversations, we also received more insight into other religions, particularly Hindu and Buddhists beliefs/tenants. We had some eye-opening/mind expanding conversations. Pal was great about answering our questions and he also had a good sense of humor.
We got so much more out of our time at Angkor Wat and surrounding area temples because we had a knowledgeable tour guide. In addition, Pal timed many of our visits so that sunlight would be hitting the temples at the right time and providing good lighting for photographs. Often he would take us to areas and say "look there" and in front of us would be a nicely framed photograph.
We felt our tour guide went above and beyond. We were interested in some of the plants and agriculture of the area and Pal would stop the vehicle and point out plants or explain some aspect of culture that we were curious about.
When we expressed interest in some local folklore, he explained it to us, gave us examples and stories, and even called his mother, to give us more details!
We believe the tour package gave us a much better understanding of the temples, the kings, and the culture and life of the temple time period. The tour package and our guide Pal gave us excellent value for our money. We highly recommend this tour and company. Very friendly and service-orientated.

We spent three amazing days with Mr Sam (guide) and Mr San (driver) on our visit to Siem Reap. I highly recommend this tour company and especially our guides for your trip to Siem Reap. Mr. Sam knew exactly when to go to each temple to avoid the crowds and where to take the most amazing pictures. After spending two days with us, Mr. Sam knew us well enough to recommend a slight change in our itinerary. We visited amazing temples, local markets, tasted local dishes, visited waterfalls and the lingas. A wonderful cross section of history, nature and culture with an extremely knowledgeable guide. Mr. San, our driver, was a god send, providing ice cold water and icy lemon scented washcloths after every stop. This has been the most enjoyable three days of our holiday.

I had no idea the vastness of the temples & their history. Was so much to see & very different. We covered alot of ground but with the convenience of a constant pick ups/drop offs. My guide Sopphea Tham was so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and with his experience I captured some special pictures. He was very knowledgeable & informative on Cambodias ancient & recent history adding valuable context to the ruins seen. The waterfall alone was worth visiting kulan mountain however theres more to see.

I had booked the tour from their website for myself and my wife.
I was surprized by by the honesty they showed while booking , quoting the correct prize and full details of the tour.
The Guide Mr. Sokem and driver Mr. Sanna arrived on the dot of the time, everyday.
They provided us the luxury car Lexus.
The Guide Mr. Sokem is having very good knowledge about the history of the temples.
He explained us every thing in detail.
Mr.Sokem was very kind person and given us a helping hand while climbing through the steps of the temples ( Iam 70 years and my wife sixty years old)
I highly recommend Happy Angkor Tour for hasselfree and satisfying experience in Siem Reap Combodia.
Wish them all the luck.
