About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- KiwisDomAndJill0 contributionsSpectacular day trip from Siem Reap to Preah Vihear TempleWhat an amazing temple - but a long trek from Siem Reap. We intentionally truncated this tour from the three temples of Preah Vihear, Beng Mealea and the Koh Ker's Prasat Thom to 'just' the spectacular Preah Vihear temple. That alone involves a four-hour (don't believe anyone that tells you they can get you there in two and a half hours!) drive from Siem Reap. And that's just to the base of the mountain - there is then a 15-minute 4WD up the mountain. As an aside the US$25 for the hilltop 4WD transfer is NOT included in this tour price - despite what it says. The temple, our guide Thy (pronounced "Tee") and the views are all incredible - well worth the whole day involved. For us the day involved a 7:30am pick-up and we returned to our hotel at 5:30pm. This would make for a very, very long day if one tried to add the two other temples - and we suspect be somewhat overwhelming? As it was, with Preah Vihear temple on its own and the company of Thy and our driver, made for a very special day.Written 10 January 2025
- Karl M0 contributionsExcellent Driver / Excellent Experience! The ride coordinator was at my hotel early to make sure everything went smoothly. The driver showed up right on time, and we rolled right on schedule. Mr. Maknem was a very careful driver, but also he was quite efficient in negotiating the roads to get me to my destination as quickly as possible without sacrificing safety. Additionally, he was a very good conversationalist, and we spoke at length on many different topics. Finally, he cheerfully accommodated every request I made for stops, as necessary. This experience couldn’t have been any better - it was literally perfect. You can sit cramped up on some nightmare bus ride or you can shell out a couple of extra bucks to be a VIP for your journey. I’ll take this VIP experience over any other form of transportation from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh every time. GREAT TRIP!Written 31 December 2024
- 640carolynn0 contributionsHelpful, professional and informative guideThy has been great and very helpful throughout my trip. Always providing information and keeping me updated. A true highlight of my trip.Written 17 December 2024
- Passport307632597520 contributionsWonderful, Efficient, and ProfessionalI had to go from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh after running the Half-Marathon and must say that ordering this car service was a great decision! Phearum was there on-time (5:00 AM) and was friendly, efficient, and informative! He made sure to update me as to our progress along the way and also knew when to let me have a moment to rest my eyes. I would highly recommend using this “tour” as an alternative if you are unable to find easy flight connections from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh Airport. I will definitely use this service again next time I am in Cambodia.Written 4 December 2024

- D102QJjamieh0 contributionsAmazing tour with great guide! This was a great trip with an amazing guide. The temples at Angkor Wat, Bayon and Ta Phrom were beautiful and the guide showed it all plus interesting history. We had good food and refreshments. The bike ride was enjoyable and showed local areas and trails. The guide, Thy, was interesting and knowledgeable and made it a great experience 10/10 recommendWritten 15 October 2024
- 681shefalib0 contributionsBest Travel Company in Town.Mr Kong Thy and his team are the best. I would rate them as 7 star! Their professionalism with required personal touch added to our wonderful experience with them. Clean, new, comfortable vehicle. Chilled water bottles and refreshing towels placed in the vehicle were available wherever needed. Highly recommend their service.Written 7 October 2024
- I9926WZjonathanl0 contributionsBest car service experience in Siem Reap!!Incredible service!! I don’t know even know where to begin with how great Pitt and his team were. They were super accommodating, affordable, in constant communication, and helped us with last minute requests. Our driver, T, was very friendly, kind, on-time (early in fact), and professional. He greeted us with ice cold waters and cold AC. We used an airport transfer for both ways and both times it was super easy to find him as he we was already waiting for us at the right spot. Pitt was also very quick to respond to us with any questions and desired modifications. Cannot recommend this service enough. 10/10Written 5 October 2024
- moon04010 contributionsHappy day with Mr SyThatI stayed in SiemRiep for 3days, and bought the Angkor Pass 3days. I booked the tour on the last day after two days went and visited several Temples by Bicycle. I did the sunrise tour with Mr SyThat. Asked him a lot of questions 🤣 I feel so sorry about it, just bcuz I love history. He was very nice, kind and answered almost every question I asked. Really appreciate it. Even he sent me a lot of information via WhatsApp after the tour 👍. Thank you so much Mr SyThat .Written 14 June 2024
- nicolemW1419GI0 contributionsTripadvisor didn't pass on our Booking to Tour operatorTripAdvisor DID NOT pass on our booking to the Tour Company until the morning of our tour. We booked and paid well in advance. We called the Tour company as they were not at our Hotel as planned and they informed us that they had only just received the details from TripAdvisor and were frantically calling to try and find a car and a guide. We were supposed to be picked up at 7.40am but were waiting in the hot sun at 9.40am still waiting for a guide. Very Very Poor service from TripAdvisor and I wont book with them again. The Tour Company did their best for us and offered to extend our tour but as we were now walking Temples in the Full Heat of the day it was exhausting and not enjoyable. It was in no way the fault of The Tour Company "Angkor Thom Siem Reap Tour" as they had only been given our booking that morning. Maybe contact them direct rather than using TRIPADVISOR. Very Disappointing by TripAdvisor and a shame to have left a bad feeling with us rather than a happy one that we should of had, as we had planned well in advance.Written 25 February 2024
- daniel s0 contributionsAngkor Wat day tourWe booked this tour through Grab a Guide and was really worth it We went Sunday 17/12 in the morning and was quite quiet, thankfully Was supposed to be a group tour but due to lack of numbers turned into a private tour Our guide Chaat Long was knowledgeable and explained the history or the 3 temples we visited. Also looked after both me and my wife in the heat Took loads of photos in the best spots A really great experience and highly recommendWritten 17 December 2023
- fadanothai0 contributionsFantastic! This was an excellent tour and very worthwhile. The Peah Vihear Temple is amazing, on top of a small mountain (you access by hired truck with experienced drivers). The top has fantastic views of surrounding small mountains in Cambodia, Thailand and Laos. The lunch stop chosen was great. Koh Ker was mysterious, different and fun to climb up. It is in the peaceful countryside. The trip also allows you to see farms all along the way. The final stop of Beng Mealea was really amazing and special. I recommend not spending toooo long at the first two sights, so you have enough time to take in this sprawling, beautiful temple sight. The tour guide was very fun to hang out with and a good photographer for all you Instagrammers.Written 8 December 2023

Our guide's English was acceptable and Mr Sythat took his time to explain the temples in detail. We learned a lot. We greatly preferred using a Tuk Tuk over the bus. We did one tour in a small bus and felt the Tuk was by far the best way to connect with the area. He knew the best places to take pictures and planned the route to minimize the number of tourists at the temples (i.e. did Angkor Wat later in the day). Mr Sythat worked hard the long days to make sure our trip was enjoyable.

We found Guide Thy through some Google and Facebook research and couldn't be happier with our experience! We spent a full day exploring on scooters, giving us the freedom to discover the area at our own pace.
Thy picked us up from our hotel, and right away, we knew it would be an incredible day. He's not only super friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable. After grabbing breakfast during the drive, we started our adventure at the iconic Angkor Wat. Thy shared so much about the history and development of the temples over the centuries. Plus, he’s a fantastic photographer and knows all the best spots for photos!
For lunch, Thy took us to a local spot where we enjoyed delicious food and refreshing cold drinks—a perfect break in the middle of the day.
Next, we visited the Tonle Om Gate and the Bayon Temple. Thy explained how the temples were built back in the day, giving us a deeper appreciation for their beauty and significance.
Our final stop was the famous Ta Prohm, where massive trees have reclaimed the ancient structures—a truly magical experience.
To top it all off, when we returned to the hotel, Thy kindly wrote down some useful Khmer words for us.
We couldn’t be happier to have met Thy and highly recommend taking a tour with him. It was an unforgettable experience, thanks to his expertise, kindness, and attention to detail.
Thank you, Thy, for an incredible day!
