Our experience with Windhorse Tour was very satisfying. Victoria Zhu advised and assisted us in preparing the itinerary (Beijing, Xi'an, Zhangjiajie, Guilin, Yangshuo and Shangai), in practical instructions before departure and throughout the trip. Hotels, travel by plane, train and car with driver, booking excursions and visits to museums and attractions: everything went very well thanks to the efficiency, professionalism and kindness of this tour operator and Victoria Zhu. I can only echo the other reviews in relation to Windhorse. As an experienced traveller in China I chose to book through a travel agent due to uncertainties travelling around Xinjiang. Our consultant was Savannah who prepared a 13 day itinerary for us and customised it to include drivers but not translators, due to me knowing a bit of Chinese. We travelled from Lanzhou to Tashkurgan, via Dunhuang, Turpan, Kashgar and other stops along the way. The trip was also tailored to our budget, and a very fair price was quoted, without negotiation. There were a couple of minor hick-ups which were dealt with professionally and promptly. Our drivers were extremely experienced and professional. We felt like VIPs from start to finish. Savannah did a fantastic job.

We took part to a 15 days private tour in China, such an unforgettable experience! We really appreciated the promptness, kindness and the attention that our travel agent, Yuki, paid to our needs. Our guides were friendly and helpful and most of them spoke a very good English, making possible for us to enjoy the history of the country and the habits of the people. Drivers were gentle and professional. Hotels were beautiful, beyond our expectations. We also loved the three shows that we were suggested to enjoy. Me and my husband will keep in mind this vacation and we will consider this agency for planning future ones.

Importantly, we never had to stay in tents, which was a relief given the conditions. - Additional Visits: We also had the opportunity to visit the Great Wall of China and Qinghai Lake near Xining through the same agency. Both of these experiences were handled exceptionally well, and we were very pleased with the arrangements and the quality of service provided. - Travel Experience: Despite the long hours spent traveling in the van, the stunning landscapes made the journey enjoyable. The breathtaking views of the Tibetan plateau helped the time pass quickly and added a memorable dimension to our experience. The agency did an excellent job calculating the distances and travel times to ensure that the journey was not overly exhausting. The van itself was very comfortable and spacious, making the travel experience more pleasant - Recommendations: We highly recommend visiting the Everest Base Camp; it’s an awe-inspiring experience. As for the trek around Mount Kailash, we suggest undertaking it primarily if you are driven by a religious or spiritual belief. While the trek itself is beautiful, it did not deeply resonate with us personally. Additionally, be prepared for the long journey to and from the trek. Overall, our trip was a fantastic adventure, and we are grateful for the support and services provided.

This was a 9 day Western Sichuan trip which I did solo. Zoe was so helpful every step of the way. She even provided oxygen canisters because she was worried I might get altitude sickness. She picked great hotels for me. My guide Andy took care to ensure I had a great experience including carrying my backpack (plus his own) during hikes, ensuring I was well fed and hydrated, and identifying photo ops. Jia the driver managed to book me the best tickets in the house for last minute night activities. The Zhagana back mountain and Jiuzhaigou were particularly spectacular. I have used other top travel companies in China before but I would say Windhorse really delivers on high quality for very reasonable costs. Highly recommend.

We, a group of eight friends/family from US arranged a private tour of Tibet, including EBC and Kailash Parikrama. Victoria was the travel coordinator and she was simply awesome from start to finish. She was very responsive, provided accurate information, and was always available to help. She was often available late evening and weekends to cater to US time zone. Apart from Victoria, our Tibet Guide, Lobsang Nyima and our Beijing Guide Emily were also super awesome, very knowledgeable and very helpful . I would recommend windhorse tour team to anyone planning a trip in this part of the world.

We booked a private tour to Wutaishan with Yuki. She was well informed and kindly available to all our queries and questions that help tailoring our tour, and we had a lot :). We had very good recommendations and a reliable service, also very very good communication. Mr Hua - our driver went also beyond his duties to take care of us and ensure that we are safe and visiting all the places we wanted. Highly recommended!

Yuki, my travel consultant, is exceptional. She is over n above in her duties to service my private tour from Chengdu to Chongqing where we took a river cruise to Yichang, the three gorges dam. This made our tour tour very pleasant n enjoyable. From Yichang, we were driven to Zhangjiajie where we spend three days n three nights on a private tour. Private tour is the way to go for us seniors as we might not have the stamina for long walks n the patience to line up for the long quece. The arrangements n services provided by Wind Horse travel was excellent. No shopping, no sales on the en route. Tour agents make sure everything is arranged n make u have properly check in ur flights. Tour guides were very good n responsible. Yuki even assisted me to checked how much is my baggage allowance despite I had not booked the tickets with her. Even though my bulk sale tickets said 20 kg per person, she managed to find out that we were allowed to have 23 kg each. This helped to reduce our anxiety n avoid throwing things away. I m so gladful to Yuki. My friends who had booked through said she is very professional.

My friend and I did 11 days in Yunnan: Kunming, Lijiang, and Shangri-la. Windhorse Tour worked with us to craft an itinerary, they scheduled English speaking guides, drivers, lodging, domestic flights and bullet train. At the end, our flight in S-L was cancelled on the day before (we were to return to Chengdu and then fly home to US) and Windhorse worked out a solution within 2 hours. Each of the guides tailored their pace to fit ours (my friend is 82 and unable to walk fast nowadays). All in all, we felt cared about, had a great tour of these Yunnan highlights and would recommend Windhorse Tour to others.

This was my 2nd tour planned by Windhorse Tours (the 1st was to Tibet pre-pandemic) and Yuki provided a fantastic itinerary full of adventure activities and some sightseeing. Yuki notified me regularly about changes to flights and hotels as the holiday approached - thank you very much. The hotels Yuki selected were close to transport, shops and restaurants (a necessity for me because I have a bad sense of direction - not ha, ha). I specifically asked to have a driver each day (who initially met me at a airport or train station holding a sign with my name) to take me to different activities and not a guide because I prefer to race around each location at my own speed and this worked perfectly for this tour - with a little help from Satellite Navigation to ensure I returned to the vehicle at the end of visiting each location. I also arranged to have a free day in each city. I appreciated the drivers that Windhorse Tours selected who used clean modern cars, provided drinking water and waited (patiently) until I was ready to leave each location. I occasionally got phone calls from Jeffrey from Windhorse Tours in different cities to provide additional advice/suggestions. Windhorse Tours provided a range of payment options (in different currencies) and immediately provided payment receipts. I would definitely recommend using Windhorse Tours to provide a tailored plan/costing for your next holiday to China/Tibet.

Best travel agency you can find!! I'm super satisfied with the service, with the hotels Yuki booked, the trains everything was perfect! From the beginning Yuki immediately understood my needs and adjusted to my budget. Yuki provided me with an invitation for the visa in no time, she planned my trip in less than a week & she did an amazing job. She always answered super quickly to my messages. I had to change my itinerary once in China cause I got sick and Yuki was not only understanding and flexible but she was also asking about how I was feeling!!! Leisure / site seeing. Out four city two city tour guide were xhi an , shanghai they left us very disrespectful. Especially at Xi an guy left us with airport very disrespectfully felt stranded. At Shanghai tour guide asked for rating first then she said she won’t accompany to airport she is done felt like she first got her rating and tip before mentioning she is not coming. I won’t refer this tour agency to anyone

She helped us prepare our Visa application, was always very clear in her communication about this the Tibet tour we booked and almost always responded immediately. Even in Chengdu, where we met here, she helped us with the practical matters so that we could take the train to Lhasa without any problems. We did the 7 day tour from Lhasa to Gyirong port via EBC. The guide (and driver) was very professional, flexible and taught us a lot about Buddhism and Tibetan culture. If you want to be sure that everything is well arranged, Windhorse is a very good choice.

It was really right choice to visit China after my first meeting wirh this beautiful country in 1980th. That's almost impossible to make such a great economical development in just 43 years.I am really under the great impression.All our itinenery gave us the huge satisfaction to meet many historical places even the weather sometimes was not the best.Bejing,P[ng yao Xian gave us the look on the really great history of China and masterpieces of ancient architecture .Guilin, Li River cruse, Hangzou and Suzhou it was meeting with,unparalleled nature with fantastic gardens.
