Great Instruction in nice studio with AC
We took 6 hours of private salsa lessons and greatly improved our dancing. All three instructors—Cary, Natalia and Esteban- were truly gifted teachers with patience and kindness. We loved our experience. You will too!

      Fun Salsa time
Esteban was the best. Taught the basic steps and had us dancing in an hour. After our class we hit 2 bars and used our skills that we learned. This is not really a class for experienced dancers especially if there are a lot of beginners in the class. You would be bored. Overall we had a great night!

Highly recommend this tour for beginners, Esteban is a great teacher!
We booked this salsa tour to prepare us for an upcoming wedding. Although we had no prior dance experience, Esteban is a great beginner friendly teacher and he’s also a talented dancer. We started the tour in a dance studio to learn some basic moves on our own and with a dance partner, then we took it to a salsa bar (+ some mojitos) to put our moves to the test. Highly recommend this tour if you’re new to salsa dancing!

      Esteban is amazing!
Esteban was amazing! He brought us to the best places and was always there to help. He is a great teacher and tour guide. I would come back just for this tour again with him.

      Fun Salsa Dance Activity 💃🏽
Our instructor Kevin was engaging and very patient. Loved the “authentic” salsa club experience after the dance lessons. This activity really made our trip memorable! Please make sure to wear comfortable shoes!

      Nice intro to salsa
This was a great experience. After the basic introduction to salsa by our excellent and encouraging teacher, we enjoyed going to three bars with additional teaching from our friendly tour leader. This ended up being a private tour, which we did not expect, and it enabled us to get to know our tour leader. We had the bars to ourselves because most customers don't come until after 10. That was nice when we were not yet salsa experts.

Great for solo travelers wanting to get out and make friends
I wanted to go out dancing but felt nervous to go alone so I signed up for this tour and it felt like a great entry point. We had an hour lesson in the dance studio which was fun. The group was small, just me and two other women but they were lovely and both of the instructors Karin and Natalia were friendly and knowledgeable. We went to two bars and danced. They were small and it was early so the first one was empty but just going have me more of a point of reference around safety and vibe. I almost wish I had done this earlier in my trip because it made me feel more comfortable and confident about being out. We also stop by a plaza to watch breakdancing. It was fun and accessible.

Okay, but not what we expected
We enjoyed the class at the studio learning the salsa moves. When we left the studio and went “touring” the bars it was not what I expected at all. We thought there would be more dancing and more people, but we kind of just sat in a couple bars; one empty and one overcrowded. The square that had some dancers was cool and the walking through the night life was interesting, but we kind of felt left out since there was no English guide and we only speak a little Spanish. If you speak the language and are outgoing to dance in public this would be fine, but we felt out of place a bit at the bars.

      Fun afternoon
Had a great time with this group. You start at the ‘classroom” for a basic introduction to salsa steps and then you go to 3 different bars to practice the lesson. A fun evening experience that my group enjoyed

      Amazing Experience
We had a fantastic time on our salsa lesson and city tour. We went from the classroom to the bars to learn and practice right away. We give it our full recommendation!

      Unique Cartagena experience
Private lesson in the morning with a young girl ( so sorry can’t remember the name) she was super patient and a great teacher. Followed by the tour with Ruben and a young instructor who were both so energetic and enthusiastic and showed us the basic steps before taking us to some salsa hotspots. Would highly recommend this to meet nice, open minded people and explore new things. Also, drinks included. Thanks guys!

Level up your dancing with wonderful, skilled teachers at Crazy Salsa School
I took 14 hours of private lessons in 4 days! I wanted to level up my salsa and Bachata skills on my Cartagena vacation, and that's exactly what Crazy Salsa School did for me! I was so lucky and happy to have Esteban and Ruben as my own private teachers. Those 4 days were full of fun and challenges as my teachers customized each lesson to exactly what I wanted to work on and their assessment of what I needed to learn. Both of these guys encouraged me through my frustrations and were as excited as I was when I would finally do the steps we were working on. They were endlessly patient and encouraging, and incredibly skilled at unlocking the slight but important little changes to make to help me successfully do the steps/moves. These teachers got me to do moves I never thought I could do. Not all great dancers can teach; these guys (and also Natalia, who taught a great styling lesson) do both brilliantly. And the owner, Esmeralda, was incredibly responsive and flexible with scheduling. She allowed me to schedule according to what my plans were the next day. Reasonably priced, wonderfully taught, Crazy Salsa should be your Cartagena dance home!

Fun, supporting and unintimidating way to experience salsa dancing. So much fun.
I am not usually a dancer but I wanted to experience salsa dancing while in Cartagena. The brief class provides a fun, well-structured and supportive introduction (or more advanced instruction some) to salsa steps, rhythm and coordination with partner. We then went out to a couple clubs to dance and enjoy amazing music. I cannot recommend this enough.

One of my favorite nights in the old city!
My partner and I are big dancers so when we saw this package it was almost a no brainer. I've danced salsa and bachata for a few years now but I don't mind a refresher course get the body moving. This course not only accomplished that but introduced new and improved ways to approach old techniques. My partner and I had such a great time and the instructors were excellent at keeping everyone's attention and moving the party forward as we descended onto the city. The venues we visited were excellent right in the heart of Getsemani where all the action was on a Friday night. It was the perfect way to start our night and would definitely recommend to anyone trying to get the party started.

Mayra was awsome instructor. She was details with the steps and made sure you do it right. After the Salsa lession and practice we Salsa way to the three different Salsa bars. It was fun night. She was more fun when we went to bars and had drinks. Lol. It was evening well spent. She also taught bachata in one of the bar. She was happy and it made us happy. You can see the love for Salsa flowing out her body via dance moves. Highly Recommended!

First time in Colombia and had to take salsa lessons. We had a group of 9 and we learned alot in 1 hour. Our teacher was great. He helped us and showed us the basics to know how to do a dance.I would have loved to learn more so I could really do out and dance for right now at least I can 2 step lol. Fun time I recommend doing it for the culture and for yourself to dance in the clubs.

Stayed in Cartagena over a week learning how to dance with crazy salsa. The teachers are great, the location is central and the space is nice with a balcony overlooking the centre.

If you are looking to improve your salsa , just beginning or just want to get a vibe of Latin dancing this place is it in Cartagena!

Fun local salsa dance class. We learned the basic steps and off we go to local salsa club. Just enough for us to practice before the more advanced steps.

This was not a great experience we were charged 250 usd for just half an hour for 5 of us! The teaching was ok but done with no enthusiasm and we left feeling ripped off. We were so excited but definitely a let down.

Dear N7071..., You might have gotten confused. Our shortest product is the Open Group Class, which is 1 hour long, and costs 10 to 12USD. Our most expensive product is the Salsa Tour, which is 35 to 40 USD, and is a 3 hour tour (1 hour salsa class, 2 hours bar hopping with beverages included). There is no way anybody in our team did what you mention here. We are sorry you got ripped off, but it was nothing booked through us. Best, Your Crazy Salsa Team
