    Expensive and underwhelming
Expensive and underwhelming, not worth the trip. There’s a few photos of Pablo and some cars, but nothing notable and we were quite done with it after only 5-10 minutes

    Don't bother.
Don't bother. There were lots of photos and not much else. It's not worth the cost and very cheesy. Felt a bit of a sucker going there.

Very interesting and the right duration
Very interesting. Was not expecting it to last long as it is set in one of his old properties (stash house) but it lasted 45 mins and the guide was very good

    Complete garbage
Some photos and unrelated things. Overpriced as hell. Don’t waste your time. The guide was nice, but asked for more money in the end.

    Pablo Escobar Museum Review
Fernando gave my group the greatest experience at this museum. He was enthusiastic with his explanations and gave us a true feel of how things used to be when Pablo Escobar was alive and after his death. I would love to go to any museum with Fernando explaining the history due to him keeping us interested and providing details about the history. I HIGHLY recommend coming here to learn the history about Pablo Escobar.

    Stay away!
Horrible experience. super expensive, looks almost fake, the guide was super fan of Pablo Escobar and told us lies about the history of Pablo Escobar. Pablo Escobar was a cruel murderer and not a hero. In the end of this horrible experience the guide was asking for a tip??? 30$ for 30 minutes of nothing. If you want to see history about Pablo Escobar go for Hacienda Nápoles

I am truly baffled by any good reviews for this "museum." It was just a small house in the suburbs of Medellin with a few possessions that used to belong to Pablo Escobar. The tour guide wasn't very useful and wasn't necessary. He told us that the tour would last up to an hour and a half, before proceeding to take us to the backyard of this property and showing using 5 items that used to belong to Escobar, including a car, a jetski, a small plane, a drawing made by Escobar, and a photo of Escobar and some other individuals. For the price of admission, which was around $40.00 USD per person, I would say that your money is much better spent doing other activities in this beautiful city. FYI, the tour lasted a total of 29 minutes. Most legitimate museums in Medellin have an admission of $5.00 USD or less.
I would recommend to avoid this place at all costs.

This tour is the worst I have been on for quite some time .. The museum in it-self is so small you could go through it in 5 minutes with nothing spectacular and the guided tour is a whole other story … The guide provided obviously fake information and is trying to glorify the life of Pablo Escobar with their propaganda. They tell you that the things you already know aren’t true and instead tell you the “real” story. This is all because the museum is owned by Escobars brother so they are obviously biased (and don’t even give information that can’t be found on the internet except for fake stories). Be careful about what you believe and know that this museum is very disrespectful to the people that have been killed by Escobar and all of Medellin and Colombia.

Wish I hadn’t contributed to this.

One of the worst tours ever! Very boring, unorganised, the guide barely spoke English and they banged on about wild theories that Escobar killed himself. If you’re thinking about visiting the museum or even worse, doing the full tour, don’t bother - this place is absolutely horrendous! Save your money and just get a taxi to his grave, that was really the only place worth visiting (and even then it’s just a grave). 110% would not recommend!

Im typically not one to write reviews but I enjoyed this tour so much I felt obligated. I took the full tour that included the museum, sight seeing of multiple locations, and I was also chauffeured around in a completely armored vehicle instead of a tour bus. I had a blast. I 100% recommended this tour to anyone visiting Medellin. Especially if your tour guide is Caleb (Cubano). I couldn't have asked for a better tour guide. Cubano was knowledgeable, welcoming, friendly, and frankly the reason I enjoyed this tour. I had a beyond excellent experience. With Cubano you are guaranteed 100% satisfaction.

I'm convinced that the museum's high ratings are more the result of Escobar's popularity and fame than the quality of the museum. The cars, front rooms, and courtyard are typical for museums established from individual's former homes (i.e. Elvis, George Washington, Nelson Mandela, etc). Beyond that, I'd consider the visit a waste of 90-minutes. The "guide" spent a significant amount of time sharing stories about Escobar's family and affinity for expensive things (which is obvious) than narrating the museum. As others have stated, hosts border on glorifying Escobar vs informing guests. If you go, manage your expectations so your visit isn't anticlimactic like mine.

The storytelling by Fernando was very engaging and he ensured we understood the life of Pablo especially keeping in mind that time period. It was a learning and entertaining experience. English language big plus. Highly recommended.

Definitely worth visiting if you're in Medellín. The museum guide shared a wealth of information in regards to the photos and items during the tour. She answered all of my questions in detail.

You are provided an insight into Pablo's past, family life, contributions& perversions. You leave with a better understanding of who he was as a person within the context of 1980's Colombia.

Probably the thing I liked the most about the tour is that the items displayed were actually used by Pablo & the Medellin Cartel. There were little-to-no barriers between you and the items. They were not props or replicas.

A very interesting tour. Set in one of Pablo’s stash houses, and run by his living brother. “Cuba” was our tour guide. I learned quite a bit of history, and some new facts about Pablo’s life and business. After the museum, we went in a bulletproof car to see other locations that Pablo owned, and ended the tour at his gravesite.

Some great original exhibits, photographs, and stories told by an excellent guide! It may feel a little expensive when you arrive, but there are stories woven into the museum that are really interesting to see and interact with. I knew a little about Pablo Escobar's life before arriving here, but I learned a lot about his intriguing and fascinating story, all illustrated by our guide was full of energy, polite, patient, and really good fun.

All the staff were very polite and made the experience fun. Definitely worth a visit if you are Medellin!
