Highly recommend. Our tour guide was Juan Pablo. His English was excellent and he happens to be a very good photographer. We had a really great day. Private bus with a/c. Great lunch. Guide was patient and helpful during shopping.

Colorado Valley and Salento Family Experience
Gustavo led our family on a scenic and educational tour of Cocora Valley and Salento. We hiked in the valley and saw the breathtaking diversity of the surroundings. The wax palms, the condor, parrots, and flowers were beautiful. Gustavo was very friendly and knowledgeable, that also has a cinematographic eye with the pictures he took for us.

        A must, 5 stars!
5 stars! The trip was very well planned and our guide, Juan, was super friendly, helpful, and extremely knowledgeable about the local plants and birds, and the history and conservation of the beautiful places we visited.

        Into the Jungle
Tour started with about a one hour comfortable van ride from our Pereira hotel with our tour guide, Augusto, and our driver, Jose Miguel. At the main square in Filandia we transferred to a "Willy," a Jeep, that took us to our "starting point" into the jungle. They offer different lengths depending on abilities. Guide, Alejandro, was very experienced, 11 years fighting the drug trade in the jungle for the army. We lucked out with a dry day, not many of these typically we were told. After our jungle experience, we went into Filandia for lunch (included). The food and the view were excellent. After that, we walked around town, visited the basket weaving museum (actually, this was intetesting), and a little bit of shopping before our ride back to the hotel. All 4 of us thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it.

Beautiful Nature and charming, colorful little towns
The driver picked us up from our hotel in time, we met our guide Gustavo in Salento, then we continued our journey to the beautiful Cocora Valley. We hiked up to the second viewpoint, where the view was breath taking, while we had lots of interesting conversation. He was extremely patient during the day, as I am a photo maniac, so wanted to make hundreds of pics all around. He was so kind to take us to the river too, (just 10 min walk) to experience the totally different vegetation, and crystal clean water. After lunch, we spent an hour in both colorful little town, Salento and Filandia. We highly recommend this tour, ask for Gustavo if you can, he is a brilliant guide!

        AMAZING guide and tour
We were picked up on time at our hotel in Salento for our private tour for 2 people. Our guide Gustavo and driver Hernan were exceptional. We couldn’t have asked for a more professional and engaging experience. We never felt rushed at all. We took our time at the end of the hike to the wax palms and spent about 30 minutes relaxing and taking in the view. Lunch was amazing. And the coffee experience was very informative. I wouldn’t do this with anyone else - one bit of advice - request Gustavo as your guide!! You could tell he loves his job :)

        Beautiful, Safe and Entertaining!
An amazing experience!!!! If you want to feel safe, entertained and learn about the amazing history of Pereira, check out Nature Trips! Gustavo was the best guide, always looked out for us and was extremely friendly!! So much so that we told him if he ever was in Houston to give us a call! Loved all the tours: el rio la vieja, Cocora, Salento, Filandia, La Finca del Cafe, and los Termales. Great experience, great transportation and amazing tour guides! They are the best! Saludos de Daniela!

        Best Salento Tour!!
Yasmin was a dream! So patient and kind with us—despite us being 30 minutes late for our start! A true angel. Our hike was absolutely beautiful, as was the coffee tour, and Yasmin customized to add in some time for us to play a game we were dying to try (tejo) as well as buying chocolates! Thank you for putting up with us goofballs, Yasmin! You were amazing!!

        Unforgettable Experience. HIGHLY recommend!!
What a wonderful experience. Starting with communication, Diana was very helpful and responsive. We started our tour right on time by being picked up at the location of our choice. First, we traveled to the valley of Cocora. our guide, Jhon Took the necessary time to talk to us about the local area and the history of the valley. He was extremely knowledgeable on birds, landscape, the very tall wax palms, and we prayed to see a condor. Jhon was on the lookout the entire time and suddenly the condor appeared. many people from the area spend their entire lives without seeing one due to their endangered status. He was very patient with me especially due to my difficulty breathing with the high elevation. Recommend having comfortable shoes with grip if you plan to walk up the sides of the very steep hills. If you have hiking shoes I recommend bringing those for this portion of the tour. we drove through Salento And as a personal suggestion on my part I asked to skip the stop in Salento due to a National holiday which caused heavy traffic and an excessive flow of people. This was completely a choice I asked for as I will return to Colombia at another time. After the valley we had an amazing lunch that is included in the price. The location was absolutely stunning with the most beautiful vibrant colors and the most fantastic food. finally we went to the coffee farm. We had coffee in an open air balcony followed by the tour guide from the farm who took us on a tour of the entire process. We donned our uniforms and headed out to pick coffee. The amount of information that was provided to us on the process of coffee production was astonishing and I have such a great appreciation for what farmers do on coffee farms. This was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had. Being a child of Colombian Parents I truly felt connected with the land in with my people. Everyone spoke English so phenomenally. My husband who speaks a small amount of Spanish was able to communicate freely and well with everyone we encountered. Our driver Ramiro was extremely endearing and very fun to communicate and spend the day with. When I come back to Colombia I will more than likely do this tour again because the amount of beauty and nature that I saw is hard to compare. it was definitely a major highlight of my visit and I would recommend this trip to anyone. Jhon was is extremely knowledgeable and was wonderful at answering all of our questions.

        Wonderful day tour
Wonderful activity! After a hike in de Cocora Valley, our fantastic guide Davide showed us several spots around Solento. We had a delicious lunch + super visit of a coffee plantation. I would definitely recommend, especially with Davide as a guide!!!

        Fun with Coffee
We had a good time learning about the coffee growing, making, exporting, and cultural history in Colombia. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the coffee. We got to try one kind of the roasting process of the coffee (washed). Lunch is at a different location. The hot springs are an hour away from the tour location too. I also went on Nature Trips' Chocolate & Exotic fruit tour. I would HIGHLY recommend that tour over this coffee tour if you had to choose. You get coffee in the other tour too.

Great experience for a family of 15!
We were a family of 15, including kids, infants and senior people. The driver and guide were very accommodating and patient. They worked with us and our schedule and the experience was great from planning to execution. We had an awesome time, learned a lot, had great food and pictures! The coffee tour, Valle del Cocora and Salento were great. Elkin the driver and Jose the tour guide were excellent! I would highly recommend this agency and tours!

This is exactly what we were looking for — an educational tour about how coffee is grown, cultivated and the entire process. Juan Pablo was our guide and spoke very good English and shared much knowledge and answered many questions. He was personable with a good sense of humor and seemed genuinely interested in teaching us about the process. After the coffee tastings (and quiz) we headed back to the house where we had a frozen coffee lemonade, which was very refreshing after our tour through the hillside.

Our group of six loved the coffee tour, which really does take you from the seeding process to harvesting and stripping your own berries, and then to a tasting of on-the-spot ground and roasted coffee. I haven’t looked at or enjoyed a cup of coffee quite the same way since (in a good way). We appreciated how seriously our guide took the craft of coffee-growing and how proud he was of the result. We found it best to go with his flow, don the requisite poncho and wide-brimmed hat, and use our baskets for highly selective picking. A bonus was how beautiful the farm was – quite hilly with enough shades of green to rival Ireland.
