We went first to Cairo and then to Sharm El Sheikh. Our stay in Cairo was amazing; the hotel was fantastic, the service and food was super nice (Sabry the concierge was extremely helpful and attentive, we are truly grateful) and the day tour to the pyramids and the museum was an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Isham, was the best we could ever ask for; he knows so much and showed us lots around the city. When we arrived in Sharm El Sheikh, we were welcomed by Ibrahim, he was super nice and helpful and helped us with everything, and could answer all of our doubts and requests. The resort we stayed in Sharm was gorgeous, the food was amazing and the pools plus the sea are a must to visit!! In Sharm, we went snorkeling twice: the first time was better than the second time (I suggest tourists to buy their own masks to snorkel); the coral reef was breathtaking and there were lots of colorful fish! Then we also went to ride quads in the desert, and enjoyed the desert view plus tea with the desert people (careful: the guys that take pictures of you on the quad will do so without asking you for consent and then ask for money! Be very firm with your no!!). All in all, it was a wonderful holiday and thanks to Memphis for organizing it for us!!

This is the first time I have written a review, but after the amazing day spent with our tour guide, Mahmoud Elbelbisi, I have decided to do so. He is a must have if visiting St. Catharine Monastery and the Colored Canyon , he explained all the details with good storytelling style and is a very knowledgeable guide. We could not have asked for anyone better to make this trip unforgettable. Thank you and for Memphis Tours for doing a great job organizing everything.

Had a great day out with our lovely Guide Engy, she was very knowledgable and friendly and took us up to the monastery. Do not be put off by the extra security on the trip, it didn’t interfere or spoil the day, I’m sure it’s just there to cover insurance etc. At know point did we feel uneasy. Thoroughly recommend a tour with her

We arrived in Sharm el-Sheik on 2nd November and were pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and expert guidance we were given. It’s a shame people are apprehensive of the area due to the current situation but if you’re thinking about Egypt and Sharm el-Sheikh in particular let me tell you there is absolutely nothing to worry about. Memphis tours staff are professional and the place is in need of more tourists. I’d definitely recommend coming here now. Amazing weather. Amazing diving. Amazing food. Amazing people. We were very sad to leave on 5th but so glad we didn’t cancel. There is nothing at all to be concerned about.

Memphis tours looked after us really well, on our Egypt trip, very reliable and well organised. In Hurghada, we went on a great cruise/snorkelling trip and Mahmoud looked after us really well. The guys on the boat called Dream T were excellent also and made the snorkelling really enjoyable for all levels whether you were comfortable in the water or not. Stopped twice for some snorkelling and saw the Corel reefs and amazing variety of fish. Then spent a couple of hours on Jiftun Island which was lovely too. So all in all a great trip and would do it again. All the staff we met with Memphis were excellent 👍

Monastery set against amazing mountain landscape. Its history, significance & Unesco status makes the long journey worthwhile. Hanfy the guide was lively & knowledgeable, sharing so many facts & anecdotes about the site that kept us entertained. His passion for the monastery was infectious. Lunch at Dahab was generous & scrumptious. As we were tired but wanted to pick some stones from the rocky plains, he stopped & helped picked up some for us.

Our tour was perfect. The drive was pleasant throughout the whole tour, and our guide was amazing! Mahmoud knows a lot about History and his explanations were always super complete and interesting. Visiting the Monastery was a dream come true for us, if you visit, don’t miss out the icons gallery, with some of the most important arts in the world. It was an incredible and unforgettable tour, thank you Memphis team!

This was an amazing trip. Our tour guide, Mahmoud Hanafy, was very knowledgeable and very responsible. He always went the extra mile for use to enjoy our trip. We felt safe during the whole time with the tour. I would recommend Mahmoud 100%. 👌

This day trip is a must do! The vistas of the Sinai along the way are mesmerizing. Catherine’s Monastery, tand the views that can be seen from the mountain are breathtaking. Our favorite was the jeep ride and walk through the Colored Canyon . It was MAGICAL. Our guide was Mahmoud Hanafy. He was excellent. He was professional, and charming and explained everything with a passion and deep connection to the subject matter that came clearly through!

This tour offered us an interesting overview of the city. We learnt about history, religion, culture and much more. Some places we was able to visit was the Havenly Cathedral, the old market, Al Sahaba mosque, we also had a few stops for shooping and at the end we stop to drink a tea in Farsha mountain lounge. We were very lucky to meet our professional guide, Hanafy Mahmoud, and I want to thank him because he was incredibly considerate, super friendly, helpful, extremely knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic afternoon in Sharm. Defintely when we’ll come back we’ll contact him for Santa Catherine’s tour because we know that he’s the best. If you ask about our oppinion,this is it: time and money well invested. Highly recommended!

Our day at St. Catherine’s and Mount Sinai (Moses Mountain) was amazing thanks to our lovely guide, Mahmoud Henafi. He is a human form of sunshine - his positive energy radiates and his smile is infectious. Henafi made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the trip and had a wealth of knowledge. He is very passionate about his work and that showed throughout the day. He is friends with everyone! From the locals to the security at checkpoints to workers on the site, they constantly reminded us how amazing of a man Henafi was. That re-affirmed that we hit the jackpot with our tour guide! Henafi was sadly not with us throughout the hike, we were with a local who lived on site. But Henafi was there to greet us with a big smile after we were done. Would definitely recommend doing the hike during the day - the mountain isn’t nearly as busy as it is in the night tours (we only passed 2-3 small groups going up). Also, we were able to enjoy the gorgeous views with sunlight. Henafi even took us to a local restaurant in Dahab (Ali Baba Restaurant) with delicious food after our hike. We are so thankful for Henafi, he made us feel like family from the very beginning and went above and beyond for us. If you can request to do your tour with this man, I promise you won’t regret it!

We went with Hanafy to Mt. Sinai and had an absolutely lovely time together. Hanafy is so sweet and I can’t imagine doing this tour without him. He explained all the need-to-know details in a very understandable and interesting way and even lent us his backpack and sweater just in case we got cold on the hike. I’m very impressed with the tour, and Hanafy made it a once in a lifetime moment. If you have the option on your guide, Hanafy is absolutely the way to go

We went to St. Catherine’s Monastery and on the way back we stopped off the Red Sea in Dahab for lunch. We had a very interesting and informative visit to the monastery. The guide was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. We highly recommend using this guide.

We enjoyed our tour so much with Memphis Tours! We had a blast and learned so much about the history of the monastery and even its surroundings. Our tour guide, Engy, is amazing, kind, and so knowledgeable. She not only told us about St. Katherine’s history, but also about Sharm El Sheikh and Egypt in general (from the pharaohs until now). 100% recommend!!! 🙌🏽
