Fantastic tour with a couple caveats
The guide, Srinu, was very knowledgeable, the temples very fascinating, and lunch was delicious as well. My only marks against the tour are: 1) The fact it's a 4 hour trip each way, which wasn't clear from the info here. Knowing that ahead of time would have been nice to be able to plan accordingly. 2) After getting back to Hyderabad we went to a shop with an *extremely* pushy owner who wouldn't accept no for an answer and just kept pestering me to buy very expensive things. Having to tell a guy no over and over again for 30 minutes is not my idea of fun and really took away from the experience.

Excellent tour with very knowledgeable guide.
An excellent tour round some highlights of Hyderabad. My guide Murthy was very knowledgeable and articulate about the history of each place we visited. Murthy was also extremely considerate of my age and very patient in terms of taking time to make some of the more arduous climbs (Goloconda Fort). His combination of great knowledge and equal kindness made for a truly exceptional and memorable tour. Murthy also helpfully pointed out other places of interest as we travelled so that I can visit at a later date. And lunch was great! A first class tour. Thank you Murthy!

      Great visit to Hyderabad
This visit was part of our third private tour with 5 Senses (first tour, So. India for a month; second No. India for 5.5 weeks; third East and South India, one month). You might have guessed that we are very happy with the company. All three tours were fantastic, this one no exception. There is not a lot to see in Hyderabad, but it's still worth a tour (especially if you're there for work and have a free weekend). John, our 5 Senses local guide, was very good. Don't miss his "tea stall visit" in the market--you won't forget it! The primary strength of 5 Senses is its people. The owner, Mr. Narayanan, is a great travel planning partner (he’ll work with you to craft exactly the trip you want) and he is super-responsive during trips if any problems arise. I am confident that Narayanan will fix it if it needs fixing—he has helped us several times in that way, and he has done it quickly. The state-based “cultural ambassadors” he has recruited (the guides who accompany you for days, across multiple sites) are excellent and soon become friends. For this month-long tour, I’d particularly like to call out Kannan (Tamil Nadu) and Mohan, and Chandra Shekar (Karnataka). If you are touring other parts of the country, we highly recommend Balwinder (Punjab and Rajasthan) and Vivek and Ram Sewak (Varanasi, Khajuraho and environs). It is basically a fool’s errand to try to price shop local tour operators—there are too many variables, including the type of accommodation, the quality of guides and the quality of transport (both of which can’t be assessed ahead of time). That said, over the course of the three tours, we feel that 5 Senses has been very good value for money. And I can say for certain that you would pay three times as much for the same Smithsonian or Nat Geo or other corporate tour, plus you’d be on a bus with many other folks and stuck with the group schedule. With 5 Senses you’re in your own car deciding where and when you want to go, where you want to eat, and when you want to take it easy. My advice to friends looking for a private tour in India is “don’t bother contacting other companies, just talk to 5 Senses. You won’t regret it.”

Interesting and entertaining tour through Hyderabads history
The tour with our tour guide John was not only interesting but also very entertaining. John tells the history with a lot of stories so we had fun and laughed a lot while learning about Hyderabad and the Nizam dynasties. I will never forget the visit in the bakery with mouthwatering biscuits hot from the oven. I can really recommend this tour.

Awesome walking tour of Hyderabad Old City
Fantastic walking tour of the old city of Hyderabad. My tour guide John was very knowledgeable and helpful. He made me feel at home as a tourist visiting India for the first time. We did an in-depth tour of Chowmahalla palace, Charminar, and the Mecca Masjid. We finished with delicious tea and cookies in the Laad Bazaar. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking to explore the old city.

      Best Hyderabad Tour
My solo tour of Hyderabad was absolutely fantastic, and a huge part of that was thanks to my incredible guide, John! From the moment we met, John's enthusiasm and deep knowledge of the city were evident. He brought the magnificent Golconda Fort and the opulent palaces to life with captivating stories and historical context. I truly felt transported back in time. What made this tour extra special was that John didn't just show me the famous landmarks; he also shared the hidden gems and local favorites that most tourists miss. We explored bustling markets, visited serene temples, and I got a real feel for the heart of Hyderabad. And the food! John took me to a local spot for lunch, and it was a very delicious and authentic Indian meal. It was such a treat to experience the vibrant culture and rich history of Hyderabad with such a knowledgeable and personable guide. I highly recommend John and this tour to anyone visiting Hyderabad – you won't be disappointed! It was an unforgettable experience.

      Hyderabad is surprising
Be ready to climb like a mountain goat but the views are amazing and well worth it. Suresh made sure I had good photos of myself at the different locations. Eating with my hand was fun. The Iranian chai was delicious. I learned a lot about the city that I did not know before. Be ready to pay attention of your surroundings so you do not get run over by the crazy traffic. I had a lot of fun and was tired when I finished. Highly recommended.

This nighttime food tour was the perfect way to dive into the city the night we arrived. We had a great time wandering with our guide John. We had great food from places we wouldn't have been brave enough to try (let alone to find!) on our own. He was good natured and fun to hang out with, and great at taking photos of the night. It was very clear he wanted to fit the tour to our needs - and gave the impression much of it could be modified if necessary. We told him we wanted to be adventurous and we did just that! It was a great memory, and would totally recommend this tour to travellers looking to get an authentic local flavor!

We did the food walk tour in the Hyderabad old city with Mr Srinu. It was a wonderful gastronomic experience. All along the walking tour he shared plenty of historical facts and wonderful tit bits. At the end of it we wished the tour lasted a bit longer so that we could have sampled many more culinary delights the old city has to offer.

We had an amazing time on the food walk with John! This is the perfect tour for the adventurous traveler who wants to experience authentic local food in Hyderabad. We would’ve never found the restaurants that John took us to on our own - plus going with a local guide makes the experience infinitely more fun and informative! Be aware that you will eat a lot! Don’t eat lunch before your evening tour as you will not leave hungry. :)

This tour is labelled wrong, we thought that we would be walking around Hyderabad sampling food, indeed the pictures we saw gave that impression. All you do is walk back and forth across a carpark, from 2 restaurants, the first one is a fast food restaurant where you are given 2 types of Chicken, then you walk back across the carpark and have a Biryani in a restaurant, the tour is finished off with milky Tea.
One of our party was vegan and there was no alternative provided, so they only had a veg biryani.
The food itself was delicious, but the your itself was misrepresented.

Had a blast eating with our guide, John. Forgot that we were on a tour and felt like dinner with a good friend. The biryani was sooo good and the place we ate at was packed (so you know everyone thinks so too). I would recommend this tour and would do it again with John anytime due to the authenticity and flavor.

Fabulous tour guide and historian Srinu gave us 2000 years of Indian culinary history that prepared us to fully appreciate the Hyderabadi delicacies we were about to eat. Such a lovely and fun evening learning the history and taste of many Hyderabadi culinary traditions. Would totally recommend to any omnivorous foodie!

Simply awesome! The food trail was finger licking and our guide ensured we tasted the best of Hyderabad food. We enjoyed the famed Hyderabad biriyani and then had awesome kebabs. We also got to taste some amazing local dessert whose name skipped my mind. Even the Tea or chai as it was called was accompanied by a local speciality of biscuits called Osmania. An out and out fun day out in Hyderabad for foodies.

I had a stopover in hyderabad and decided to explore the food scene. I had heard about the amazing food streets. So I took this evening food trail and it was very good. It was literally a feast over 2.5 hours. My guide knew his food and got me to the best places for Biriyani which is flavoured rice and accompaniments. I also got to taste the juicy kebabs! The dessert scene was indulging with all sorts of traditional sweets. Even the tea here was unique. They call it the irani chai. This is a great way to explore the good culture of Hyderabad.
