- MMK8280 contributionsGreat Day TripIt is a nice private day tour. Being a private tour, they were able to adjust timing a bit. We were picked from our Ahmedabad hotel on time. Car provided was in very good condition and chauffer was polite. Tour guide Anant was experienced and had good knowledge not only about the monuments we visited but also the region. Both the Modhera Sun Temple and Rani ki Vav are great places. One can't imagine how they must have looked in their full glory before the foreign invaders looted and destroyed temple. Both are must visit places. Patola saree weaving felt bit of a let-down - It is just an exhibit and they have no-photographs policy.Written 2 February 2025
- Anita W0 contributionsPerfect way to spend a day when visiting AhmedabadI was traveling solo for work and added this tour at the last minute and am so glad I did. My guide Anant Bhavsar was incredibly knowledgeable. We stopped as he pointed out local birds. He told me the history of the locations. He explained the mythology and folklore of the carvings and the mathematical and astronomical highlights of the sun temple. I have fantastic photos and can’t wait to come back for more.Written 1 February 2025

- Explorer010098984230 contributionsInsightful and friendlyWe had a very enjoyable trip with our guide Jamshed. He met us in the lobby of our hotel and together with our driver took us on a very good trip with lots of interesting facts and stories of the places we were visiting, but also the areas we drove through. Jamshed seemed very knowledgeable and could answer all our questions.Written 26 January 2025
- I2687LPstephaniec0 contributionsA wonderful experience overall. Culturally rich. This was a wonderful cultural experience learning the rich history of Stepwell and The Sun Temple. - Curious424834586890 contributionsGreat Experience! This was our last tour after a 10 day trip, we were tired and with low expectations; however, when we arrived at the temples it was something out of this planet. Malek and Bhavani (guide and driver), they make sure that we had a great time and a great lunch. Fully recommend destination.Written 5 January 2025
- Explorer397066497920 contributionsPleasant, efficient trip to historical sites in GujaratI was looking for a safe, quick way to visit Rani Ki Vav since this was first time visiting India for me. This tour is the most reliable one I could find online. Transportation was efficient, and the guide was great. Taking public transit is an alternative option, but it would take 3 days instead of 1. I don't have unlimited vacation time, so this was perfect for me. I recommend this tour to people who wants to save time.Written 18 December 2024

- Glenn T0 contributionsA wonderful experience to these treasures of Gujarat!Malek was very well versed about the history of the places we visited. We had interesting discussions while driving to these sights and learned a lot about the life of Gujarat. The step well and sun temple were amazing! Fascinating sites! The Patan Patola heritage sari weaving studio was interesting too. My wife visited it in 1999 and wanted to be sure it was on this itinerary for me to see. We were surprised to see her entry and note on the regisry from 1999 which made the experience even more enjoyable with so many memories! The family that runs this studio was very sweet and showed us how important it is to preserve their old culture in making these exquisite saris. This all day tour was worth doing! Highly recommend!Written 6 December 2024
- 538rachely0 contributionsAmazing tour from Ahmedabad! This was a wonderful tour that was door to door. They picked me up from my hotel and returned me back. Traveling solo made this very important to me for safety reasons. My guide was Sanket and was very informative and answered all of my questions. We had very interesting conversations on the drive out of the city. The Sun Temple was amazing and I learned about the history of the structure as well as the identity of many of the statues on it. He took beautiful photos for me with my phone and knew the right places to take the best shots. The Stepwell was mind blowing in size and Sanket walked me through the levels and explained the purpose of them. The last stop was Patola where I learned the process to make the most detailed sarees that involves dyeing each silk thread individually for the horizontal and vertical prior to weaving them together to form the most precise and gorgeous patterns. Only one family knows this process. Overall an amazing tour! Thanks so much for all I was able to see and learn.Written 6 December 2024
- fionai8830 contributionsLovely DayThe tour guide was very knowledgeable and could tell us losts of information about India and the history of the statue of unity. He was always checking to make sure we were comfortable. The only disappointing thing was the taxi was late picking us up in the morning and then we needed to get gas ⛽️.Written 2 December 2024
- Jessicapeters1230 contributionsExcellent day tripThe statue of unity is a lovely excursion from Ahmedabad. The statue is spectacular and imposing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the contribution of Sardar Patel in unifying India. The statue is decided to him. The tour included a lovely indian lunch. Highly recommended .Written 1 December 2024

We came to Ahmedabad for 4 days for a wedding. The bride made tour arrangements through our hotel for our first day. The tour guide picked us up and it turned out they only sent a driver who did not speak English even though my brother-in-law had made it clear that we wanted an English speaking tour guide and not just a driver. He was dropping us places with no context and no help navigating the language barriers. I reached out to Five Senses Tour at about 9:40 am at our first stop when it became clear the tour wasn't going to work. They responded within an hour and arranged for Girish to meet us at Sabarmati Ashram within 2 hours. This was so amazing since it was also New Year's Day.
Girish took over our tour and gave us an great, in-depth tour of the Ashram, Hutheesing Jain Temple, showed us one of the old city gates, got us tea and a butter sandwich at Lucky Restaurant, showed us The House of MG, and told us about Sidi Saiyyed Mosque. We enjoyed his tour so much that we arrange to do the World Heritage City Tour with Girish on our last day in Ahmedabad.
Girish was so knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his city and wants everyone to love Ahmedabad. It was also clear, while we were walking around, that the locals appreciate Girish as well. We really appreciate their taking us on last minute tour!

This was my first time in India, travelling solo and this was one of the most pricey tours I’ve ever chosen. But I can say it was worth every cent/rupee.
My guide was highly attentive (like when I told him I needed a rest room), fully knowledgeable (about local sights, their context and history) and positively spirited (making the day fun as well as deeply culturally interesting).
I highly recommend it to others.

My guide Bhupendra was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about all of the sites, and made sure I was always safe and comfortable. This is a great tour to get to know Ahmedabad a little more, and my favorite, to visit Gandhi Ashram. One thing I recommend to add to this description is that women should consider bringing a light scarf to cover their head in the Hutheesing Jain Temple.

I had a very good experience today. Guide Girish had a good plan and was very informative, calm and patient and even accommodated a post office visit for me to mail post cards home. He was kind enough to get me in touch with local artists too and help me plan my stay in Ahmedabad. The complimentary traditional lunch was fantastic! I would definitely recommend the 5 Senses tour.

My day in Ahmedabad could not have been better. I am here on business and had one day to get out and see the city. Bhupen was a wonderful guide. Incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He took me on a really nice walk through the old city, to a variety of mosques and temples, to a breathtakingly beautiful step well, to the humbling Sabarmati ashram on the river, and a delicious lunch. It was the perfect way to spend my first day here in Ahmedabad and I would recommend his tour to anyone.

Starting off with an early and punctual pickup from our hotel, I have to give a quick shout-out to our well-informed and fun guide Mr Girish Gupta. He not only ensured we stay hydrated with the amazing tea of the city but also excited and thrilled with his immense stories and various facts about the city. We ended up having a fantastic lunch with our guide at the famous Lucky Restaurant Ahmedabad.

The city tour of Ahmedabad was a fantastic experience. Our guide reached right on time in a comfortable AC car. We visited the tranquil ashram of Gandhi and then a brilliant jain temple. The lunch was a local spread and very delicious. Another highlight was the old city with a brilliant mosque and bazaars it was a memorable day out to experience the city's culture.

This tour took us through many amazing places in Ahmedabad. It was timed perfectly to avoid these places being too busy when we got there. The views were incredible, and the explanations around the history of these places helped them come alive. The tour guide was very friendly and helped us see India in a way we wouldn't have been able to otherwise. Delicious lunch provided.

The city tour of Ahmedabad was a great one. Girish picked us from the hotel and we had a great time listening to the stories and exploring heritage monuments like the Gandhi ashram, Jain temple, Siddhi mosque and also a quaint bazaar. The step well was marvelous and i had never seen anything like it before. The lunch was a sumptuous Gujarati meal. It was a wonderful experience and possibly the best way to visit Ahmedabad.

Girish and driver Popat Bhai have just given us a thoughtful, wide-ranging and authentic day of heritage Ahmedabad. Without them we would never have found the sites, learned the history or met the people. Thank you Gents!!
