The statue of unity is a lovely excursion from Ahmedabad. The statue is spectacular and imposing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and helped us understand the contribution of Sardar Patel in unifying India. The statue is decided to him. The tour included a lovely indian lunch. Highly recommended .

It was great to see the amazing step well of Adalaj, the ashram and the old city. I was taken by Anand and his driver from my hotel. Something that I really valued was the conversations and explanations about any aspect of the Indian culture. I totally recommend!

This was an amazing tour. Our guide was right on time to pick us up in Ahmedabad. We had a clean and comfortable car. Thr driver was also polite and safe. The statue is awe inspiring It was a lovely day exploring the heritage and fascinating history of India. Very highly recommended.

My guide Bhupendra was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable about all of the sites, and made sure I was always safe and comfortable. This is a great tour to get to know Ahmedabad a little more, and my favorite, to visit Gandhi Ashram. One thing I recommend to add to this description is that women should consider bringing a light scarf to cover their head in the Hutheesing Jain Temple.

The tour with Bhupen was an incredible experience and he was extremely knowledgeable about every stop along the tour. We especially enjoyed the Heritage Walk through the Old City and Adalaj Stepwell. The authentic Gujarat meal that we shared with Bhupen for lunch was our favorite meal on the trip and we enjoyed learning about all the different food. We couldn’t recommend this tour more.

My day in Ahmedabad could not have been better. I am here on business and had one day to get out and see the city. Bhupen was a wonderful guide. Incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He took me on a really nice walk through the old city, to a variety of mosques and temples, to a breathtakingly beautiful step well, to the humbling Sabarmati ashram on the river, and a delicious lunch. It was the perfect way to spend my first day here in Ahmedabad and I would recommend his tour to anyone.

Very interesting and insight into the life of the maharaja whose family still lives there. Good audio is available in all languages to guide your round the part of the Palace that is open to the public. The building is a magnificent testimont to the architecture of the time it was built. Certainly a very good half day out to tour this building and its surroundings.

We greatly enjoyed this tour with Girish. We felt immersed in the wonder of the step well and in the life of Mahatma Gandhi at the ashram.

We came to Ahmedabad for 4 days for a wedding. The bride made tour arrangements through our hotel for our first day. The tour guide picked us up and it turned out they only sent a driver who did not speak English even though my brother-in-law had made it clear that we wanted an English speaking tour guide and not just a driver. He was dropping us places with no context and no help navigating the language barriers. I reached out to Five Senses Tour at about 9:40 am at our first stop when it became clear the tour wasn't going to work. They responded within an hour and arranged for Girish to meet us at Sabarmati Ashram within 2 hours. This was so amazing since it was also New Year's Day. Girish took over our tour and gave us an great, in-depth tour of the Ashram, Hutheesing Jain Temple, showed us one of the old city gates, got us tea and a butter sandwich at Lucky Restaurant, showed us The House of MG, and told us about Sidi Saiyyed Mosque. We enjoyed his tour so much that we arrange to do the World Heritage City Tour with Girish on our last day in Ahmedabad. Girish was so knowledgeable and you can tell he loves his city and wants everyone to love Ahmedabad. It was also clear, while we were walking around, that the locals appreciate Girish as well. We really appreciate their taking us on last minute tour!

We did the city trip with Bhupen. We felt it was a bit expensive when booking but well worth it. Bhupen’s knowledge of culture, history and religion added a whole extra dimension to the trip. In addition we had a full traditional Gujerati lunch which was fabulous. Highly recommended.

This was my first time in India, travelling solo and this was one of the most pricey tours I’ve ever chosen. But I can say it was worth every cent/rupee. My guide was highly attentive (like when I told him I needed a rest room), fully knowledgeable (about local sights, their context and history) and positively spirited (making the day fun as well as deeply culturally interesting). I highly recommend it to others.
