Having a quick stopover we wanted a local experience for half a day on a Sunday. We met our guide Sandra at Tipu Sultans Summer Palace, then explored local Temples, the fort, fruit, spice & flower KR markets, silk makers & tried food at a local cafe. This guided walk was so interesting, very busy & colourful! Sandra was brilliant, had great local knowledge and shared many cultural insights & local history. This can be an overwhelming place but we felt safe & she guided us at all times. The little extras were also welcome, local bangles, fresh flowers & the tasty treats at the cafe… Would recommend this tour if you want to see this side of life here 🤩

I had the best time on this city tour and learned a lot from Sandra! She’s an excellent story teller and the pace of the tour was ideal- enough time to enjoy and ask questions but never felt antsy. Getting to see the hand dyed silks and the sari machines was a highlight!

This is a great introduction to Bangalore and India in general. Sandra was incredibly knowledgeable about Indian history, heritage and culture. The trip covered a palace, a temple, a fort, the spice/fruit/veg/flower markets, silk production, jewellery and included a brunch stop for some delicious local cuisine. A lot to take in but it didn’t seem rushed or overly tiring. This was the perfect start to my first visit to India.

My second trip with Unventured after being impressed with the Bengaluru walking tour. This day trip was a long drive but worth it to see Mysore and other parts of India outside the city. Ajith was my guide today and very helpful and knowledgeable. Food was taken care of throughout the day with local stops for breakfast, lunch and sweets. So many sites to see but Mysore Palace and the Toy Factory were my favorites. Take this trip! See more of this large and beautiful country while learning its history. Unventured is a great tour company who worked with me and are very accommodating.

Tej and the Unventured team really knocked it out of the park for me by listening to my needs and building two walking tours precisely for my needs. I was hoping to learn more about Hinduism with a temple tour and we saw three of them in just a few hours. I learned while experiencing the temples (and even got some ceremonial ash to take home as a souvenir). On a separate trip, I hiked Nandi Hills which mind you is 2,000+ steps so my guide was very patient with me as I monitored my heart rate up the hill. I learned about the environment around Nandi hills and even was able to purchase a Tandoori pot for cooking at home. From potters hands to my stove at a very reasonable price, so much so I had to top him. Thanks Unventured for a memorable experience(s).

Highly recommend this tour to get an introduction into Bangalore’s city center and rich history. Our guide, Midhu, was very knowledgeable and thoughtful throughout the day. She took us to see many historical landmarks, a temple, and the market. The market was the highlight with all the flowers and our guide had us sampling local spices and fruits. We had a wonderful lunch at a local place. Wear comfortable shoes! I was very pleased with Unventured. They are quick to respond to emails and very helpful.

A Fascinating Glimpse into Bangalore's Rich History & Culture This tour provided a wonderful introduction to Bangalore, blending historical sites with vibrant cultural experiences. Our guide, Pooja, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, bringing the city's past to life. Highlights included exploring the remnants of Tipu Sultan's palace and learning about his innovative "rocket" technology. The visit to the Kote Venkataramana Temple was a beautiful immersion into Hindu spirituality and the grandeur of the Vijayanagara Empire. The flower market was an explosion of colors and scents – a photographer's dream! And seeing the intricate silk weaving process firsthand was truly fascinating.

What a great tour! Midhu was a burst of energy providing great historical background while keeping the tour light and fun. Definitely a must see.

I joined Bengaluru by Tuktuk and can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience Bengaluru through the eyes of the locals. It was a very professionally organized tour with great insights and impressions. We visited places that are typical for Bengaluru and outside the typical tourist sightseeing tours. Big thanks to Pooja, my tour guide, who shared her knowledge with me and answered all my questions with a lot of passion.

My experience with Unventured was fabulous from start to finish. Veena was particularly great to deal with. I’m a solo traveller and I’d been searching for a reputable company in Bangalore to help organise a private hiking tour for me. I wanted to customise my experience so that I could undertake specific activities that interested me the most … solely centred around hiking in beautiful locations. Veena sourced me an English speaking guide, who also happened to be a mountaineering and survivalist instructor that teaches people to scale the Himalayas, so I was in good company. Nithyam was not only a capable guide, but he is also a thoroughly lovely chap and it was my pleasure to spend the day with him (despite my fitness levels being lower than his). Not knowing the area, I was reliant on unventured choosing beautiful locations and they certainly didn’t disapoint. They also organised a private pick up too and from my hotel which was luxurious and very convenient. Without a second thought, I would rate the company and my experience as 5*++. Thanks to all the team for helping make this one of life’s memorable moments 🙏

Midhu gave me a tour of the city. She is a visual communications major, so not only did she communicate well, but her pictures were really well composed. Really enjoyed the tour which provided a good balance of history, culture, and business. The Tuk Tuk was nice especially in the heat to cool off. Midhu was also very clued in hosting and made sure to offer water, stops, etc. Even though a student, she was equivalent to experienced guides I've had in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Kyoto.

Great moment with Gladys across the past of Bangalore (Tipu Palace and the Fort) and the vibrant KR Market. An incredible mix of people, colors and tastes. I recommend !
