- Satyasundar S0 contributionsPuri the emotion of Bengali peopleBest places to visit with family member and enjoy very much. All must visit puri and must see all the town and konarak. Dhabalgiri. Udaygiri. Khandagiri. Lingarajmondir. Nandan kanan.Written 14 September 2024
- Daydream526515694020 contributionsWorth visiting when in OdishaSplendid view from top. Felt relaxed. Worth visiting this place. There is a free lift that takes you the top from the base...use it From parking place where you slight from vehicle...there is no need to take a rickshaw to go to the base....it's a 4 minutes walk climb with a smooth road.Written 19 February 2024
- BackPacker5897670 contributionsMisleading description and poor trip….In short a dud. Very disappointing. Picked up from hotel to go to Puri but no guide. The driver did not speak English. No mention in description of tour that entry to the temple complex restricted to Hindus. (Even my Hindu wife was not permitted as resident in UK and married to Christian). So nothing to do except view the top of temple from the building site outside the compound walls. Then driven to an unexceptional beach, another small rural temple of little interest, and to a few handicraft shops. No drinks or snacks as advertised. Driver good, guide not an official tourist board guide spent most of time on phone and alarmingly threw litter out of the car window into the beautiful Odisha countryside. A waste of time and money.Written 9 November 2023
- PK6490 contributionsIn Brief a visit to Lord JagannathPlace of Lord Jagannath. The place is usually crowded be it day Or night. You will get darshan n max time taken will be 30minutes.While visiting Temple never carry mobile. You can wear chappals. This will reduce one que for depositing mobile in vault n save time. Enter from rear entrance West gate. You can keep chappals nearby. No one will take them. Have fulfilling darshan of Lord Jagannath. When you exit than please visit Anand Bazaar. This is place where you buy Bhogh prepared in temple. Belief is that Mata Laxmi supervises bhog preparation. So do not miss that. Taste no five star restaurant can provide. Awesome. Also u can purchase dry prasad for carrying. Khaja tastes best. Also lots of variety. Do not miss anand bazaar and Mata Laxmis food.Written 6 February 2023
